There's nothing wrong with dancing like a dick! I think that's a common misconception - that the schuffelmeisters look down on people who don't shuffle. That probably has a lot to do with why people hate it.
But look. The shuffle itself is a
silly dance. It's fun as hell, it's an expression of joy and sometimes of solidarity, but it's a silly dance for all that. The people who are really good at it know this too... seen in that light, how can it be a sign of elitism?
Besides, you're six foot six, who's going to make fun of you?

[Also: on the subject of people judging others: every time you do *anything* where other people can see you, they will make an automatic judgement of whether you're good at it or not. Dancing, shuffling, table tennis, walking down the street. But it's a momentary thing, and it doesn't affect the way they think of you -
if they think of you at all . Complaining about that, as a way of explaining why you don't dance, is equivalent to saying that you shouldn't do anything outside the privacy of your own home. I don't buy it.]
