How young is too young?

. Are you serious? Did he really? And I don't know why people keep telling me. That it's a bad idea when I had already realized that a long time ago. There is a lot of bullshit going on and maybe this thread should be closed... To generic mind, I hope you were not implicating ME as a pedo in your argument with coolio 8(
 
ive heard a story where a guy got convicted for having sex with a minor, and he even asked for ID and she showed him her fake.

You can't delete threads with replies. Only mods have the power to do that, or close them.


I still think that anyone who can justify sleeping with a 10 year-old has got some serious screws loose. As if they'd be physically mature enough to enjoy it in the first place.
 
Sure you can, you can delete the opening thread and the whole thing will disappear.
Now whether or not that is the way it SHOULD be is a whole different matter.

I know many times there have been people that didn't get what they wanted to hear that they delete it.
I don't think they should have the power to DO that is there is already a good discussion on the topic regardless what they think.
 
You guys are taking Coolio's posts completely out of context. He isn't saying HE would or wants to have sex with a 10 year old and calling it right - he is arguing for a 10 year old's right to determine for herself if she wants to have sex.

I have a question for GM and Pharcyde - how would you respond if you found out your 14 year old sister was having sex with another 14 year old? 15, 16? At exactly what age cutoff does it become justified for you to get violent with the person having sex with her?

How about if you found out your 14 year old brother was having sex with a 21-24 year old woman? Would you be tempted to get a female friend to beat her with a blunt object?

i think people understand his argument. an example of it would be: if a 10 year old wants to fuck a 35 year old, it should be the child's call. k, got it.

Do you think a 10 year old and another 10 year old should be able to have consensual sex?
 
It leads then to the question of what is different if it were a child and a 35 year old. I, like many/most people find this repulsive, personally, but a lot of people find homosexuality repulsive but this absolutely doesn't it should be illegal.

If a child is competent enough to consent to sex with another child, how is the consent different if it is with an adult? Is it because of an assumed exploitation in the relationship? If that is the case, I don't really think a blanket ban or an arbitrary age limit is a very realistic approach to it. I'm sure that the law does protect a lot of children who do need protecting, but I'm sure it also sends a lot of barely-beyond-children-themselves men to jail and brands them sex offenders for something they did that both they and the girl they were with were happy about.

it's a complicated question that could be the subject of a long essay, many long essays, but i would sum it up in saying: a child can healthily experiment in sexual relations with their young, curious peers, but that does not mean the are old enough to get fucked. adults fuck, and many want to fuck little girls (i know, women are capable of sexual abusing children and boys can be the victim too). but most adults know better and have a functioning conscience, and for those that don't we have statutory rape laws that are certainly in need of reform.
 
I think you are too old for her. If I were her parents, I would not approve. I know five years isn't a huge difference in the grand scheme of things, but when it comes to someone who's 16 and someone who's 21 it truly is. The difference between your lives at this point is quite huge. She's in high school and probably going through your typical, immature high school phases whereas you're an adult with a job, a place to live on your own, adult responsibilities she can't possibly understand at this point, etc. I seriously doubt you will be able to relate to her very much and this is generally no good for relationships.

Besides, it just kinda seems a little creepy =/

I dont play that sex offender logic shit, you did it, and if I see you Im going to smash you. I dont care really what age she might be, your a fucking adult go find another consenting adult.

No I'm not. He's saying it's a 10-year-old's choice to have sex with an adult. I'm saying they're too young to make that choice. He thinks it's ok for an adult and a 10-year-old to have sex. I don't. Supporting the "right" for pedophiles to have sex with minors isn't any better than being a pedophile yourdself.

No, I wouldn't get violent with him. I wouldn't let it continue, though.

The cut-off is whatever I decide it is on a case-to-case basis. When it comes to the welfare of my family I trust my judgement over yours or the laws.
