Just A Guy
Bluelight Crew
I was up! Just got back from work, in fact. 11pm - 7:30am shift! But now I'm going to bed. G'night.
I feel similarly. I'm at a really nice coffee shop that sells cigars and various forms of ethanol. It has some awesome artwork! Drinking a raspberry mocha with some friends. I eat fairly well and do my best to get a balanced variety. Love vegetables and fruit. Always have.Veganism is a strange religion to me.
All I know is I wouldnt appreciate being caged my whole life and have the products of my body, and ultimately my life extracted for profit.
I would really like to use dissos for more theraputic purposes, including metaprogramming. My issue is that once I get going, I can't hold back from getting hedonistic with it. I have a few times accidentally gotten into the state of flying a spaceship through the lattice of my personality / layers of assumptions / reflexes etc. I could connect physical structures in that space to aspects of my psyche and imagine "surgery" that I could connect to having a different mindset about something. Funny thing, this happened only a few weeks ago but I'll be damned if I can remember the specific neurosis I was working on. Felt so significant at the time though.
I think with more intention and planning I would be able to apply it more effectively with a lasting effect. I think. I also think "easy come, easy go" and that doing the same kind of work via meditation and mindfulness would be even more powerful.
been doing this parasite cleanse thing. had some weird crap come out of me but i put on hold momentarily to get something stronger. meanwhile, i was getting sick from die off and could feel something wiggling around in me. think ive got worms. gonna plug some essential oils pretty soon and its going to be epic. im hoping to get a few hundred little fuggers out of me. highly recommend. will give deetz upon request and pics once i get results.
im guessing cream gravy= 240s?
missed yall. quit doing PDs and was sober for a while actually threw out a bunch of doses i had, criminal as it may seem. been drinking, smoking and kratoming cuz holidays was actually sober for while last year and the holidaze fd it up. gonna get back on the straight and narrow pretty soon.
turning 33 on christmas. still looking good and damn young.
missed yall be well. prob going back on BL hiatus shortly just saying wassup.
my other loves were clones of me...like dating myself.
I thought opposites attrtacted but might just be one way. Gosj wish i could just sleep but it will be hard to crawl into bed knowing i prolly wont do it ever again. I thought for sure that C takimg me back meant it was meant to be but clearly im clueless. Maybe ill eat some krartom and just not give a damn.
Damn. I woke up at 1:30pm yesterday morning, but partied all night and went to bed at somewhere past 6am.
Good morning swirly willow... afternoon for me. I was up 6 and a half hours ago, sleepyhead.
I see. Time runs differently there.
I like saying ghb as a word. Gub with the U sound like pudding.
Rolling Rock > PBR imo
But PBR is still pretty dank.
Yuenling is awesome. I consider that the next level above the cheap beer we're talking about though.
I'm a PBR guy when it comes to cheap beer. Fortunately for me the gas station down the street does $4 six packs (sorry for the price discussion) of good beer. Lately they've had this Belgian Trippel called Steen Brugge that's 8.7%
But today when I came in they had all these nice local micro brews, IPAs and ESBs and LMNOPs, so I splurged and bought almost every nice beer they had in the cheap beer bin and it was all amazing beer and cost me around $10.
Woot woot for beer city USA.
Anyone here in PD try HexEn?
I'm not much of stimulant guy but the comparisons to cocaine make me interested.
The only other drug from that class that I have tried is MDPV which was ok but not as euphoric as amphetamines and a lot more fiendy. It did make for some great masturbation marathons, but most stimulants do that to me.
You're not the only one with that theory. Diabetes is rampant in Canada's (and probably USA's) first nations, and a pretty good theory as to why is that it's because these populations have gone from eating basically a meat (or something like "paleo") diet to eating all kinds of garbage like sodas, white bread, high carbs. I heard about some studies where some diabetic first nations switched to a more heavy meat diet, and had very good results with reducing the rate of diabetes.
I basically eat vegetarian myself, no land meats, just the occasional fish, but I'm not preacher about this diet. It works really well for me, and I think if you can do it, it's one of the best things you could do for the planet, but it just doesn't work for everybody.
