What is the proper way to store desoxypipradol? Can it just be kept in a cool, dry, and dark area in an air tight container or does it require some sort of greater care? I have been doing that but the second time I really binged on it the stuff seemed less powerful. I know that tolerance develops quickly but these two times were probably a month apart.
 
Perhaps your container wasn't airtight? If you keep it completely airtight there should be no problem. However this is indeed quite hard to maintain under normal circumstances (eg. without lab equipment).
If you really want to make sure, I suggest you get hold of some sort of glass container made for this purpose and create nitrogen atmosphere in it. That should do the trick. However this seems to be overkill IMO.
 
ok, at the risk of asking an old question in a new way. I have ten hits of acid that some idiot decided to put on fruit pastels (a type of sweet with a sugar coating). I'm not planning to eat them any time soon so I put them in a tupperware box in a freezer. I then decided to add one of those little packets of descicant to the box for good measure. I have two questions:
1. is the descicant really necissary in the freezer (surely it's pretty dry in there anyhow). I could use the packet to keep my stash of mushrooms nice and dry.
2. Do you think there is much chance of the additives in the sweets having some horrible detrementous effect on the LSD.

Oh and although I'm not planning on taking the cid soon, I'm sure it won't be more that a year.
 
i might be gettin some liquid lsd but wont be able to store it in a freezer.......
what should i do for long term storage?
just keep the vial hidden in the dark?
put them on sugar cubes?
put them on that special water color paper? (i know its not how you properly lay it but maybe if i cut out big sqaures first then drop them on seperatlly ill know there all evenly layed....)
but what would be the best option?
 
^I would take it out of solution for sure, unless I was going to use it quickly. Just drop it on paper, using some better measurements then just the term "drop"...If you wanted to be anal and do each dose seperately, that would be easier but more time consuming. Until then, keep it dark.

Probably is pretty dry, besides all the water vapour and ice everywhere ;) Fridges are unfortuantely filled with water.... Just get anther packer of dessicant for your shrooms. Its not essential tht you use a desicant at all anyway, but its better to be paranoid with drugs. :D

Very little chance I would think.

Expect PERHAPS a drop in potency....
 
Not sure if this belongs in solubility (think not obviously) but I've read on more than one occasion that if you were to extract mushrooms with ethanol the psiloc(yb)in would keep very well as long as its in solution. Crashing out crystals apparently is not a very good idea, it would then degrade.
This seems counterintuitive because I learned from college chem that generally anything in solution is less stable than in solid form.
Would the solid form / crystals be harmed too quickly by oxygen then, is that it (because that can be circumvented).
I would be very interested to know if storing something like 4-HO-DiPT in a 96-100% ethanol solution (and then taking precautions against air/oxygen/light/moisture etc) would keep it OK very well? Especially if ascorbic acid were to be added...

Seems like adding ascorbic acid to anything pretty prone to oxidization is a good idea!
I may be planning on getting some 4-AcO-DiPT or 4-HO-DiPT in the future, I like the 4-HO profile better but I would like to be able to store it well otherwise the 4-AcO may be better for the long term...
Also if I were to extract mushrooms it is interesting to me why crystal product would degrade, if there are avoidable factors or if it just does something itself???
 
That seems weird since tryptamines in general are so fragile.

I can speak from experience that you want to store 4-HO-DIPT in amber vials in the freezer. I had a sample that was stored in a dark place in a clear vial at room temp and it had degraded noticeably after a year. I would never store a tryptamine in solution long term.
 
Hey, I have got a few hits of a delicate chemicle on blotter paper, I was wondering if this is good storage.

the blotter is wraped up in plastic wrap (with as much air taken out as possible, I am fairly sure its airtight, but I do not know for sure as I know plastic bags have tiny holes in them, but im not sure about plastic wrap so i would appreciate a response) then I have the plastic wrapped blotter wrapped in alluminum foil, and then I have that alluminum foil in a video game case under a disk then I have the video game case in my droors, So I am fairly sure that light wont be a problem. I never turn the heat on and my room is in the basement where its the coldest, and its pretty cold outside, I am fairly sure its somewhere below 60F (witch I hear is pretty decent).

Just wondering if I can get some comments on that.

From what I've read on Erowid this happens with 4-ACO-DET. I haven't seen that in that I only had one sample in a freezer for a few years but it was still powdery with a few clumps. I understand the experience is not changed at all other than just trying to measure some out.

I do think degradation stories are a little exaggerated. I had 2 samples of 4-HO-MIPT stored in a glass jar at room temp for 2 1/2 years. Luckly I assumed it was as strong as when I got it. 22 mgs was a bit much still.

I've seen doses kept at room temp last years too. I always remember what AH said about LSD. Stable but fragile. So a proper storage can and does retain certain fragile chems. The story of 40 year old LSD on Erowid is very interesting.

I've had the same thing happen with 4-AcO-MiPT fumarate. Turned a bit grey too. Kept in a vial at RT for 20 months. No noticeable drop in potency though.

This is the only RC I've seen degrading. Some 4-HO-MiPT I bought at the same time and kept in the same conditions looks as good as new. This suggests the degradation might involve the acetate.
 
freezer or refrigerator for dried mushrooms?

Searching this thread as well as other sites, I've found conflicting answers on the question of whether mushrooms are best stored in the freezer or the refrigerator. Can anyone related their personal, first-hand experience with these two methods? I'm looking to preserve for several years ideally.

If you are going to store them for that amount of time make sure that you air seal them in addition to keeping them freezer... why keep them for years tho?? Mold can grow on mushrooms and then I dont know if I would personally consume them. :\ Good luck.

Thanks Karma. Have you personally stored them this way, and if so, for how long?

Does anyone else have first-hand experience with storing in the freezer?

They do not require you to buy a minimum (like a whole case of 300 or whatever) like some places do. Even buying singles is pretty cheap.. like US$0.30-$0.80 for the ones most of you would be looking for. Thats a small investment for your expensive stash, and way better than keeping it in a flimsy baggie in the back of a drawer.

There are many totally legit reasons why you'd want something like this, and they have never done me wrong.

It seems that specialtybottle won't sell less than $1000 worth of vials if one is buying from outside US/Canada. Does anyone know of a site that will sell small quantities of vials to Europe?
