and for the record, the comments i made weren't just directed at scaryraver. they were directed at everyone who gave up on the party from the get-go, due to a little bit of water and some chilly weather. it's the risk you take goin to an outdoor party in october *shrug*

Sup y'all. Although I didn't hit up Boo for family/boycot reasons but I could still feel the vibes coming from NYC. I did make it to the afterparty and, I must say it was off the hook. Good people, lots of familiar faces, good MUSIC, and the nos gas had me fallin on mah ass more than it ever has. (sorry to the guy i fell on if he's reading) Anyways I'm Pat livin in boston to those who i met and made plans with (sorry i suck with names and i was DRUNK) so hit me up we'll goto avalon.. can't wait for the next few weeks ;) [email protected] peace

Well I came from Indiana and Im all about DnB so I was in the DnB tent the whole time. From my point of view I saw some amazeing talent that made my pumas smoke. Wow. The rain did ruin everything. Thats why if I were a promotor I would never throw a massive outside, rain is something you don't have any control over and locals that don't buy your pre-sale scandal tickets don't show so you'll don't have the money for djs. I totaly understand but I give some mad fuck'n props for paying all the Junglists. NY is pretty dope. Rain sucks
 
Well...I finally got to a computer 3 days after Boo. Im not gonna sit here and bitch and moan, but the party overall sucked in my opinion. I'm just very happy the house tent was SLAMMIN all day long. The fact that there was no main tent should have dropped our ticket prices about 15 bucks or so. Dont ya think??? Marco Carolla was def my fav set of the party. I could never forget it with Teddy and Kev screaming "Viva la Techno!!!". heh. Also i just so happened to catch Odi at 2 and his set was off the hook!!!
I gotta say though, i thought the vibe (outside my friends) was pretty damn shady. I say soooo many arrests and shady shit goin on. Our group knows how to party, but it just sux to watch other kids get carried out cause they are SHADY!!!
As for shoutouts...there are soooo many...
Teddy: Thanks for giving me a ride to the party, i still say to this day you are def one of the chillest doods ive met so far. You always help make the party worthwhile.
Paul: The host with the most. Thanks for that siiiick afterparty. You guys know how to kick it. An dont worry the bubbler WILL be back!!!
Jamal: Always fun partying wit ya, probably see ya again soon at Avalon or the Asylum or something. Once again, you are also one of the chillest (aight that goes for everyone on this list!!...heh)
Katie: Good to see ya again. I will probably be in boston really soon, so we will be chillin again hopefully soon. I'll let ya know :)
Web: I got worried, i was sitting in the car telling teddy how i didnt see ya...then jamal came and said you were coming back with us!!! It was great to chill wit ya again...can't wait till next time. All your friends were mad chill to...hopefully they can come around again too!!

Well this is all i can think of for now...but i might be here editing and putting more peeps in i forgot. Well one thing is for sure, this was my LAST SOE party ever, no if ands or buts. They always seem to fuck something up badly and i no longer want anything to do with it. Im not bitching, im just saying. Hope everyone else had a decent time and was safe. PEACE!!! :)

Well Boo 7 was definately not what boo 6 was, anyone who went there can tell u that alone, so i wont. Tho i did get to see some wicked sets, such as marco carola, donald glaude, empress *what a hottie owwww!!* Orion, and tho he has too much hype, the diesel was impressive as usual. One thing i do regret about the whole party is...not bringing an extra pair of shoes! that sucked the next day, tho some kid in timesquare decided to dust them off for me at 3am eeek. You east coast kids really remind us *midwest kids* what partying is alllll about. You people are ALIVE! if your confused, im from ohio...totally different story out here. So im sitting here deciding where i want to move to on the east coast once again lol. fuckabunchofohio is all ill say... enjoy
Jamal - good to FINALLY meet you, id heard christina blab on and on about you, you were definately cool yourself. Hopefully ill catch up with you again.

