Your favourite obscure film (that nobody else has even seen)

Lord of the Rings trilogy, you all should check it out. Not many people have seen it, but its amazing.
The Matrix. Another small money movie that surprisingly not any1 saw, but still a goodie.
A good "underground" comedy would be There's Something About Mary. Amazing story, low budget actors.

Thos are my favorite inide films.

ok how about Pi (Aranofsky), Troll 1 and 2 (best B horror movies ever, and best viewed at a bar drunk), Wrath of God, Bad Education (and really almost any Almodovar), and any Jim Jermusch (except the new one, which is equally good, but bound tobe more mainstram with Bill Murray in it).

Just saw Stranger Than Paradise the other day for the 1st time. Good flick.

Bill Murray does not equal mainstream. Coffee and Cigarettes was a commercial flop... and it had Bill Murray acting alongside GZA AND RZA... so... theres that.

Aside, Jarmusch is my personal hero. He graduated from the same highschool as I did, and if he can make it out of this shithole town to make the kind of films that he wants to make AND maintain his artistic integrity at the same time (although putting Sharon Stone in his latest movie is pushing it a little) then why the hell can't I?

YES!

I made most of my friends watch that movie... only one of them actualy liked it. Almost everyone else fell asleep at one point or another.

Rome - Open City (Roma, città aperta) by Roberto Rossellini;

great film; prepared when rome was still occupied by german troops, shot with a lot of improvisation already in 1945; one of the first neorealist movies, but above all, just really, really good; it feels so authentic, it's almost a documentary; not to be missed;

I believe youre wrong. And the fact that this movie is being released in almost every major theatre like Cinemark and Lowes proves me right. Besides, and correct me if Im wrong cause Im too lazy to look up when they were released, but wasn't C&C released be4 darlings like Lost in Translation, The Royal Tenenbaums, and The Life Aquatic. I think its safe to say that Bill Murray has gotten exponentionally more popular over the last couple of years.
