Pizza in this instance wasn't bad, was only cooked the night before and bought the same day (on offer, not in the short-dated bin). Was just a bit manky cos it was just a bit manky is all. Manky as standard as opposed to extra-manky cos mouldy.

Hangover brekky today: BLT with the 'B' part being that applewood smoked bacon I mentioned up there. Quite tasty so it is. Also half price at the moment. And have become rather addicted to salady-sarnies. This is perhaps a better class of addiction than most prior ones :)

Got that bolognesey saucey stuff for dins tonight (and tomorrow and...). Was all I could do to avoid nomming it last night cos it smells bloody gorgeous. No pix anytime soon though. Partly cos although what I cook does tend to taste rather nice (if I do say so myself) it doesn't necessarily look anything special. Certainly not up to your standards of foodpr0n anyway. Not that that really matters, main thing is just not being able to upload pix from my phone to anything else. And just to head off any potential torrent of tips on doing such, I've had all the tips a boy could wish for and it just ain't happening. Got a feeling it's summat to do with setting the phone up properly so the pooter can see it... then again it usually says it can see it but they don't appear to talk all the same. At least not for me...

Bolognesey sauce had for dins with some rather expensive pasta (which I bought cheap on offer, obviously) and lived up to expectations. Really very tasty indeed. Although the carrots are perhaps a bit crunchy which is possibly a bonus for some but I think they'll be better cooked a bit longer. A very handy thing about big pots of stuffs in gravy of some description being that they really do get better for being a few days old. Matured, maybe.

Y'know I was just craving a bit o' pud. You may've just tipped me over the edge. Knock. I might just have to send you the bill for having to have trousers let out too :D

Actually, pud would either be apple pie 'n' custard or almond cake 'n' custard - former ain't really all that unhealthy or waist-expanding, latter perhaps a tad waist-expanding but lawdy is almond cake lushy <3

Sorry 'bout your breeks Shammy but that choc custard and ice cream is lushy <3

Specially as the ice cream melts into the brown love mud.

Almond cake sounds pretty damn nice too.

Now having toast and olive oil.

Must admit I rather fancy this custard 'n' ice cream combo of yours, Knock. Gonna have to give that a go sometime. Can't really fail to be anything short of yum can it :D

Decided on apple pie cos I could do with the freezer space. Almond cake can wait for next time. Countdown to pud o'clock... 'bout half an hour to go. Takes surprisingly long time to bake apple pie from frozen. But - despite being but Aunt Bessie's rather than homemade - she does make a fine pie (especially when on offer ferra quid as they have been of late) and it does mean you get the best part of an hour with the flat filling with apple pie waftings <3

Apple pie was damn fine pud last night. Particularly pleased with the custard cos I tend to make a subpar custard cos don't do it very often but this one was a belter. Admittedly only Bird's but I've always found it much trickier than you'd expect to get it juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust right. More apple pie pud for tonight and tomorrow too. Bloody good value for a quid 8o

Recently munched a mustardy ham salad sandwich. Have become very partial to my salady sandwich luncheons of late. Only problem being that they tend to fall apart. Need to experiment to find optimal breadstuff. Tiger bread that I've had this week just ain't up to it - doesn't enclose and retain properly so end up with bits of tomato and assorted leaves scattered hither and yon :!

One word - rolls.

My sandwiches don't get much more packed than a bit of cheese and pickle or quorn and mustard. But rolls can go on for miles!

The other option is the club sandwich, Although you need to be slightly hungrier.

Rolls are indeed the obvious solution to my bread-based woes, Knock. There's not much point having salad in sandwich unless you put a decent amount in but that makes for mucho volume - and all consisting of individual bit 'n' pieces which tend to disassociate themselves from each other the moment said sarnie comes within noshing range. I went with multiseed petit pains today cos were on offer and are really rather tasty - especially when heated in t'oven a bit so they warm through and crisp the crust. Yum <3

Speaking of which, lunch consisted of aforementioned warmed breadstuffs stuffed with BLS filling. Which is remarkably like BLT only with a greater leaf variety involved.

Pud was worth a mention due to lushiness. Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream... but it's the ice cream that was extralushy. Creme Brulee Haagen Dazs. Half price, obviously. I don't even particularly like creme brulee but it seems it's scrummy in ice cream form. There's also a chocolate fondant one which I recall being rather disappointing, but after creme brulee revelation I may just have to resample to double check it's not as good. Only seems fair really. And the I will probably have to compare and contrast with the Co-Op own brand version they're selling alongside it. Equal opportunities for all ice cream, sez I.

Main feature of dins tonight was lemon and pepper 'flour dusted' yellow fin sole. Not had sole before I don't think. Not sure I'll rush to buy it again. Tasted fine - quite nice actually, slighlty sweet like cod - but not different enough to other white fish for me to get that excited about. Especially as they're a bit teeny compared to a meatier fish. Kinda like my feelings towards plaice - taste good but not much there to taste.

Thai curry (Panang with salad).

NSFW for size ? (not worth the bandwidth)

Blimey that pic takes a long time to load, Bear 8o

I got about 3/4 through loading - just enough to see that it looks damnably tasty. But very slow to load indeedy 8o

Pud tonight consisted of fudge cake with previously mentioned Chocolate Fondant Haagen Dazs. It's definitely not the bestest Haagen Dazs flavour but perhaps not as disappointing as previously thought. May just have to try it again tomorrow to confirm this though...

Shambles - Dan said that the other day with my holiday photos. Not sure what I've done- or whats changed but NSFW'd it (really not worth the bandwidth). Was mighty tasty though :D

I'm celebrating! Sirloin steak in pepper sauce with rosemary potatoes, Mediterranean veg, mushrooms and tomato. For pudding a custard slice and a cream and raspberry slice. Some nuts for nibbles.

Nibbling on nuts I hear? Your not allowed to say celebrating - without explaining reason (its internet law !)
