the official 2010 NFL thread!

oh fuuuuuuck yeah!

i'm sorry LITS. i've been pulling for miami. :D

the funny thing here is that braylon edwards has been a complete tragedy in cleveland as of late. so we trade him away and we get our first win of the season (despite DA's 2/17 for 26 yards). meanwhile, braylon comes to NYC, puts on a clinical scores a TD, almost 2, but the second is called back, catches nearly everything thrown his way... but the jets lost. oh sweet vindication. :)

the dolphins were 1-3, but they're a much better 1-3 than, say, the bills (sorry GM) coming into this week. henne was on fire and the phins just owned the wildcat offense tonight. ricky williams and ronnie brown were pretty impressive. the jets just couldn't keep up with miami. i was happy to see ginn get that TD too! :)

did anyone see the hit ray lewis laid down on chad ochocinco? Almost took his head off.

Sure did, and the Ravens can thank Ray for his bad temper and attitude, he probably lost the game for Baltimore. Helmet to helmets are illegal, and Chad probably wouldn't have caught the pass anyways, so he Lewis gave Cincy an automatic first down. Thanks Ray, you douche!

But Ochocinco did get right up after that hit, he's a baller, plain and simple. Ray Lewis is just a turd.

Chad Ochocinco has been irrelevant the last couple three years... I wouldn't put him at baller status just yet.

I can only think of a few teams I'd call the Bills better than this year. :\

there's always the St. Louis Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers :\

I'm pumped up because it looks like Troy Polamalu will be back this week against the Cleveland Brows. I am expecting noticeable changes in the defensive demeanor of the Steel Curtain (and not just because Pitt is playing Cleveland).

then I believe Pittsburgh has a bye week and then it is the true test to analyze if the team is of playoff caliber - a game against the Minnesota Vikings! can't wait for that one!

axl's week 5 rankings (up to 15, one night only)

1. Colts - the Colts steamrolled into their bye week. head coach changes don't matter when Peyton is essentially your head coach
2. Vikings - Favre is throwing better than ever, thanks to a superb D and RB
3. Saints - NO is damn good, but their defense hasn't been tested by a great QB all season, mark these words
4. Giants - I just realized the Giants have played mostly cupcakes, but they are undefeated...
5. Bengals - it makes me feel proud that I proclaimed this to be the year of Cinci's resurgence
6. Ravens - two tough losses in a row... Baltimore VS Minn looks like the game of the week!
7. Broncos - why are they this good? hell if I know...
8. Falcons - they dismantled SF
9. Eagles - McNabb is back and Philly is a contender for the NFC once again...
10. Bears - winning without Urlacher has been tough, but Chi is playing tough
11. Steelers - when Troy gets back, and if Mendenhall can dominate - watch out SuperBowl
12. Jets - Matt Sanchez is starting to look like a rookie, but Ryan's D will keep em in
13. Patriots - I love watching them lose....
14. Packers - their O-line is scary bad
15. 49ers - Frank Gore's shoulders shoud carry this team in the playoffs

again! this season is sooo much fun to watch due to the highly competitve parity. this list could change dramatically as soon as next weekend!

who's matt sanchez? ;)

and you forgot to put the browns on there. =D it figures that polamalu will be back in time to play the browns. not like they had a chance as it was, but there's even less of a chance now. though watch, this will be the week of the upset. :D

My top 10 for week 5:

1. Colts
2. Giants
3. Saints
4. Vikings
5. Bears
6. Ravens
7. Bengals
8. Steelers
9. Broncos
10. Falcons

I can't believe I'm putting the Bungles in a top 10. Ugh.
