[VIC] Rainbow Serpent Festival 2010 - Jan 25, 2010 - Beaufort REVIEWS!!!!

Also, as we were driving out on the monday arvo we saw the drug bus going in. Further down the freeway a bit there was a bunch of rainbow kids standing around one of the exits looking a bit silly with a police chopper circling overhead.

I left tuesday at about 11am and all they had was a booze bus testing for alcohol. Were they actually doing drug tests on Monday?
 
One of the articles I read said they were drug testing for 4 hours on Monday arvo - 90 tests were performed, no positives.
 
I at last got around to getting to my first RS. Following the line of cars down the Lexton road, suddenly the signs appear... 'Slow Down, Major Event' (or something) got me all tingly.

For the whole day after i got back i felt like i was jetlagged. Which makes sense cos all thru Terrafractyl i was flying. So good. Everyone there was great. Loved it.

We have a feeling they planned the whole thing cause they avoided us all weekend even though we were camped in the same area. Had we been 10min later getting back to our campsite we would probably been stranded there. I feel bad for the other guy who came with us and would hate to of been in his shoes when he came to our campsite to check we were still leaving at 6am the next day (which is what they told us as well but we busted them with their car all packed up and about to leave at 6pm the night before) and found us gone already. Honestly we sat in the car all the way back to melbourne hoping the reason he wasn't with us was because he had mates he was going to get a lift back with instead and these people didn't say anything about him.

But yeah the food was awesome there, the music was good, the general vibe was great, loved the canaconda (hahaha at one point we wondered what the bulb ver might of ended up looking like if they did something similar), didn't make it down to the pool party but theres always next years and yes we are planning on going again. I thought the party was well organised, worth making plans already for next years and certainly beats the big day out which is what we normally go to that weekend any day :) (however if rage against the machine are playing bdo again, we are going to have a problem). I think a few of our mates who have never been are going to come with us next year too.

saw kats post up at the info tent but quite soon after that i lost my shit hence mssed anymeet ups. Wikid weekend, kant believe its taken me this long to get to a RSF.

Rates up there as one of me top festivals!!
Look forward to the next, probs hit some of the smaller doofs between now and next RSF.
