actually, if you were to smoke the equal amount of dmt by itself you would not get the same strong effects. ie the smoked MAOI allows more dmt to get to the brain even within those first 30 seconds.
I know and didn't dispute that. The effect you feel from smoked changa though has nothing to do with MAOI inhibition. Only the 8-24 hour aftereffects are due to the MAOI inhibition. The immediate effects felt when you smoke changa without DMT are a result of the beta-carboline psychedelics which happen to be the same chemicals with MAOI activity, like harmaline.
MAO inhibition leads to a gradual climb in brain levels of catecholamines, giving an antidepressant effect mostly.
MAOI and psychedelia are two separate aspects of the herb. You can't feel MAOI acutely.
