It's funny, I did grow up there but I never once drank a PBR until I moved to the mountains of NC, where I found all sorts of people were drinking it.

I ended up buying 4 sheets of the plastic film (not the tape but the solid plastic, maybe 2mm thick or something, flexible but pretty rigid), and cutting them such that it fits precisely over the area. It actually looks amazing, you can only tell it's not the original if you look closely. It passed inspection, I don't think they even noticed. :) I'm all legal again!

yeah I actually tried to pass a few months ago and got the inspection for $10 off, and they said I couldn't get a tickewt, but I only had 30 days until that wasn't true, and 30 days before I had to pay full price for another inspection. I passed that date by months, so I had to pay again, but whatever.

Funny thing is, I have to get it renewed again in about 3 months. =D But I will do it on time then, the only reason I didn't last time was because I couldn't pass inspection and I thought I was going to have to replace the whole tail light unit which would have cost me $200 plus labor (and to change it on my car you have to remove the bumped and interior paneling, probably would have been charged a few hours of labor. And there was also a chance they couldn't replace it because the surrounding area was too dented/bent from the collision)

In other news, my girlfriend is coming home tomorrow!! I'm gonna pick her up at the airport around 10:45pm. So excited!

Haha! I thought PBR was a Chicago thing.

That's awesome you got car inspected! And you can pick up your girlfriend in a legal ride!! Haha

The last time I tried pbr it was like someone had spilled cheap beer in a greasy driveway and put it back in the can. My go-to cheap beer is yuengling.

Yuenling is awesome. I consider that the next level above the cheap beer we're talking about though.

I'm a PBR guy when it comes to cheap beer. Fortunately for me the gas station down the street does $4 six packs (sorry for the price discussion ;) ) of good beer. Lately they've had this Belgian Trippel called Steen Brugge that's 8.7%
But today when I came in they had all these nice local micro brews, IPAs and ESBs and LMNOPs, so I splurged and bought almost every nice beer they had in the cheap beer bin and it was all amazing beer and cost me around $10.
Woot woot for beer city USA.

The Netherlands, Belgium + Germany = beer goldmine =D

Was invited for dinner by a wacky elder British artist tonight, gonna bring them a bottle of cider I brewed myself.

Today had a student-for-a-day thing and now I have to choose whether to go for Web Development or Engineering Drawing as a study.. Tough choice.

Anyone here in PD try HexEn?
I'm not much of stimulant guy but the comparisons to cocaine make me interested.
The only other drug from that class that I have tried is MDPV which was ok but not as euphoric as amphetamines and a lot more fiendy. It did make for some great masturbation marathons, but most stimulants do that to me.

Last night my friend was trying to hint around at what music equipment I might want for Christmas, and I thought he was asking because he was going to get me something, and I was like, shit, I'm not trying to buy everyone I know presents! But then he came out and said that my girlfriend had texted him and asked him what she should get me. We haven't gotten each other presents for any occasions in the past, but this year she's coming with me to my family's Christmas (it's actually going to be her first time ever celebrating it) so she's getting me something, and my friend wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be a duplicate of something I already asked my family for (which is good because it would have been). I'm really glad he said something though because it informed me that I must do the same. I was trying to figure out what to get her last night, but this morning I just went on Amazon and checked out camping supplies and found a few things that should be perfect. :)

It's also her birthday on Friday, but she told me I'll be her best birthday present. I think I'll just take her out to the chocolate lounge or something (I'd say dinner, but we're gonna hang out with her friend that day).

I'm so pumped to see her, can't believe it's finally the day she gets back. Just gotta make it through the whole day now and drive an hour and a half to pick her up at the airport at around 11pm. At least I have band practice to fill up the hours from 6 to 9.

Rolling Rock > PBR imo
But PBR is still pretty dank.

Sir, we shall agree to disagree, yet remain gentlemanly in our interactions as befits men of character and class.

