Shambles
Bluelight Crew
Roast chicken breast with cream cheese and breadcrumb topping, buttery mash, brocolli, fine beans and gravy. Yes, there were actual veggies involved. Shocked even myself but I just couldn't bring myself to have beans with it. Appears I'm a dab hand at boiling veggies cos were just the right side of crunchy. Veg water used to make gravy too. Tad too much salt overall but otherwise damn near perfect if I do say so myself. Same again tomorrow, will lay off the salt a bit. Although I must say I really do like this "posh" salt I've got in at the moment. Cornish sea salt. Quite pricey but infinitely tastier than table salt.
Cadbury's Creme Egg ice cream for pud in a bit. I seem to do much better at avoiding booze of an eve if I have some kinda pud in play. On balance, it's probably no worse for my waistline than the booze anyway and almost certainly healthier overall even if puds ain't the healthiest thing in the world. Well, ice cream certainly ain't. Seems those nice fruit pies and crumbles are no longer on offer or I'd've got one of those in. Think the fresh fruit pies are usually pretty cheap though so might have to investigate. They count as a vegetable. Although I heard a thing recently that pointed out that after several years' research there's been zero evidence found that "Five A Day" makes a blind bit of difference to anything. Apparently you'd need nearer 11-13 portions of fruit and veg a day to actually make a noticeable difference to health. Which seems a tad extreme. Surely even vegans and veggies would struggle to get quite that much fruit 'n' veg down 'em on a daily basis?!? 8(
