the official 2010 NFL thread!

From the Ravens. They played against the Patriots and he was taken to Mass General but I haven't heard anything since.

TGIS - thank god its sunday!! NFL day all day!

posted on the web 30 min. ago - Jared Gaither is a no-go for the game today. They say "neck" injury. I understood it to be a "head" injury last weekend, but whatever.

I'm not a Ravens fan, but I was just curious.

ok, while I'm tying this, Howie Long is saying Gaither suffered a concussion last weekend. So, there ya go.

The officiators were skewed against the Ravens last weekend... I'm a Pats fan... That's what the PF stands for in my nick ;) But, fair is fair and it wasn't. Pats had some calls in their favor that shouldn't have been called, and the tackle on the Raven's QB that resulted in Gaither's injury was way more than what Brady got for that ridulous call.... There has always been, and always will be mistakes from the refs. But gross injustices make the win cheap.

dallas/KC game... a ref just got hurt (walk-off, but is being looked at off field) and now there's no line ref in his spot - they don't have second string refs just for this sort of thing??

Looked like the Nolan Niners of the past few years yesterday....bleh.

Seemed like the team bought into the hype and paid dearly for it. Atlanta looked like a team that prepared well over the two weeks time they had to do so. Hopefully the Niners will do the same when they face the Texans in Week 7.

I wouldn't want to be a 49er player for the next two weeks.

i haven't honestly watched the broncos all that much so i can't really say. he credits the veteran leadership, but not a lot of coaches are gonna outright say "i'm the one to thank."

and btw, anyone watching MNF right now??? i can not fucking believe braylon edwards just caught that ball. they ruled it a TD at first, but it was called back on a challenge. regardless that catch was fucking unbelievable. makes you realize how little effort he was putting forth in cleveland. or at least how lethargic he'd gotten. glad i haven't dropped him from my fantasy team anyways if he's gonna play like this the rest of the season. he looks like 2007 braylon edwards right now.

^i couldnt believe that, yes it was a great catch, Sanchez has quite an arm as well
i am on the edge of my fucking seat right now, this is so intense!!

Jets need to win or Im not talking to anyone tomorrow if they lose, i talked waaaay too much shit all day today!

i just can't believe braylon's catching like this right now. obviously, as a cleveland fan, i've seen it before, but we began to wonder if he's done himself in... or if 07 was a fluke. now, i know this is just one game, but to see him in the first 4 games with cleveland and this game with new york... it's like night and day. if he keeps up at this pace, i think it'll be obvious who's gotten the best of the browns/jets trade extravaganza starting with draft day.
