WARNING: this is one long-ass post, either humor me or skip ahead.
So getting to the party was an adventure and a half. Friday night I go to the mall to get tix... the Ticketmaster machine is broken. I go an hour away to get tix... get home late at night... my girl announces she can't go after all!!!! So I talk my girl Amy into going... 12:30am Saturday she calls saying "umm... I can't go after all." GREAT. Luckily, at 3am the cell rings again, my boy Jay's friends all bailed too so we rode up together. I definitely had about 2 hours sleep before a 4 hour drive to Western CT, leaving at 6:30am. Werd. 8) As Lauren said, it was near impossible to get everyone together to leave for the party, apparantly we're not too good at being "morning people" and getting to places on time. There's a shock. Oh, and for the record guys: the car thing stays between us.
1pm we finally get our sorry asses to Randall's Island, too bad it's RAINING. Now while I may be the first to admit I was absolutely livid all day and night that, while the rest of us knew weeks ago it was probably gonna rain, SOE somehow didnt get that newsflash and put the main stage under a fawking tent. That was bullshit. They had so few people show up though... if you feel vengeful, just imagine how much $$$$ SOE lost throwing this party. ALOT. We're talking massive amounts here. No people, tons of big-name big-pricetag DJs, and the most expensive ones of all to book barely got to spin, if at all. I'm amazed there wasn't a massive SOE suicide during or after the party.
The music WAS great though, for the most part. I stuck mainly to the House/Techno tent, and it blew my mind all day. Heather Heart now has my heart, lol; Frankie Bones opened w/ Beastie Boys, 'nuff said :D ; Doc Martin kicked my ass, as did Marco Carolla (yeah Kev and Teddy, keep screaming "I love techno"... I've never seen either of you before in my life!

)... Glaude, Feelgood, Sanchez, etc also rocked my world.

During my ventures to the DNB tent, I was a big fan of Odi's set ("Thugged Out Bitch" hellz yeah! lol), and would've loved Ed Rush more if I wasn't so goddamn tired, cold, sore, and waiting to round everyone up and leave by the time he went on. He spun a great set though. I'm also still pissed I missed J-Majik AGAIN, but I honestly would not have lasted until his set that night. Ah well, despite the physical pain and the mud, it was worth it because I got to dance my ass off for hours to some amazing DJs, with some amazing people. I cannot say enough about the people. I absolutely love you all, thanks for making the weekend so memorable.

We need to get together again alot more often... who says we need a party for an excuse to see each other?
Now for the personal notes:
PartEKidRepsAcosta/RudeBwoyJunglist: mad props for the use of the crib, hon. I had so much fun, and it better not be another 3 months before we chill again!
MrJaMaL: it was great to see you dancing, and tossing around dave and connell again, too. :D it had been way too long since I'd seen that! oh and thanks for the diet pepsi. 8) it disappeared fast.
TopRocka: mah big bwutha, thanks for all the hugs, even if you did spend too much time in the beer garden! I'll babysit you better next time, I promise.

I repeat... it WILL NOT be another 3 months before I see you again either!
Icey: hellz yeah for the stringing, I was impressed. also, once again I proved that me and the $1000 work of art are a bad combination.

weeeeee! you better be coming up to boston again soon.
THeRaVeToY: it was so great to actually hang out with you and talk, I had alot of fun. *shakes head* silly silly boys. never seen 'em before in my life, I swear! Oh, and my friend's name was Jay, and he's gonna spin soon at our friend's Sunday night weekly in Hartford. He loves all you guys by the way, lol. I fear he may become a BLer eventually.
KayDUB: you and your obsession with female djs. and techno. oh my.
Coldshot: where the hell were you all day?!?!??!! you too, I must chill with again sooner than later.
SpeekahPhreakah: you know you're glad you went. thank god for house, techno, and threats of bodily harm from me and Lauren. "did I say that out loud?" :D
Maui2k: "you are a needle in a fucking haystack!" goddamn it hurt SO much to laugh at that point in the night! and yes, Stamford kids are chill. point proven.
LittleVee3, Pasha177: its about time you became BLers

as usual, too much fun chillin w/ you both and we need to get together again SOON! much luv to mah girls...
Glowworm: adventures in driving. never-again-discussed adventures in driving.
Ms.Red and GoingStraaange: lovely to see you again Sarah, and to finally meet you Joey! I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again soon.
Bi Kand*E*Raver: you're such a sweetie! glad we finally met, hopefully we'll get to party again soon.
Web: I didn't mean to run! lol... you're not ugly dammit, but you WERE a stranger chasing me across a muddy field, whaddaya expect? hehehe you're wicked nice, sorry I wasn't more with it at the afterparty but I was beyond tired and kinda in my own little world as a result. Hopefully I'll get to party with you, Batty and Capt.Howdy again in the near future!
Sugafist: glad I can finally put a face to the name.

hopefully next time we'll stop dancing long enough to say more than "hi, i'm ___" hehehe. but in the house/techno tent, dancing was clearly a priority for almost everyone!
The Welcome Matt, xtcvitality: yea! i (almost) always love meeting more BLers... hopefully I'll see you both again soon!
jerzeezfinest: dammit I should've known you'd be with lara, I saw her walking by me with *i'm pretty sure* you at one point but figured I'd see her again later and kept dancing
To anyone I missed... Well it's incredibly late, I had to work all night after driving home from CT this afternoon (my manager called me while I was driving home from CT, yeah tonight was fun, grrr)... I promise you'll be added soon, and if not, well you know I love y'all anyways.
Peace ~Katie
