totally agree with you D-M on eating some food while or after you drink plus keeping the bottle of water always by the bedside, as just trying to scull litres doesn't rehydrate as well as contant flow.
Also I find not drinking really cheap wine's for me make a huge differennce. At work we have a monthly night were will get pissed on the house from work, but it's always cheap as shit chardonays or sparkling white but as its free I scull the shit down and always have a doubly worse hangover than when I drink a bottle of vodka during the day with food.
I think its got something to do with all the preservatives added as even when I drink cheap aussie wines I start sweating sour acid sweat and a mild reaction to it. Where as at home some standard vodka like absolut or russian standard, doesn't have to be fuckin grey goose or anything gets me nicely pissed with far less hangover the next day.
Or if I'm feeling rich some beautiful scottish single malts....hmmm single malt and a good spliff - can relieve the strain of modern day pressures....