Chicken is a really good choice because it's low impact in terms of carbon emissions, and land-use, and it's very economical. Besides that it's the closest we have to dinosaur meat! Rabbit is supposed to be good too, but maybe a bit more exotic to most people.
Nothing wrong with eating chicken, especially if that animal was raised, cared for and slaughtered in a humane way. It's way better to eat a bit of chicken and be happy and healthy than to be miserable with a diet that your body isn't suited too (yet?).
[ .... carbon footprint stuff .... ]
I'm vegan though my new years resolution is to start eating some dairy and eggs both of which I can procure from ethical livestock holders.
Tbh, I don't think vegan diet is sustainable. I can physically struggle to eat at the best of times and getting all nutrients is difficult with no animal faces.
I've adapted to the vegetarian diet of my roommate before in the past (i felt lighter). Maybe I'd manage if I could afford gourmet mushrooms etc on regular basis as substitute.
Veganism is a strange religion to me.
Which is the one also referred to as ALEPH 1? Always liked that epic name.
gosh-darnit, we even have the same neuroses,"
sorry guys. I waaas up. Never up that late but have had horrible insomnia and stress, due to recent legal issue I have now.I was up! Just got back from work, in fact. 11pm - 7:30am shift! But now I'm going to bed. G'night.
Rabbit is great, as is squirrel, raccoon, of course venison, all these other animals you can harvest yourself in the right season. And not feel bad about artificial inseminators or antibiotics or CO2 from cow-farts or whatever. People who are preoccupied with that need to get a .30-06 and a hunting license. It'll bring you closer to the Earth, too, really; even the Amerindians, who people so revere for being "in touch with nature," well, of course they hunted.
Yes, indeed. The vegan diet is artificial to mankind and promulgated by people who have a lot of disposable income and a lot of weird ideas.
I have a pronounced aversion to and difficulty signing on with any of this kind of talk, because (a) we as individuals aren't going to do anything; (b) the soi-disant "alternatives" that are "low-emission" or "low-whatever" are expensive boutique products marketed towards the bourgeoisie while (c) the whole programme of carbon balancing and what not ultimately is fucking over working people and pushing them into tenuous service sector jobs. Can't get with it. People will say, 10,000 year perspective; I say 10 year perspective, tanks in the streets, bodies up against the walls, lets get shit moving. It's the only way. Anything else is just a hipster lifestyle choice.
2C-T?
I had it. It was epic, if a bit troublesome; I'd venture to say the epicness was a placebo effect built up by all the hype.
My response likewise hiddenPost to SKL, hidden because its long, but of course, any readers read and say.

Well, "high-powered rifle," and so on, aren't very useful categories unless we get into the nitty gritty, I'm speaking in my mind about hunting deer (and also squirrels, etc.) with a .30-06 and a .22 bolt action rifle, respectively, although plenty of people will go with a smaller round for deer which just fine, but I want to take it down in one go (to the head, preferably IMO; although people disagree, to me it's good shooting practice, humane, and maximizes edible meat; Q but the scopes, etc. are unfair; A yes, but bow-and-arrow hunting is far more likely to leave a disfigured dear just trailing blood and suffering; squirrels, OTOH, are pretty much gone, so you have to select where you're placing your shot to have any meat at all ...) some people prefer 7.62/.308/AK47 round or the (underpowered IMO) 5.56/.223/AR15 round but yeah once you start getting into semiautomatic weapons maybe you're not really making it "fair" for the deer but OTOH if you're doing in strictly to support your family "fair to the deer" stops being of the utmost concern I guess; which gun I'd be hunting with I guess would depend on how many guns I'd theoretically have, not to speak of ammo ,which will in the zombie apocalypse be the real worryI have no issue with people hunting for food. I don't really care about something dying or not. Its likely to happen regardless.I believe that animals have a right to a certain quality of life, in the same manner that we do. For that reason, I don't take issue with hunting (though I think its pretty piss weak, shooting an unsuspecting creature from the safety of the ass-end of a high powered rifle) for food. Those who enjoy doing this for the kill can go fuck themselves entirely. We don't have much hunting in Victoria but we have a duck hunting season. People don't eat these ducks- I went to a protest some years back and the 'hunters' were just leaving their kills and the kills were often small birds, not fit for eating anyway. The guys doing this hunting were vicious and venemous as fuck to us protestors, threats of death- we had guns pointed at us. I'm utterly against humans slaughtering animals as an end in itself. I think people like that are useless pieces of shit. Up against the wall!
