It's not hard to say that Acid and DXM have always been there.

2C-E is wonderful, but in retrospect, seems like a hedonistic kind of high, as do some of the other 2C-pheny's. Shrooms are iffy. Though I've never had a "bad-trip" on shrooms, I've had dull experiences and I have had life changing religious and shamanistic experiences. I don't like the unpredicability of shrooms. Not to mention the price, if I'm going to shroom I am going to eat at least an 8th.

Granted I have enough good acid, I always manage to have a meaningful experience. And DXM was my first psychadelic and it has a place in my heart. DXM is how I imagined a psychadelic experience would be like before I ever tried a psychadelic. Though it fries up your brain like an egg, I love how DXM seperates my mind, body and soul and allows for deep introspection and free association without ego loss or the weight of strong emotions. You can make more bizarre phenominon occor on DXM I than on acid IMO.
 
I agree. 2C-B is great fun. I was just teasing anyway. Once upon a time I formed my initial opinion of 2C-B based on your posts about how it's pretty mediocre, or at least that's how I took it. I guess all you were ever saying was that it's not very deep though.
 
From Shulgin's own lips, 2CB is HIS closest psychedelic ally ... I'd heard this before but was kind of surprised to hear it I guess only because 2CB gets such a bad rap around here for not being very deep and my own (pretty limited) personal experience says the same ... I agree it's a very special compound that gives you a very special feeling but it just never felt that psychedelic to me unless you added something (LSD?) ... but I wouldn't turn up my nose at some 2CB. Love the stuff.

swallow 40mg with no psychedelic tolerance (or 50 or 60, a friend of mine has even taken 80mg) and it will give you quite a trip.
Though not deep in the way that mushrooms or LSD can be it is deep in how raw and logical it will make you in regards to your emotions.

i almost find it to be 2c-e lite.
though since its more fun, easy, sexy than 2c-e i like it more.

dont under estimate 2c-b. it is a great psychedelic, though i know im in the minority when i say that.

and at lower doses it gives you a nice roll.
all around great chem.

im not surprised the shulgins love it.
 
Yeah, definitely never tried to rock out 40+mg of 2CB. 35 i think was the most I did and it was definitely a great warmth, visuals ... but not too psychedelic in my mind.

High dose 2CB isnow on my agenda ...
 
Mescaline... good vibes and a lucid trip. The cactus goddess is a great ally to have <3

2C-D and 2C-E were exceptional trips that seemed to gel with my brain chemistry rather well... As far as tryptamines go I seem to have an affinity for psilocybin and it's analogs (ACO-DMT and HO-DET are what I've tried... Interesting.)

It's strange how it came about, since I don't think it's really mentioned in THIKAL other than perhaps a passing mention in the HO-DMT entry... I'm extremely baffled by this one, the last time I sampled it at 16mg I got a hefty tryptamine asskicking with entity contact and everything... I should write a TR for that one, since it was so classically alien in theme. I find it interesting how this chemical resembles psilocybin yet blends it with cosmic DMT themes in a way that suggests a similar MOA as an oral DMT trip with MAO. That last sentence is something that would trip one out in an ACO-Deemsters sort of way ;P All seriousness aside, I get a "digital ayahuacua" vibe from this chem that "I" probably won't fully understand until a higher dose enlightens me to it's nature.

I'm not really sure its a good idea to eat this much 2C-B. I have felt like 25mg almost gave me a seizure. The only other times I have felt this way was during somewhat of a cocaine/booze OD and again when withdrawing from excessive benzo use.

Actually I believe 50, 60, 80mg doses are going to be far too intense, massively stimulating, and borderline dangerous for a lot of people.

Are you sure you're not working with a rather impure batch?
 
I guess I am just behind the times :p. I hear more and more about it lately though. Or maybe it is just the company I am keeping ;)
 
well im not sure that the 2cb i was using was pure, but i have worked with muliple batches and effects always seemed pretty consistant.
A 30mg dose fealt right when dealing with the Hcl, but lately most 2cb is the Hbr salt which is slightly less potent.
With 2c-b hbr i find that the real good psychedelic effects kick in for me at ~40-50mg.

I wasnt really suggesting people take such high doses.
But if 30mg doesnt feel strong enough and fairly benign on the body i dont see anything wrong with raising the dose.
Especially since the 2c's have proved to be pretty safe physicaly even when taken at really high doses.
I know there are reports of people taking 2c's into 100+mg territory.
if i recall correctly i even remember your 2cc reports that included doses ~80mg. Which some would say is pretty high.

As i mentioned, a friend took 80mg once and was no more disturbed by it physically or mentally than when he takes 40 or 50mg. The only difference noted was the extreme visuals. He described it as barely being able to see 5 ft in front of him.

personally, i like 2cb ~25-35mg to just have fun with my gf, roll, giggle, have sex etc.
i use doses higher than that on rare occasions to work through issues in my life. I find 2cb to be a great ally in that respect.
