Your favourite obscure film (that nobody else has even seen)

My son plays this movie over and over and over, and it is so silly. And I usually dig martial arts movies.

Only one I can think of would be Boondock Saints. This is such an awesome movie.

Big fan of labrynth and dark crystal too, those and neverending story are classics I have forced on my kids. I am just a little over their choices of barney or harry potter. As great as the harry potter movie is, I am so damn sick of it.

ok, few more remembered. donnie darko, equilibrium. I just watched one i enjoyed a lot that most may haven't seen, brotherhood of the wolf. IIRC it was french, subtitled. Great flick.

Vulgar
Created, directed by, and starring Kevin Smith
It's a terrible, terrible movie that every Kevin Smith fan should watch one time, but if you willingly watch it more than once you're just sick

i also agree :)

has anyone seen le mepris/contempt. it's amazing. french, 1963.

^ Re: Le Mepris -- yes! Aaaahhh Brigitte Bardot .... I'm dying to see Godard's new film (Notre Musique). :)

the japanese version of the ring:
Juon and Juon 2 (i hope i spelt it right). Theres one memorable scene in this movie for me. Theres this old lady whos seem really traumatised and shes virtually a vegetable. My mate just says, 'Shes so lucky, shes so stoned'.

Also all the chinese movies staring jackie chan and jet li. The jackie chan movies had great action and great comedy. While the jet li movies had awesome action without without any of modern day technology (no guns etc) which for me is my style of action.

yay!

and notre musique is back to his amazing best. very political of course, but not didactic. and some really wonderful tracking shots.

^ Le Mepris is an older film; it's "Contempt" in English. Try looking for it in the foreign section of the video store (if it's not there, try the classics or cult classics section).

Where are you looking for the other two? They should be at most video stores and Netflix and such.

oh i use to love a movie called "Wizards of the lost kingdom"

i think that is what its call... shocking graphics, stupid plot, totally tacky from start to finish but.. oh how i loved it.

just thought of a couple more: "The Last Horror Movie" and "The Doom Generation"(one of the most fucked up movies I've seen in a long time)