I've spent time in aboriginal communities in Australia and saw a bit of killing for food. Its the same as picking a tomato from a tree to me. But at least let the tomato think its growing happily until the last minute. Life is a brutal, harsh, unforgiving and godless mess, let us have our delusions for as long as we can.
You should avoid assuming all vegans are bourgeoise and affluent and touchy-feely hippies. I know it makes it easier to degrade these people but its pointless. Most vegans I know are normal people, not especially wealthy, from various social strata who have simply made a choice for their lifestyles. Seriously, it doesn't effect you anymore than your racism effects me, because the former is an individuals life and the latter is words on the internet. Working people are not getting fucked over by veganism. Working people and everyone except the filthy rich are being fucked over.
To restate my statement more cleanly, veganism is a very expensive lifestyle choice, it is unnatural, and it is usually associated with hippieish Weltanschauung (well, you didn't like French) ... it beats the hell out of my why people want to put more money on food that is not what their bodies are built to eat because of, I dunno, but if they want to, of course, more power to them, it doesn't hurt me ...
(I find your forays into French and the like kind of humorous to be honest [skim over them], you cannot get more fucking bourgeois than that :D If you are writing in defense of the working class, probably using English would be more effective, wouldn't it? Less exclusive anyway.)
I guess I'm almost as bad as the LeftistsNo, but really, I happen to be (less than fluent, admittedly, but communicative) in a couple different languages and beyond that know the proper words for some things that English doesn't really have, and I try to say what I mean; anyway, language is fluid, the English word for bourgeois is bourgeois. And especially if I'm typing on the Internet and people just basically right click and see a definition, well, whatever
so too with literary references, or whatever, The mind is it's own place, etc starts I think on like maybe line 223 of Paradise Lost (and the speaker is Satan), now it's arguable if this ever was a useful fact, but once we have Google, we can find this out easily enough, can't we? But that's part of the problem. Ideally, we'd all be using Google to become cultured and educated in all sorts of fields but just google Kim Kardashian's ass (I kind of favor Khloe, anyway) ... but we're not ... so, the education thing, the working class, in some ideal leftist way, would be using this to better themselves, but even if they do that, they're running up a hill that's fast increasing it's incline, and if they don't, they're just fucked. If the grid goes down at least I'll have some books to converse with in my mind.
A) as individuals, we are powerless. That's a bullshit system but is true. The fact is, most of the sleepy sheep think that and hence none of us believe we have power. If you don't believe you have power, you don't.They've won.
B) Maybe. I don't really know, I suspect you don't either. There is a large 'cash economy' for organic products that exists out of sight of many. You'd hate these people, as they are anarchists and love freedom, but that is where I can obtain products from. And far from being expensive, I get this for free. But you are right, due to capitalism, there will always be people that economically benefit from trends. A lot of the bullshit 'artisanl' products do more harm then good. Artisanal water for example! Fuck that. Good quality, organic vegetables that are grown by people who understand how reliant we are on this shitty planet is only good IMO. Its important for me to know that I am not one of the assholes that don't care and actively fuck up my world, and so I have been in discussion with a few local providers about their animal products which I plan to consume. I wish to get to self-sustainability and hole up whilst the great cities burn.
C) Working people are not being fucked over by the middle class anymore than at every other point in history. A ten year perspective is short sighted to the extreme. If we do nothing, every person will be fucked over. The working class and poor (of which you are absolutely not SKL) will be the first to endure immensie suffering when this global system collapses- and it will. Put your head in the slowly eroding sand, when you next look up you'll be swimming.
