NO! It's very right. Sweetcorn is gross on everything, it's only acceptable to eat it fresh from the cob with butter.
Sweetcorn in stuff like sandwiches and pizza (especially the tinned stuff), is wretched, unless it's the non syrup, no added salt kind ... and even that's still essentially shameful food, unless you're starving.
frozen is equally as bad
i used to grow my own sweetcorn, along with courgettes, pears (bastard to get right) propagated wild strawberries and peas - in my moms back garden. dont like courgettes myself, but the rest were so superior to store bought its like night and day. but the sweetcorn was by far the most fun. grows unbelievably fast, and watching the cobs form was cool as fuck. when i finally cropped them, they went from plant to pot to plate in less than ten minutes. once youve experienced that, the tinned stuff is never the same again (though i still eat it)
im pretty happy now, woke up this morning insanely hungry, normally can deal with it but had no bread or even coffee in the flat. literally fuck all, mainly as a result of a fuckhuge phonebill, rent and a paucity of work post-xmas. havent really eaten properly for weeks now, opting for heat/phone over food, so though before about an hour ago i had only had literally no food whatsoever for two days - prior to that i had been getting by on a pack of instant. noodles or couple pieces of toast a day... for about two weeks. made my last pack of noodles last night but had taken benzos and ended up falling asleep only having had a couple mouth fulls (twas too hot initially)
been slamming stims for a few days, and i think that covered up the effect. when i went out this morning to take someone up on an offer of beans, bread and coffee - as soon as i got outside i started feeling sick, lightheaded and weak, by the time i got to the kind person's place - i almost blacked out three times, headrushes galore. blood pressure was probably quite dangerously low at that point
got ordered to sit still and had beans on toast made for me and forced to drink water. whether dehydrated or starving, it worked. and about 45mins later i felt pretty good again
its cool now though, have enough bread and beans for two or three meals and am awaiting a cheque to clear, with any luck - tomorrow. all i need is porridge oats and squash, maybe some bread - n i'll be happy as a pig in the proverbial
