The Alcohol thread...

I have witnessed a lady who would sit in her chair and just urinate on a towel she would stuff between her legs as she is generally too drunk to walk to her toilet. She would then expect her carers to pick this up and rinse it out. Her house was filled with dog faeces as she would be unable to let the dogs out oftne enough. A man who's lino your shoes would stick to due to the urine on it as he would keep a bucket next to his bed and the lounge rather than walk to the toilet. His aim was not great. The experiences go on and on. To be offered a seat which is covered in dried vomit and human faeces is common.

fucking disgusting. how can people live like that??? seriously... urgh

Even though I mentioned in my previous post how I know alchos are looked down on by druggies, I'm really saddened and disappointed in the views of you two.

If you grew up around the people like I have and who had been effected by alcohol(best friends,my father etc) you'd see my point but unfortunately you can't understand why i am so judgmental about alco's. Quite sadly i have no time for drunks and that will always be my view as i have had way 2 many bad encounters/interactions/experiences to even want to touch alcohol. Quite honestly feel free to kill your liver and get away with taxing the drug the government doesn't give a shit about same with ciggs...and neither could I....so i can say im disappointed in you being disappointed in me :) Either way freedom of opinion ;)

I am not a fan of alcoholics, but it's your choice, but quite frankly I have been hurt by one to many of them, trying to take advantage of me or treating me like I am a piece of shit. But hey we all have a Drug of choice and guess your life.

Thankyou for your considered post, popeyes mate. Anyone who wont take responsibility for their own life gives me the shits badly. I know that there are some absolute fucktards of alchos, I was commenting more on the apparent generalising of all alchos, so thanks for clarifying your postion :)

Fieldy, my views on this matter were not formed through naivety or lack of seeing the detrimental effects alcohol can have on one's life. It's a pity that you can't see past your own experiences when forming an opinion. Sounds like you have fair reason to consider alcohol a dangerous drug, as it is, but tarring everyone with the same brush seems counter-productive.

*raises beer* cheers ;)

^ mate dont get me wrong ill have a beer or a bourbon on the odd occasion but i steer clear from booze, it seems you cant handle other peoples opinion without somewhat attacking them which is not why we are all here.....either way it seems to me you get quite offended by my opinion....which is an opinion...someone is a little touchy tonight are they not ;-) So please don't banter and make me sound like the new guy when i am clearly stating my freedom of opinion. Remember PLUR Foots!

Sorry fieldy but I'm with footscrazy 100% on this one..

And I don't see how you think she's attackin you :/

At the end Of the day, you can't generalize addicts (in this case, alcoholics) in the way you are just because of a couple of negative, personal experiences...

Yeah i did and i dont regret it, personal experience is enough to make me steer clear of alcoholics :) so please dont all gang bash me for stating my own personal opinion.

Sorry My Blonde for stating my expression of interest in the topic. Either way Free speech is what is important, so i apologize if i have offended anyone

^ Don't worry, I'm not saying you can't express your opinion; of course you can! I just thought it was funny that you had someone to apologize to you for express their opinion in another thread. We are all allowed to express our opinions on here, after all. :)

^ sorry man, its hard going from smoking weed for 11 years daily to being sober.....its only been 3 days but its a start of a new beginning :)

Can anyone reccomend a good beer that isn't too expensive? I am trying to cut down on my drinking a bit but I am really not into beer, been thinking it might be a good way to atleast slow down the rate I drink at though. Preferably one of them clearer ones, I think they call them pilsner or something?

^ Boag's Classic Blonde all the way, low carb beer with good taste, unlike that pure blonde shite. It's not a discount beer, but it isn't expensive either.

So alcohol hangovers leave me feeling less anxious, more motivated and a generally better outlook on life. Does any one else get this?

^ Do you find getting drunk again when you're hungover feels heaps shitter than getting drunk from baseline? I do, it feels like when I'm hungover and drink again I skip the 'euphoric', energetic talkative side and go straight to feeling pissed and tired and slow.

Yeah if I get that bad it's not so nice but usually because of the headache and leg pain. That shitty feeling is so nice for me, I feel like shitty and slightly unwell but it helps me so much, considering I can barely function sober anymore due to depression etc.

It's a lot harder to start drinking and I won't be as energetic but it's usually just as good once I push through.