Yuenling is awesome. I consider that the next level above the cheap beer we're talking about though.

Yeah for sure, it is a step above. Nice beer, it's not one of my favorites but I will agree it's better than PBR.

Beer city USA, woot woot! I don't know why I always forget about the mix&match 6 packs over there.

Awesome, Xorky! Sounds like a plan for a lovely weekend. Sara's finishing up her last week of grad school stuffs, so pretty soon I'll finally get that second date. The time between asking her out and seeing her will officially have been longer than most of my relationships have lasted :X

I went to sleep and woke up on a normal human schedule today, so to celebrate I picked up some dank breppist from an awesome local cafe. Chicken verde omelette, homefries, sourdough toast, and a side of bacon... And I stopped by the gas station on my way back for an $0.89 Dr. Pepper icee. Dis don' be gud!

edit: aww, shucky ducky! They gave me an extra strip of bacon. Being a regular who tips for takeout orders has its perks. Everything's comin' up Milhouse!

Om nom nomygod foodgasm

I'm tempted to go back to the gas station for another icee. So good...

Pork makes me shit blood, no lie.. I have picture proof. So alas, I cannot dine on swine.. It's for the best. I also don't dine on cow meat because it can do that to me as well but not as easily. So I will eat beef from time to time, normally to not offend a host. Still though, cow is the human's spirit animal so it feels wrong more than bad for my health.

I've been vegetarian for the past four months, vegan for two, and I can honestly say I don't miss the almighty bacon whatsoever. It's strange how the meats I once loved do nothing for me now, and in fact the opposite at times.

Has anyone here ever tried going vegetarian or vegan? Not asking from atop a pedestal or anything, just genuinely interested in y'all's opinions and experiences.

I did it with semi success from Jan 2015 to present day. I failed each time because I was trying to hard to be on my diet which includes the removal of processed foods like enriched flour and refined sugar like high fructose corn syrup (basically any sugar that doesnt come directly from the bite of a fruit or vegetable.)

I would go Pescetarian and then rapidly drop off to vegetarian and while on my strict diet would ultimately fail with a handful of lame excuses and depression to follow. It didnt help that I was getting off of benzos at the same time that I was trying to be vegetarian or pescetarian. I think it was september of 2015 when I finally got off the benzos but increased my booze usage tenfold. So gained all of the weight I lost from the first half of the year back and then some! A change of career, one into a more hectic work place, while still recouping from benzo cessation led me to seek comfort in food like fast food, which I could convince myself was cheaper due to my hectic and erratic schedule.

Flash to the end of September this year, I was a total mess, with my eating habits, drinking and drugging.. Stepped on a scale, bought a bad sack of don't-wanna-mention it, and that was it, the following day I was back on the no processed food (abandoning sugar and enriched flour all together) quickly got off of the beef, which wasnt hard to do at all. I think I'm a vegetarian at heart, hell, maybe even vegan. The pork was no problem to cut because I rarely used it anyway. Soda was really the hardest, and adjusting my alc drinking. But great success so far. Only consume poultry (chicken or turkey) about once a week (oh and also sea food, but even more rare with that not that theres anything wrong with that for now) sometimes once only 2 weeks. I kinda forget to even go after having it so if it's my girlfriends turn to make dinner and she incorporates poultry I'll still dine on it with her.

Mainly I survive off of Spinach, bananas and apples these days with some hummus and cheese thrown into the mix as a snack and a bean based meal normally as my "big daily meal." Trying really hard to get off of the dairy, and have been cutting down. I just dont want to do too rapid of a taper because I refuse to fail this time. Already down 30 or more pounds.. I try not to weigh myself daily, which was something I did when I originally tried and I feel like it didnt help. Smooth sailing so far. I don't miss fast food, soda, shitty fake pasta and I've never really had a sweet tooth. So all cravings are gone. I sometimes feel like I still need a chicken dinner unfortunately but I will adjust in time and be down to vegetarian with vegan being the end goal.
