FL-UK....What a game!

Yesterday vs LSU and today may be exactly what these Cats needed. Calipari just said they have swagger but have borderline arrogance and they have to get rid of the arrogance if they wish to keep winning and win it all. If this team team can get better I don't know how. AD for POY, DPOY and FOY.

Anyway, I still think you're the best team in the country. I'm either picking y'all or Missouri at this point.

^ LOL. I know you're not into sports, so is it work related?

MSU losing before they face the Buckeyes in the probable Big Ten Championship Game would be my dream come true!
I am into sports as it dictates my schedule and workload.
It will be hellish if they get to the top 8 of the conf.
So it's all work related, but I keep up on it to plan my day/week.

Sorry OSU lost. I root for anyone that beats MSU.

Bummer that UK lost the SEC tourney final but I think it will reset their mentality going into the NCAA tourney. And really, it is probably a relief for those guys at this point. They have had a tremendous run since losing to Indiana back in December and this loss should allow them to relax and become hungry again. The second round game vs UConn should be huge.

Good win for Vandy though and they might just find their way into the Elite 8.

And for the record....Pac 12 teams suck. Dont advance them in your bracket. What a crappy b-ball conference. Ugh.

Interesting that the "experts" are picking either UK to win it all or Mich St over UK in the Final 4. Funny though, Hubert Davis picked UNC to win it all. homerlulz

i'm giddy like a little girl right now.

upsests i'm thinking about picking in the 1st are:
- Long Beach St
- Davidson
- Colorado St
- Texas
- West VA

Right now, my Final 4 is:
- Kentucky
- Missouri
- FSU
- UNC

All of this will probably change, but I just filled out a rough draft.

i like long beach state, they have former gopher(and gonzaga, when they came out of the wood work) coach dan monson

i always take kansas to win it all

i have belmont going to sweet 16, only real cinderalla i have traveling, the mid majors are due for a down year

first 1 seed out? syracuse cause i hate them and i like kansas state, coach frank martin is bad man

Nice picks. LBSU is a solid 1st round pick because they are battle tested. Same with FSU if they decide to play.

LOL @ the Pac-12 as a conference this year. just IMAGINE if Colorado didn't join the conference this year, what team would represent them then??

sucks to see tOSU lose to MSU. god damn, I will be happy to not see MSU for an entire year. Tom Izzo is pound-for-pound the best Coach in all of the NCAA. much better than that cheating good for nothing John Calipari ;)

Vandy beat Kentucky because they don't match up very well. across the board, Kentucky has a young team that is big, tall, long and just plain TERRIFYING at tough D. Vandy is a senior-laden team that hits shots like no one's business. when a team is on-fire such as Vandy was in the SEC CG, they will be a HARD team to beat

I am ready for the Madness!! SO EXCITED!! anybody want to start an e-group where we can all compete against one another and all fill out our brackets? I would, but I am not that smart at the computer, and I am so busy now that I am working 40 hours a week + my Senior Moderator duties on top of that!!

I'm thinking Ohio State topples Syracuse, the number one seed in their bracket. I don't think tOSU is good enough to advance over the Final Four and into the National Championship. but shit... if your team even gets into the FF it is quite the accomplishment. and then at least you're saying they have a chance!

anybody see Barack Obama's Presidential Bracket? I think I agree with him on his Final Four... it was KY, Kansas, Ohio State, and Mizzou. it seems like the Michigan State/Missou debate is a great one... that is going to be a tough bracket to come out of... shit... it looks like all teams have tough brackets. the Kentucky Wildcats are like the OSU Buckeyes of last year - in that their bracket has some absolute MONSTERS

anyways - March Madness has me in a fucking frenzy! what a great time to be a baskety hoops fans!!

entered two pools, one of which i have tOSU cutting down the nets

let's go buddy!

love the tournament for the fact i can go visit my brother and actually have an awesome time with him, that dude loves sports more than anyone i know, i see it destroying his marriage

I told my girl "BITCH YOU BETTER NOT TOUCH THE REMOTE FOR THE NEXT THREE WEEKENDS!"

ok, maybe that harsh of a version was only what my subconscious wanted to say, but the point remains the same ;)

but holy fuck man. a dude can only stand to watch how many Friends and How I Met Your Mother re-runs?!

my first bracket I got Kansas over Baylor in the final, final four of Baylor, Michigan St., Kansas, and Syracuse. Notable upsets: FSU over Ohio St., Baylor over Kentucky, Duke, and Mich. St.

2nd bracket a bit more chalk, Ohio St. over Kentucky in the final, Final four of UK, Missouri, Ohio St, and North Carolina. Notable upsets: Wisconsin over Syracuse, Louisville over Mich. St

I dont think there will be too many cindarellas this year, if any. Unless you consider Baylor a cindarella (3 seed, not really)

also Drexel got hosed WTF

re: Drexel - yeah, this wasn't the year for those small mid-major schools. unlike last year...

and I think those are some pretty solid picks, Shimazu. the level of competition all around the board is freaking SCARY this year, to reiterate a point I made a month or so ago here in this thread. once again, the true winner here is the NBA, this next draft class is LOADED with talent

I try to pick teams that have a shot, but not that many people are picking. Im the only one in my pool that picked Kansas (I won a pool in 08 by picking Kansas, Mario Chalmers ftw) and only two other people picked Ohio St in my other one.

Also, I dont like Calipari, the guy has the most NBA talent every year yet fails to win a title. And their center Anthony Davis is a good player but hes too scrawny. Get a big man with some meat on him and I think he'll get rattled. The main reason I don't like Kentucky though is because of one incident in a regular season game they played vs Tennessee at home. They were starting to pull away with a sizeable lead and one of their Small Forward-sized players just made a bucket and got fouled. Two Tennessee players were trying to give each other a high five (like everyone and their mother could tell thats what they were about to do) and the UK dude just walks right between them with a look of total superiority on his face. One of the Tenn. players got mad and there was some pushing but nothing serious. But I still disliked UK from that day on, teams that think they're unbeatable usually are the ones getting upset. Confident, not cocky. Thats how you win. Score your points and shut up. Real winners dont over-celebrate, they act like they've been there before.

I derp'd my way through filling out a bracket last night for my work pool without knowing shit about any of the teams. Lets see if I can win some money anyways!

i just realized minnesota made the NIT, quite a surprise

call me nuts, but with a young team like the gophers have i'd rather win the NIT, or at least play 3 games, for developmental purposes, than making the tournament and getting blown out in the first round

5 point lead on la salle with 3 minutes to go, yay

I just realized in hindsight, that I could have upset all this.
I cook for MSU coaches and star players every week pre-tourney.
Why not just poison them and fuck with the Vegas odds/everyone's bracket.

Izzo is untouchable though. He doesn't eat at my place.
Also funniy enough, the women basketball players eat more than the male bb-ball or football players.

this afternoon i plan on streaming bball at my desk and not doing anything else. show me the money.

we have $250 in our pool. winner takes 80%, second takes 20%.

lol Last night, I was watching the Bulls game (he's a fan, not I) with my roomie. He yells at something during the game and his wife (other roomie) from the other room says: "Has March Madness started already?" =D
