Haha ,
personally i love dancing, but to those who bag it, most of them i find only pay out on it because they cant dance and are jelous of those who can dance..i mean the shuffle is one of the best looking dance moves i have ever seen...although dancing should be about making yourself feel good and enjoying yourself, but thats just my 2 cents
 
i'm not really jeolous of a 'dance' that follows steps. Dancing comes from the heart and soul and requires no rules or steps

2 quick tips - its impossible to shuffle with bug-fuck-off heavy shoes. Im off to buy myself a new pair of runners when I have the kish

I might give the footing of the white sock video a go, and add it to my bouncing. I think dancing is an expression and if it feels right, do it!
 
i attempted the shuffle at TT.
managed to get the twisty foot thing but i'm too unco to make it flow into something cool.

so i just bounced around a bit.

moo to the wanky raver that said "you've got hours of practice ahead of you.
 
I taught my friend Jeremy to shuffle at TT. He's just discovered, at the age of 34, that he's a raver, and it gives him grief 'cause he's got a wonky knee when he tries to dance like one.

But he'll get there. It's not hard, it just takes practice.

Syntech, yeah, bah to wanky ravers and their shuffle snobbery. Go back next year and dance rings around the complacent little bastard ;)
 
i cant remember if i posted in this thread, but im a shuffler, im the one of the ppl jollercoaster met in sydney!

love the shuffle :D and its always funny when u shuffle in clubs where every1's still doing the aussie two step! you always get a few remarks!

hmmm...

Most good dancers will follow a basic style be that tap, ballet or shuffling. Just because people practice their dance steps it doesn't necessarily mean they haven't added their own personal touch. Wouldn't have thought you'd be so quick to judge DQ!
 
the basic step of a doofer is to create as much dust that nobody can see how crap u really are ;)

hey come on you know i'm not judgemental. I just feel that dancing (as tap, ballet, waltzing, shuffle etc) is still "danceing" but it's a kind of limited experience if you have to move to 'steps' True dancing doesn't require rules because it's when you actually let yourself go and let YOUR body do whatever it feels like to the beat of the music. You can not dance freely and for yourself if you don't get absorbed in the music and just go with it ie just letting it take you over. How can you do this if you have constant rules in your head that you have to follow and keep track of wether you do add your own little thing in it or not? It doesn't make sense to me 8(

"Dance like nobody's watching" as the saying goes is the whole point. "conformed" dancing is about how you look on the dancefloor because your doing it for a purpose knowing that people are watching. Where is the freedom there?

Hey i'm just passinate about this topic. I used to dance knowing everyone was looking and i didn't want to make a fool of myself so i tried to do what everyone else was doing. It's only since i discovered psytrance that i actually finally understood what real dancing was about and just how magic and freeing it actually is. Uphoric even :)

Backo...what would you know...you haven't even been to a doof because your too scared of getting your fancy shoes dirty :p
