It was tongue in cheek. But I meant it was naive of me to think that.

I'm just used to being around cocky people. People are different. I don't even think about things like this or take it seriously. It doesn't do any real harm and I'm not a bastard like that in real life. Why don't you worry about yourself and how you relate to people.
 
It suits me quite well now that I'm good at it. It didn't suit me at first when I didn't have much of an ego. You just need a developed ego to get by in this world. Otherwise you will have problems with things like personality-projection and self-protection. And you can become more like a victim. You don't have a voice so you can't influence anyone. Humans only really respect good ego-projection. They can't relate to blissful unity-consciousness. I tried that at first and it didn't work.
 
What I don't like most about this is the idea of Gabriel losing his twin soul. I don't care what happened, I don't like that idea. When he said I was a brilliant light I didn't understand what he meant but I guess he compared me to that.

Yeah, but the people on this board who are telling you that (your many posts / threads about being an angel and a re-incarnation of various significant historical figures are egotistical) are humans... So maybe what you're doing is "bad" ego-projection (whatever the hell that means)?

You post a lot of stuff about yourself... More than anyone else on P&S, it seems... I don't really see anyone else here making threads about themselves, let alone making multiple threads about themselves in which they describe themselves as - essentially - heroes and Gods.

Being enlightened, in part, is accepting that you are "one" with the world.
You seem to expend a fair bit of energy convincing yourself otherwise.

I'm not so angelic now. I feel terrorised. My main concern is to be left in peace.

I don't think its been all that nice; that is, the recent comments towards you. They seem pedantic and pointless IMO. But, its not helpful to overstate or place too much emphasis on them. You needn't feel terrorised. People are just sceptical of this topic; try not to conflate scepticism with close-mindedness. There is a distinction. :)
 
Nina, I think you have a tendency to post stuff that you know will result in (relatively) negative responses so you can turn it around and play the victim... thereby re-enforcing the delusion that you're better than other people...

Maybe stop making threads were you describe yourself as an angel only to condemn anyone who disagrees with you as close-minded? You've had more open-minded responses here, than you would in real life. The people who've responded are hardly terrorists.

You don't seem to really want to have a discussion.
There's no room for discussion, anyway.

I think most people who talks to ninae about her angelic side is also a bit worried. its damaging for her to think that way. its wrong in so many ways that its fine if people doesn't accept her interpretation and fantasy about who and what she is.

Its only the ego struggling to define itself, trying to reinforce itself. There no doubt that we, ourself, are only a idea. a mental formation. there's no me, no I. We don't own the self as there no such reality of a self: only consciousness. no one owning the thoughts we have, no one owning sense contact. yet we believe there is a owner and so we struggle to find a self and try to support it anyway we can. truth is, there no self, no owner, no entity and as long as we believe in the self, we create tremendous amount of stress.

take 7g of shrooms and come back with how angelic you are. we all also have serious demons inside and to think she is a angel is nothing else but a ego support. there no reality to it.

Are all people are equal? Is the astrophysicist with a 180 IQ is equal to a grifter or the town drunk with an 90 or 100 IQ? Is the generous philanthropist or a Mother Theresa the same as a well-fare scammer, child molestor, or inbred trailer trash? Some people devote their lives to making life better for others and others are parasites.

I agree with the thing about humility. Somebody who is gifted and realizes s/he is superior to others in some ways could have an over-inflated ego, and they need to learn to deal with it. If not, they end up being a dickhead that everybody hates. Everyone should be humble, especially if they really are superior to most of the rest of humanity.

I don't feel terrorised by this place. I meant by life in general. I've almost died of stress too many times in the past few years, and to make it even worse everyone thinks it's a good idea to stress me as much as possible so I never get any peace. The hospital admissions have also been a real strain.

I'm not sure if people are aware I have regular manic episodes and when I do I just want to share everything with everyone and think they will find anything I have to say interesting. Even though they don't, but at least it tends to be entertaining, and that's the main thing of this board. I actually forget most of what I say as I also tend to write stuff like that when I have spiritual peak experiences and your brain doesn't store it too well. Anyway, most are more than used to me by now.

But I think everyone are taking this thread far too seriously. It's not like I was expecting people to believe in it just like that. I just thought it was intersting when I read it through again, that was a few years ago now.

Of course not but they don't pretend to be something they are not. Actually, the greatest minds I 've heard of, don't play superior to make their point any more valid. You don't know how is my IQ and it does not matter. What matters is IMO respecting other points of views. You can't just say this is better because my spiritual guy is telling it is, that is ridiculous.
