[VIC] Rainbow Serpent Festival 2010 - Jan 25, 2010 - Beaufort REVIEWS!!!!

I worked on the gate at Pyramid Rock Festival twice over the years and we did full car checks on every single vehicle that entered. To the point where everything was taken out of every car and then repacked. Took hours and hours, but we did it. :\

See, we've taken bottles of alcohol to Rainbow in the past, but have cheerfully taken all of our rubbish home with us. It's just a shame that the people who happily turf their bottles of 'beam and whatnot wherever they like ruin it. :\

I wont be able to get mercury draught cider in cans :(

I love drinking that at festivals because it doesn't bloat me like beer

Going to have to fill the camel pack with some strange concoction this year...

Maybe i'll just funnel whatever i find into one big god awful alco brew :)
 
Hardcore cider party! At our housewarming last month, we ended up with about 6 different ciders - Mercury Draught is still my favourite.

We should all have a cider Saturday at Rainbow 2011 :D
 
Going to be getting my ticket today! Can't wait for this one.

Just wish I bougth it earlier (I've had plenty of opportunities) coz they're $215 with postage anbd everything.

Actually, I might hold off. If anyone can get me a ticket cheaper, and is in Melbourne, PM me.
 
Seriously though, there is no way they can stop people bringing glass, esky checks for EVERY carload is out of the question. I'm still going to try and bring me coopers, will see how lucky I am

Hmm i have heard that it could sell out this year :\ so it might be a good idea to get a ticket while you still can, that's if you really want to go.

yeah I know. But I'm going to hold off until wednesday when I move back to melbourne and can grab em cheaper through a promoter, or a store. Its just once you add postage and booking fees, its like $215 for one ticket8o
 
^^^ buy a bloody ticket or you will probably miss out on a great festival.

Better off spending up now than missing out all together in the hope of saving a few $

Who is going to sell a ticket for less than $215 now anyway?

Maybe if someone gets seriously ill at the last last minute, you may get lucky (better cross your fingers!)

On the glass topic once again...

My good mate had his RSF09 weekend ruined by a nice piece of broken glass in the arena which left him with a deep 5cm gash and unable to put pressure on one foot for the bigger part of the festival

You may be responsible with your glass but it's so easy to put down a beer (or whatever else) and have it broken by accident. This then fucks it up for those of us who like to get all natural and stomp bare foot :)

I love cider that only comes in glass bottles and even i'm going to suck it up and get cans of some other crap this year

Let's keep this new site free of dangerous objects (other than me in full party mode ;))

Mate, I am surprised you didn't buy one at the launch, they were 150 there!

Hey Psilo, I heard of a guy who cut his foot open on a can once, so can's can be pretty dangerous too.

Mind you, who would be silly enough to get their foot cut on a can???

Of course you can manipulate an aluminum can into a cutting device but it takes a bit more than what is required to break a glass bottle

Don't make me bring my MERCURY DRAUGHT now baysie :p

In-mates make cutting/stabbing weapons from tooth brushes so why not ban them while we're at it :)
 
Because there probably won't be too many prisoners fashioning adhoc weapons there to shiv people with?
