My "issue" with it has nothing to do with me wanting to do harm against any guy going after my younger sister when he's in his early twenties. My sister dated a 22 year old when she was 17, I didn't do anything about it. I warned her it was stupid, but I never threatened the guy.

My issue centers around the idea that it would be so easy for her to go to the police, her dad, whoever and rat him out. Then he gets slapped with a sex offender profile that will follow him everywhere in life. You'd have one hell of a time getting even a mediocre job with that on your record; I'd venture to say it's worse than having a prison record on file.

Why not just ask her how old she is? Just because she said she's a junior doesn't automatically mean she is 15 or 16. She might have failed a grade, or started school a year later or something. My point is that you seem enthused by her already, so before giving up, find out the facts. I say if she's 17, go for it. Any younger, and forget about it.

There is quite a gap in maturity between 16-ish for females and 19-ish for females. Same goes with males, as well.
