I have to disagree: they should not make this illegal. It's up to people to do their research and use these drugs responsibly. I personally feel phenibut is an excellent alternative to benzo's and alcohol; since using it, I havn't touched booze for months now, thanks to phenibut. Besides, since when did making a drug illegal ever stop people from using drugs?
Oh yeah, that's a good point about making it a proper pharmaceutical. I think that would be very unlikely, as the stuff was made in Russia during the cold war; the Russians weren't big on patents, but the pharma companies certainly are. Anyway, they have baclofen as a drug and that is more powerful than phenibut anyway.I'm quite happy for this to remain as a nootropic or supplement. There have been no media scare stories about this yet, which is a good sign. I just hope to christ some idiot doesn't take like 100 grams of the stuff and get liver poisoning; that's how it starts.
No, phenibut is a very good drug imo; if dosed conservatively, it gives a subtle sense of calm, without sedation. Some people become euphoric, as the drug has dopamine activity. It's helped a lot of people with anxiety; I reckon if it weren't for phenibut, they'd be taking far riskier drugs ie benzos.