I'm not a capitalist. And no, I'm not working class either, but my values are, and, the way that the world works, I'm only my union representation (I'm a proud trade unionist; although, again, not working class; as a sign of the times, I have a much stronger union than most people in actual working class; although both of our unions are being strongly undermined by the State; but they are better on in the streets collective action basically because we gave up our right to strike a long time ago because we are necessary for life and safety etc) away from becoming not just working class but fuckoff poor. Immense suffering is going to happen when the global system collapses. Now, anyone who encourages individuals to go out and start blowing shit up (or whatever) to initiate this process is an idiot, and is probably going to get stuffed into a very uncomfortable hole somewhere where it's very uncomfortably warm while getting a very uncomfortable level of treatment judicial process. No thanks on that; in the event of a world collapse I'd probably stick to robbing people and dealing drugs, and not get involve with politics, that way they'd probably just shoot me instead of torture me.
w/r/t (B), yes, the artisnal shit is bullshit and so is everything you get at Whole foods, and what not; this underground economy for organic goods, I have a vague idea about this, but aren't these the same kinds of people who go dumpster diving and ground scoring their dinner for the most part anyway? and if not that, then how do they afford the upkeep of the cow, presumably, the humane upkeep of the cow, or whatever, that gives the milk or, everything you need to grow whatever vegan alternatives (because there's no way to do this profitably this without using GMOs), so, you go to these people, you establish yourself as heady enough by listening to enough hippie stuff, you do some farm chores or something, and they give you a ration of tempeh and cottage cheese or whatever?
no, I'm genuinely curious as to how that would really work. because I don't think it would. most consumers of all this organic produce and stuff are overeducated, privileged hipster types, I suspect that these people are just the same, only seeped a lot deeper into the counterculture, like, quelle horreur, the crust punks with ATM cards, hell, I dunno. I do love my Artisian still mineral water though, $2/L in glass bottles, it just tastes better and I enjoy it. probably tastes better 'cause it's not contaminated with whatever plastic shit.
also, how many of these people smoke? lol
and yes, I'm pretty sure I've met the American analogues to these folks and was pretty underimpressed.
In one sense, I agree that a mass genocide is probably needed. Or, more to the point, it is going to happen. The world cannot sustain the population it has. People being vegan aren't going to change that. People avoiding ignorance and polemic reactionary thinking might.
Again, you empower humanity, or at least people who are still close enough to day-to-day living reality of humanity to retain some of their own humanity, too much. Nothing any of us do is going to do a damn thing, and if we resort to terrorism or whatever, not only will it be ineffective, but just make things worse for everyone else. The collapse will come, let it; then take care of your own people with what skills you have.
Don't have a community of trust? Don't have a trade that will be of use in a postapocalyptic economy (medicine, various kinds of engineering, social engineering, propaganda, and espionage, prostitution, chemistry, drug dealing, ...) Aren't skilled in violence? Live around people that aren't like you? (←oops.) Be like the majority of our youth today?
You're in the shit.
Wasn't Hitler a vegetarian before he killed Blondie or whatever that bitches name was?
Yes, Hitler was an animal-lover and a vegetarian which has no relevance pro or con in the debate. He was a man who flirted with a lot of different ideas. This was one he stuck with.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_Guidestones#Inscriptions
Always liked this. Forget the peace and love bullshit, but the capping of human population is a good idea.
The Georgia Guidestones are absolutely fucking terrifying.
We don't need to impose birth control, or to kill people, or whatever, to cap the human population, it'll do it itself; those things are already going on and the world chaos we see today is the result of an age-unbalanced, overeducated, overnetworked, underemployed, and underdignified mass of people, and it's far only from being a Third World problem. It's just waiting for a spark. Before the modern era plagues and such had a role in equilibrium and also a profound role in the formation of human culture and civilization, as did territorial and other kinds of wars, and people also, by and large, believed in God, in hierarchy, and in some kind of authority rather than just "free speech, free stuff, and free love." That's the shit that got us here.
