The only legal way to hallunicate-sleep depriavation

Here is my two cents:
You don't need to be doing any drugs what so ever. Sleep depervation(sp?)? Why the hell would you even think of trying that? Thats just stupid. You have to ask us if it is a good idea to trip at your house with your family home?
NO FLAMES!

Here's a neat quote from William White about dissociatives:
"The psychedelic effects of the dissociatives are difficult to explain. They are nothing whatsoever like LSD or related drugs (mescaline, DMT, mushrooms, etc.) but they are clearly psychedelic. For years I've struggled to understand the dissociatives, and the best way I can explain the difference between dissociatives and traditional serotonergic psychedelics is this:
Serotonergic psychedelics are Eros, and dissociatives are Thanatos. The serotonergics are Birth, they are sensory overload, focus on the details, awareness of the external universe. The dissociatives are Death, sensory shutdown, focus on the archetypes, awareness of the internal universe. Serotonergics are the "Ana" side of Chaos, dissociatives the "Kata" side of Chaos (Chaos being the essential driving energy behind reality, if you will)."
I'd definitely agree that serotonergics feel like a magnifying glass, focusing in on the detail of a specific part of the universe with wild frenzy. Dissociatives feel more like stepping back a thousand feet, losing the concept of time, beholding how many different things fit together in their unbiased simplicity, in a state of epic calm. But the macro mirrors the micro - it's all just a fucked up fractal in the end...

His problem is that he can't get acid, not that he's too afraid to try it.
To the dude who started this thread: if your want to hallucinate so badly, buy a shroom growing kit and some spores

I've tripped pretty hard from not sleeping. I took a few ritalin to stay up, though. I woke friday morning, went to some classes. Went to loft party in Brooklyn on friday night. Stayed up. I drove down to Baltimore for Elixir on Saturday night, then back up to NY at 4 am. By sunday afternoon, I was seeing shadows that didn't exist and hearing people talking that weren't there. Also, textured surfaces and patterns were swirling, a lot like acid. It was fun, but the only problem was that , for some reason, I felt really hot and really cold at the same time. Anyway, fun, and I'll probably do it again, but not anytime soon.

My friend stayed awake for a few days and woke up to a dream of millions of snakes attacking him thinking the snakes were still there visualizing them, he woke up screaming and borke a tv stand by jumoing ion it to avoid the snakes, then he ran through out the house with a broom stick opening closets and checking for snakes..... he was awake for about 7 days on a lets smoke losta meth binge... ya staying awake is not good for you nor healthy i did it once and passed out at work shivering like literally fell over passed ou.. i guess maybe if i had eaten too but ya don't stay awake thats gay if anything drink a bottle of vicks hacking cough it's almost all dxm you'll be sure to trip off that!!

I sometimes see shadows in my perpheries and I feel twitchy and edgy when I stay up for about 12 hours. I guess sleep depr. is a bad trip thingy, not good trip. ive dreamt of snakes and when I woke, I knew it was a dream though

A really good psychedelic to start with is Morning Glory Seeds. They're easy and legal to get (they're sold at any garden center) and they're pretty fun. Not incredibly intense, but a really good way to start with psychelics.

All i know is that not sleepin suxs. I've had to do it a few times for papers and it resembles nothing of trippin, i just felt like shit.

actually 12 hours doesnt do that much, just makes you feel edgy. ive gone up to 36 hours and felt numb and my vision was blurry but thats basically all. ill read more on morning glory seeds. sounds like a good starter.
To discourage use today, commercial seed producers treat the
seeds with a poisonous coating which cannot be removed by washing. The
effects from this coating cause nausea, comiting and severe abdominal
pain. Extremely high doses cause psychotic reactions, heart failure,
and shock. I personally feel this is terrible. To attempt to stop
the usage of drugs by poisoning people is ridiculous!
no good! :(

:: THAT WAS THE DUMBEST THING I EVER FUCKIN HEARD COMPUTER COLLECTOR ::
YOUR JUST A FUCKIN PUSSY POSER :: WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD BELIEVE YOU CAN TRIP FROM NOT SLEEPING :: IVE STAYED AWAKE FOR DAYS BEFORE :: SURE THINGS SEEM WEIRD ***YOUR FUCKIN TIRED** BUT ITS NOTHING LIKE A PSYCHEDELIC DRUG YOU DUMB ASS KID

Actually, I beleive you trip FROM sleeping...
Think about it, when sleeping test subjects are given LSD or Psilocin they go immediately into a mode of REM sleep. Also consider that REM sleep has fractal properties and that the petuitary gland in the brain that helps control sleep cycles contains, among other things, 5-methoxy-tryptamine, which has some psychedelic activity, as well as the enzymes for creating DMT and the like...
so my theory is that whiile you're dreaming, you're really tripping...

sleep deprivation put me in the loony bin!it's no joke, i was vary delusional.i didn't do it intentoinaly either.i had been smoking some very potent meth for a while.anyway it got to a point where i hadn't slept for more than 10-20 minutes at a time for 3 weeks.i literally went insane and could not get a grip on reality!it was nothing like trippin'i saw people who i later found out were not there.i heard sounds that no one else could hear.i couldn't figure out why everyone was looking at me like i was crazy!i just kept saying "WHAT THE FUCK?"i was even smelling things that nobody could smell.it really sucked, there were no visuals or deep insights.only paranoid delusoins and extreme confusion.oh and believe me going to the phsyc ward is no walk in the park!it took me a couple of months to get back to "normal"i still don't really feel like my old self though.well i know there are no words to describe how really horrible the whole ordeal was,but i hope no one will intentionaly do this to themselves.if you want visuals take a good dose of LSD,i've done lots and lots and it's never done me wrong!

I have stayed up for 4 days straight sober and i don't remember hallucinating really, but i hear it is very common but not like being on a drug. My boyfriend is terrified of Kermit the frog now because him and a friend stayed up 3 nights and they both saw a life sized kermit the frog stand in the doorway, look at them and walk away. Thats creepy but really funny at the same time. My own expirience was basically just feelling very delirious and giggly. I remember i couldn't carry on conversations with anyone because i knew in my head how i wanted to answer the question but it was like my mouth said something else like i couldn't control what i said or how i acted. It was fun though cause everything was funny.

To deprive yourself of sleep is not the only legal way to hallucinate as both datura and amanita muscaria are legal to possess and consume.

this thread reminds me of a bunch of 16 year old boys talking about drugs around their high school cafeteria table.
(the following is merely an opinion, a suggestion)
I think that your hallucinating from sleep deprivation is relative to the amount of halucinogens you have done. Friends of mine who have consumed upwards of 100 hits of acid and over 100 pills of ecstasy will get very noticeable hallucinations after not sleeping properly (for the sake of argument, lets also include amphetamines, including MDMA). They arent hallucinations of the LSD nature, rather minor visual static, *minor* patternization and fractals, and minor tracers, due to lack of available fluids in the brain.
Personally, if I go with < 3 hours of sleep at night, I get very distinct visual blurbs and static. I will notice patterns morphing and moving in carpets and along grooved surfaces (again, very minor and easily ignored). Cars and other fast moving objects will leave minor trails and tracers. My thoughts will be very scattered, as though in a delerious state (not exactly psychedellic). The worst is I get lots, and lots of very tiny pixelated sprites, almost like fractals but they are just one stationairy pixel. Tons of them, only when im out of breath. For instance, I walk up 3 flights of stairs, and everything I look at looks as though im staring at a monitor or something, like covered with pixelated sprites. Its quite odd, but at the same time entertaining.
oh and I cant believe someone bumped this. I remember it from last year rofl.
