Haha.

Don't buy John Player (JP's) or any other cheap brand pouch tobacco. That is the worst thing I've ever tasted, I think they use the same tobacco for tailor made cigarettes! They just put it in a pouch and call it "roll your own" tobacco. Do you know how hard it is to roll a cigarette that is dryer than a nun's cunt?

JPS are tailors? Not the greatest smoke but they are no where near as expensive as Winnnies.

What! I love my tobacco dry and crumbly. And find it easier to roll.. I guess that's from learning using finely chopped weed and tailor tobacco.
 
Yeah they are, but they also had JP's and the other cheap brands in pouch form - maybe to try and get rid of stock before the new regulations came in, not sure. But don't do it, terrible, terrible smokes.

I bought a 25gm pouch of jps 'abundant gold' (haha what?) yesterday for less than I pay for a 20 pack of pall mall slims and yeah it's not great but shit for that price I'll smoke it. I'm considering going to footscray and getting a kilo of chop chop, I met a guy who smoked it and he reckoned a kilo cost him what you'd pay for a 50gm of nice rollie tobacco. He also said you can buy tailor 'blanks' - just the filter and paper without tobacco - and a packing machine and pack your own smokes with the chop chop. I scabbed one off him and it wasn't too bad, again for the price i reckon its worth it.

Anyone here smoke chop chop?
 
bitches gotta try their hand at rolling. Drum and Marlboro rolling tobacco go off. B&H is better pre-packaged though...

Might stop buying decks all together soon as the new packets are... fucking horrible, especially that cunt on the death bed.

^ that's a piece of history now.

When I was a cigg smoker Port Royal was my first choice, then moved on to Champ Ruby after a few years.
Think I started to get sick of the smell, just that tinge of rum. Weird because that same smell is what got me into them.

these sonsabitches made me spew my ring up after a night on the rum the first time having one. my friends father (RIP) smoked them and handed me one on the way dropping me home after a drinking session the night before with a bunch of the lads in highschool. i lit it, had about 3 or 4 puffs then rolled down the window and hurled my guts up quite hardcore.

i have not and will not ever enjoy that tobacco :P

Yeah could definitely see that happen, especially if smoked regularly. Then again I can smell it on my fingers at the moment and love it. Port Royal + long-neck of Guinness + Truman Capote + Elvis = Epic.

Question: does pouch tobacco have less of the nasty chemicals than standard cigarettes? For some bizarre reason if I smoke a standard cigarette, any brand, I will get a cracking headache with nausea, but if I roll my own I nearly never get that. I've asked other people who say that they never get the headache/nausea thing when smoking... am I just weak?
 
^ I think it's a little different, chemical wise. No facts to back me up, but when I smoke a pack of tailor mades after a long time now of smoking rollies, I also get headaches and other wierd side effects. Someone else probably knows more than me.
 
Just found out the answer and I wasn't imagining it:

"Cigarettes contain a complex cocktail of chemicals, many of which are toxic, chemicals are added in order to make the cigarettes burn more effectively. Things like acetaldehyde and pyridine are added to enhance the effect of the nicotine on the brain, additives are added to improve flavour such as cocoa which when burned produces bromine gas that dilates the airways of the lung."

Other sources agree that rolling tobacco has significantly less additives; on the other hand you also get more tar from it...
 
^ I haven't but I'd like to try one out, im nearing 30 and I really need to cut back on smoking because it's starting to affect my health. Ill do some research but you reckon they're a good substitute for regular smokes tent? Is there nicotine in them? My friend had some kind of e cig he'd bought from china that looked like a slightly fatter, longer steel tailor made and I had a few puffs on it and was quite impressed. He explained how it worked but it was a couple of years ago and I've forgotten, something about vapourising whatever was in the little capsule that went in it i think. I think he said there was nicotine in them and you could get flavoured ones, I remember it being a pretty decent imitation of the real thing and the vapour or whatever it was you breathed out looked almost exactly like smoke. I wonder if you could smoke them on a plane in the loo? I guess you could if it's not smoke.
 
yeah, you can get blends with nicotine in them and order up to 3 months supply at a time - forget how much it equals altogether. you can also get blends without nicotine. i've got two big bottles, one of the PG, one of the VG, plus a few 50/50 bottles mixed up for convenience when i want to make a quick blend without having to grab out the syringes, etc and measure everything up.

there's a whole culture behind the scene. there's some really elaborate smoking pieces as well as your simple pieces. the dual core atomizer seems to be the go at the moment, a lot nicer than the first basic one i bought; it's got a nice mouth piece on it as well which makes it that much more enjoyable.

as for smoking it in a plane, well, my friend got away with it on an international flight coming back from Japan. i've smoked through shopping centres, inside hospitals, etc and not got so much more than a weird look here and there. no one has really said anything - whether they know what it is or not or because they're not game to speak up. they don't leave much of smell, if at all.

they've been a nice substitute for me at least. especially being on the nod and not having to consistently roll and light up;) all i need to worry about it the battery dying or the mixture running out.

People will probably buy casings to put their ciggies in and there goes the government's multi million dollar master strategy...

I think I'll try port royals next - I just started smoking because in Asia ciggies are so cheap and goes so well with alcohol and caffeine.
 
there was some stickers that I saw on the news or something that covered them all perfectly.
 
i love marlboro menthols. i only started smoking them cuz my sisters ex always smoked them and they were 2 pack deals for $10 and the 2 pack deals never went away so for the last 1.5 years ive smoked marlboro menthols and probaly wont change brands.

but since i started in 05 ive switched from menthol lights to newports back to menthol lights and now i think i finally got a brand ill stick with
