I have to disagree completely. A nice fresh mushroom doesn't taste that horrid, plus it doesn't haev that disguisting crunchy texture... its more akin to eating a piece of fruit..
 
^^ haha, well okay, you like fresh ones better, i like the dry ones... i can't absoluteley stand the horrid taste of mushrooms, i have had this since i was very little (mushrooms in general make me gag or even worse, puke:) ). i don't like to stuff my mouth with a big chunk of fresh mushrooms, you have to chew it in order to swallow it, the taste, ooow awful, sorry but i like the decrease in amount, it suits me better!!;)
 
Thanks guys, so if common sense is of any use here, what I'd expect, is for the fresh mushrooms to be a bit more to eat (ugh) but they would still give the same overall trip as dried? (If maybe just a little longer to set in?) cheers!

i would also recommend drying, ofcourse the potency of fresh ones are guaranteed, but dry they are sooo much easier to ingest. btw, i don't think the freshness of the mushrooms have something to do with the nausea, i think it just depends on your stomach contents.

and actually it's worse than a waist of time it fucked. sure you can have more than a single dose in one trip to increase duration and peak etc.
but once you come down give it a break 8( The toxic affects of mushies build up really quick if you just keep eating larger doses for a good trip day after day..ahhhh...it's not pleasant. The're not too b over done 8(

your right nausea is an individual thing. I get it way worst than most but I trip harder 2.

Yeah, you'd have more mass to eat and fresh have a stronger taste. Fresh are also said to be a little bit more potent than dried, but it's not a big difference.
 
The mushrooms I'll be getting are "Fresh Mexican Cubensis" - does this have any relevance? - I only ask because I heard somewhere that some "mexican" varieties are only 50% water fresh? Someone enlighten me :)
 
2.25 grams is the perfect amount for the first time.
Well, thats my opinion anyway. Or just split an eighth and a half between 2 people. Perfect. ohhhh boy.
 
2nd time schrooming QUESTIONS!

Ive always been intrested in trying mushrooms, and last weekend me and two other friends all did them for the first time, we only got 4.5grams or so total, which was 1.5grams each. It wasnt as what i expected, it just felt like a really intense high, but i wasnt really tripping, and neither were my friends. This weekend one of my friends just got 9grams and we think were gonna go for a 2nd attempt, but i want to know should i be trying them only a week apart? And if so, how much should i take?
 
It is fine to try them only a week apart, you shouldn't encounter any problems. But after this, just remember that over-use of any drug has its consequences - Moderation is the key.

If you took 1.5 grams the first time and didn't trip... that sounds like it's not uncommon to me, but they probably weren't the greatest mushrooms. I would split the 9 grams in thirds. 3g a piece should get you where you are seeking to be... that amount always results in great trips for me.
 
ya ok, thanks ill probably take 3 grams, by the way, is an 8th of bud the same weight as mushrooms? 3.4grams? I would guess so because its all based on weight, but some people have told me difrent, id like to wiegh out my schrooms to make sure im not getting ripped or anything
 
Yeah, an 1/8th of anything is 3.5g's.
The only problem with taking them a week apart is your tolernce wont be all the way down. You should still have a nice trip, just a little less intense than if you waiting another week to eat them.
 
im a little off on the whole trip part of mushrooms, to know that im tripping will i start seeing stupid shit happen? Will it be obvious?
 
How bout drinking eating before mushrooms?

Some say orange juice is good to drink? But others say it only works for LSD, is it very important to fast before eating them?

how many hours do you reccomend of fasting before eating ?
 
I hate to be cliche, but when you are tripping you will just know... kindof like the first time you get high.. your visuals will increase with themore you take..

ive never drunk before mushrooms, save your alcohol for after... at least to me and my friends, drinking seems like the only possible thing left to do in the world after a good mushroom trip.
 
I didnt mean Alchoal, i mean liquids they may help absord the schrooms into your system, water? orange juice? etc. oh well up for the night
 
Ok, the whole orange juice thing isn't real. Drinking orange juice will not potentiate any psychedelic, except perhaps in the placebo sense. In terms of drinking just make sure to stay properly hydrated. Nothing's really going to move the alkaloids from the shrooms into your system any 'faster' or 'better.'

When I used to use all the time I wouldn't eat anything the day of ingestion of anything like X or shrooms. But that's just me. Many people think 6 hours is plenty.

In terms of knowing you're tripping you wont see any hallucinations. Like, you wont see couches standing up and eating people. The kinds of things you'll see are waves running through the carpet, or the carpet rippling like heat is coming off it. Patterns (like wood grain) flowing, kinda like water. Lines sort of waver and bend.

That kind of stuff. I'd say try the three grams and you will likely enjoy it, especially if you liked the 1.5.

i looked at the shrooms and they are all black and small like the last ones, but i think they might be fresh because they are damp, and the bag is humid, the mushrooms actually smell like shit, like they had just been picked, is this bad?

should i still go ahead?
 
Shrooms can come in different colors, so I wouldn't rule them out. I would be more worried by the fact that they are damp. The shroom weights we give are the "dry weights" and if they are wet (I mean like really wet, fresh picked) then 9 grams wouldn't be as much. 1 gram dry is about 10g wet. Now if they are just a little damp, then they are probably somewhere in between. So hopefully they are just slightly damp, and they are close to the dry weights.
