Good riddance to social, and may it never hinder us again,

This forum is to provide drug users with - information, not a place to share how much of x substance we have so we can then pm eachother deals and what not, which is inevitably what was probably happening.

^^^^ Yeah, but even then, you'd miss the universal conversation/thread that allows everyone to partake, and view previous parts of the discussion...

I'm pretty much past caring, too. Still disappointed. But, it means less time for me to spend on the 'net and be studious I guess, haha

the thing is we have a pm system in place to contact each other and then even have group conversations on IM programs. there's always the DC forum as well and the other forum i won't name.

hate this prepubescent anti-authority mentality. the moderators filter posts for the ultimate benefit of everyone else, not to jerk over themselves.

I hate having to sift through bullshit to get useful information.
It's Harm Minimization if you want to have social discussion with people that you cant via other means, post on one of these "swim is so fukde rite now" forums. the message is pretty clear on bluelight

I might have to ask as to why you would be looking through a social thread for useful information, the whole point was so that the bullshit stayed in one place.

A forum is being created as we speak for AusDD Blers who wish to be social.

There will also be measures taken to keep unwanted eyes from prying in.

I mentioned this a while back in the social thread but unfortunately it didn't go anywhere. Here's hoping it gets up and running - I'm all for moving the social side of it over to IRC and keeping BL on the pure HR side.

No one here is better than any one else. Just because you know more about something doesn't make you better than other people on the forum.
Treating people like idiots isn't going to get us any where.

Nor will the pathetic squabbles.
Nor will over moderation and censorship.

A social forum has been created but as of the attitude of some BLers lately, it will remain anonymous until the PLUR comes back.

If AusDD is 100% dedicated to the HR message it's working as it should be isn't it?

Spot on puckboy. Bluelight is a big and wonderful place and people would be surprised what else the site has to offer outside the regional discussions.

There's not a great deal to stop them from re-registering but it doesn't take them long to return to their old ways of disrupting the forum. The only real difference is that they aren't afforded the same luxury of numerous warnings before being banned again.

All we can do to overcome this is that you guys report anything that is bringing the forum down and the moderators try as best we can to clean up the mess.

^yes, reporting threads helps out mods a long way. even though i'm not an AusDD mod, i see reported threads from every forum and lack-there-of coming from AusDD participants.

now i'm not having a go or attacking anyone here but help the guys out in here and start reporting these posts.

AUDD has gone to shit, the draconic moderation has killed any fun or community, and people are posting less and less because there's no fun back and forth going on. It's all bland HR discussion. Sure HR is why this board is here, but at the end of the day there's only so many times you can tell someone not to drop pills back to back or to be careful combining downers or whatever before it gets old. We come for the HR, but we stay for the people, and without the community interaction that keeps any forum alive, the board will die.

Just compare the fun, laid backed atmosphere over in EUDD to AUDD, it's like night and day.

Anyway, that's my 2c.

I'm deeply confused about this thread. The title makes sense but the first post and the point of it being merged with another thread, and then some strange quote from some guy talking about coming off of pills and becoming addicted to coke, doesn't make any sense to me.

Regarding Bluelight and my experience. Since reading it haphazardly from 2000 onwards (I spent most of my time at ecstasy.org, rip Nicholas Saunders) I sort of joined up a few years later.

before i go on, i have to say that i really miss Aunty Establishment. I was hardly a friend or even known to her but i say that Aunty Establishment seem be part of the heart of old school bluelight.

In those days the site had a much more of a social vibe going for, lots of talking about "losing the magic" and much discussion on things like using 5-htp. Equally lots of talk about amphetamines, heroin, safe needle use lots of newbie posts. The rules were simply, no prices, no sources and no dick-sizing.

I don't like the new crowd, especially the recent moderators. I think they've pulled their heads in a little but i still intrinsically disagree with their inadvertent dick sizing, and some of their posts that included instructions on how to create certain drugs.

The only thread that seems to be going strong on bluelight is the LSD (5 ducks one) and even then i still don't like the vibe in it. Just a lot of people eating acid, nothing much happening and the same assumptions allowed to be posted.

The worst thing I have to say about bluelight is the constant assumptions about what's in drugs these days. I too have been guilty of this but some of the old moderators sent me straight (remember the Bermuda triangle thread?)

I seem to remember the days when we all agreed that nothing short of a gc/ms would suffice in any classic bluelight argument. I even remember how some of the then moderators (was it you phase dancer?) that got access to one. These days all i read is assumptions about what are in drugs. Even some of the mods are doing it which shits me especially when the imply that their knowledge is based on knowing the very people creating the disputed drugs.

Which leads me to my next point. I'm sick to death of hearing about how people know big sources. Sure your not telling us about it but eluding to it, discussing how big they are, and how awesome their drugs are is simply dick sizing and pointless.

If the mods really wanted to change bluelight to a much more focused HR site then prune those comments out of threads. I'd also suggest reading through classic bluelight.

perhaps the bigger problem is that bluelight is moving to a new generation of drug taking. There seems to be a colder harsher reality to drug use then what I have been used to.

Anyway i still feel quite upset at how many bluelighters seem to be leaving, especially those who have gone to the other side.

Its totally gone to shit, the moderation is disgusting, there is NO FUN here anymore, the moderators (in my opinion) have a hidden agenda. Bluelight,(Aus) is becoming quite the joke in the more serious forums