I only went to this party because I felt it was my duty to not let the people that were in my car down. Otherwise, I was dead set on selling my ticket at the gate for 40-50 bucks and returning back to CT.
I just didn't feel like partying out in the rain and the cold because I was already sick to begin with.
After receiving threats (from two quite lovely ladies)which sadly didn't involve latex, leather, whips, gag balls and spikes... I deduced it'd be a rather terrible idea to do so.
So, umm, thanx Katie and Lauren! I am now sicker!
YAY!!
AH... the House/Techno tent was where I was able to have some (if any)fun.
I felt as if I connected with Heather Heart. (Dreamy sigh) She kept looking at me and smiling and winking during her set. When she walked off the stage, she walked up to me and gave me a hug.
I never heard of this guy b4 but Doc Martin played my kind of groovy disco house and seamlessly threw in 4/4 and 2/4 garage elements. (JF, you would've really appreciated this set.)
Then after Doc Martin's grooviness came MARCO COROLA WOW!!! Almost like Misstress Barbara, this guy does Techno FOR REAL!!! In fact, I'd be bold enough to say that this gentleman is almost on par with the Misstress herself. As his set progressed, it got darker and deeper and minimal. It was pure audible perfection. Gosh, can you imagine a tag team with him and Miss B??
Sadly afterward, the music in the House/Techno tent went downhill in my humble opinion. Donald Glaude didn't impress me at all. Feelgood either for that matter.
Earlier, I did a mudslide (literally) over to the Dips (ahem) I mean DnB tent. Odi was incredible!! I had SO much fun during his set. I like how he mixed "thugged out bitch" with "so hot" lol.
Much to my surprise, I held out like a champ until about 8:20pm when it seemed every bone in my body ached from standing for hours on end in the bitter cold. It was here that I announced to those around me that I was gonna swim across the "swamps of sadness" to sit in my car and wait for everone else.
If anything, this party was worth it only because of the AWESOME people I met up with from this message board we call Bluelight.
It'd be remiss not to mention these special people who to me, are a ray of sunshine, even on the cloudiest day...
SkippE: and crew from Ohio: Damn, it was great to see your friendly smiling face again. I wish, I wish, you guys coulda came back to the awesome after party at Paul's with us...

I had a good time at Boo, but I think alot of it was due to the fact that I wasn't covered in mud up to my knees. I was still cold and wet for most of the time, but I knew it was going to be like that so I can't complain.
I guess I was one of the only people from here to be in the progressive/trance tent most of the time, so I'll give my description of that area. I got there about halfway through DJ Irene's set, which was good, but since I just got there I wasn't really into anything yet. DJ Funk came on next which made me think I was in the House tent so I wandered around a bit and ran into BKR and Web. I talked for a minute with them, but not wanting to get too soaked I headed back to DJ Funk to listen to the same set I heard when I first saw him almost two years ago. And to watch BKR shake her ass n titties :) .
I'm not sure who came on next, but it was a hard trance sounding set (I think), but it was only for about 30 minutes, and the Bam Bam came on. He was ok, nothing special for me. Then I think it was Dave Ralph who seemed to play forever so someone else may have played during this time too--Scott Henry maybe? It was some good trance/tech-house stuff, not my favorite but still good.
Then the main stage headliners came on, first BT. He seemed to play a bunch of trance and breaks, I think he was ok, but really needs to work on his DJ skills. There were more mistakes in his set than I've heard in all the DJ sets I've listened to in the last 6 months, and for me to notice you really have to screw up. Then the Crystal Method came on and played pretty much a whole breakbeat set. I don't like breakbeats so I can't say whether it was a good set or not.
Overall the music was alright, I really didn't want to see any of the main stage acts, but ended up seeing four of them which took slots from people I did want to see, so that was kind of disappointing. But whatever the music was lacking was made up for by the people I was with and met there.
Since I parked myself in the trance tent I didn't see most of the BL people, but it was great seeing the ones I did.

It was also good seeing Web and KayDUB again. And I think PLURMonster was the only new person I met, nice to meet you.
So overall it was a good party, sure it could have been better, but all that matters at the end of the day is that I had fun.
