I'll just say again, I fully support the mods actions. If anything, looking at the present situation, the place is under moderated IMO. Back a few years when things did run smoother, complaints were generally directed straight to mods through PM, and most dirty laundry wasn't aired on the board. If the situation wasn't resolved, the option to move on was always there - as it still is. I hate to have to say it, but if I was in a mod today, some of you would have been banned long ago - and that's coming from someone who never directly banned anyone when he was mod.
Why? Well, some of you might argue it's because I've got less patience nowadays, or that I don't do enough drugs- yes, believe it or not that's been suggested
I like to think it's simply because most people around a few years ago were here for the right reasons, and most had something which is sorely missing today - that wee thing which means so much - respect.
fwiw, I've been seriously thinking of moving on for some time, not because of the mods, but because some hard heads simply don't get it and probably never will. There are one or two other HR places that are far more attractive atm, and I simply haven't the time or energy to cover them all. Had it not being for the hard work of the early mod teams, coupled with the almost desperate effort by some of the present mods to right this sinking ship, I'd have gone long ago. So more than anything, I'm still here to offer them support and encouragement, which is well deserved and not given often enough. FFS, the ridiculous suggestions that our new mods are here for some ulterior motive is laughable at best, and only demonstrates the desperate measures some people will lower themselves to when they can't get their own way.
Thank you puckboy. It's certainly a pity some of those currently complaining can't take a leaf out of your book. Others have demonstrated the same - maturity and sensibility winning out over some desire to kick and scream when they can't get their own way; doesn't matter that their ideals might go against the fundamental reasons for BL being here in the first place. To those who do accept that compromise is conducive to any happy community, it's commendable, and I take my hat off to you
. But, it would seem, appreciation is a word some people just don't understand. The mods aren't here to change your shitty nappies, so to those who think they should be, I say grow up and learn some respect.
Everyone should accept that no single forum can be everything to everybody - and that's why most places like this have many. If harm reduction isn't the principle reason for you posting in Aus DD, and you're not willing to compromise some of your ideals for that cause, then perhaps the cold hard reality is that this isn't the place for you. If you're not happy with an HR forum, and not willing to spend time on other places on or off this board so as to satisfy desires not catered for here, you should think long and hard about what you're actually here for.
So, let's see more of the worthy kinds of suggestions as displayed by those genuinely interested in improving the integrity of Aus BL, and constructive criticism by those who genuinely feel a need to change something.

I've had posts deleted and at the time I was pissed but then I realised what AusDD is really all about and that's fair enough and stopped posting in that manner here. I let out all that other stuff I want to post/talk about in the other forums here on Bluelight.
