The EADD a trifle annoyed thread v. I bet that smarts a bit

You need to Evey.

Do you have a lot of lodgers? Why are they following you around? That sounds strange.

Evey

a)Yes.

b)I've pondered that a long time and concluded its better not to.. I'm wasting precious time in speculation..which is pretty much like being unconscious eg not being present to the now. I just do not know the reason for this intense curiosity in what i'm doing.

c) Yes, it is. strange.

you asked 3 questions and I answered a], b], c]....Is it the format you don't get or what?

oh and yep in response to your relationship issues ..yeah. just ' let it go'. Sorry I should have elaborated on 'yes you need to' perhaps

I'm tired. No, not tired EXHAUSTED!!!!!!! :!

WHY! Why is the rota so fucked up???? I need sleep. I just wanna curl up in a ball. Leave me be!

Finish Ciggy then dare sleep for half an hour more???? Last time I did that I was an hour late! 8o yet everyone thought I started at that time. Can't get away with that on an open as I'll be the only one there bar one other person...... Pretty obvious....

Just go back to bed and fuck work of for the day... Or call in sick...... Or call in dead... (only problem with that one is they get suspicious when you turn up for the following shift) :)

I would love to England but I've got a decent work ethic and also, I'm in that early because I have a massive set up to do. If I didn't turn up it would fuck everyone else over immensely. I couldn't do that to anyone.

I actually like my job and thats mostly down to the people I work with. I could never screw them over like that.

Nice thought though.....

I know what you mean....i love my work too (most of the time). Plus calling in sick is very frowned upon when there are only 2 of you in a crew to begin with and one has to drive while the other stays in the back....unless the remaining person is one hell of a multitasker its going to cause problems if one half of the crew is off at the last minute :)

I uses to work in the service industry (bouncer) for lots of years but I've for too low a tolerance threshold for arseholes to do that now I think.....

Agreed giving yourself the option of ringing in sick when your not is a bad idea, I've seen redundancy lists being largely based on a spread sheet of absence.

I had to have a day off last week and I just end up having to put in a 12hr + day to catch up, I can't say I enjoy work much but I think I'd enjoy the alternative less

the cuntstomer service industry is one thing but what you do is far more admirable. I have a deep respect for you. A field I have seriously thought of entering then realised I couldn't hack it... :\

I still want to pursue a career in Mental health nursing though. Missed my application date this year sadly.

Yeah it create a really bad impression if your off sick regularly. It looks better in fact to have 1 long term sick for several months than dozens of single days off. If you think about I that makes sense as if you break your leg or something then you could easily be off for months but no one has like 10 or 20 SEPARATE instances of sickness in a year. While obviously its hard to fire someone for being off sick, they can use things like redundancy to get rid of people as you say.

Saide - I'm sure I remember you telling me before that you wanted to vet into mental health nursing but had missed the cut off for this year. Not to worry though....there's always next year. What makes you think you couldn't hack emergency response though? You might enjoy it if you got into it. You know you can apply to your local ambulance station to come along and observe for a (12hr) shift....see what actually goes on

I'm used to death and my aunt was a paramedic / photographer ( you need evidence sometimes ) I am used to seeing upsetting scenes. This I can deal with. Children I cannot. I cannot be strong when Children are involved and you cannot pick and choose the calls you are required to respond to. It would kill me slowly on the inside I do believe. I would just end up a wreck or dead inside. I know my limits.

I've done my first aid courses and what not but can't ..... I'm a strong willed and strong spirited girl but when it comes to seeing a dying or seriously injured child I know it would break me. I would never be the same again.

Yeah I can understand that...anything to do with children can be very upsetting indeed. Especially parents who neglect their children. Just saw something awful this week regarding a child (that I wont go into) that kind of illustrates the sort of thi g gou mean. I suppose with mental health nursing you wouldn't really be called upon to have to deal with children. Its bad enough when children suffer accidents and the like but to see them hurt through neglect or even deliberately injured by their parents is something else.

I can defiantly respect and understand what you are saying.

Hiya Snolly, so you missus is a bouncer? My ex was a female bouncer (or door security operative as they like to be known nowadays lol!). She went on to become a close protection officer/bodyguard and actually worked for some white famous folk. She looked after Tom Cruise when he was over here filming one of the mission impossible films and has worked for Johnny Vegas a few times too )although apparently that mainly involves him dragging her round various bars and getting them both pissed and her nearly fired!!

I know what you mean about dodgy parking spaces... I remember years ago during my accountant career working at a place where we had to park so far off site that you had to get the buss from there into the office!! It wasn't like a park and ride or anything ot was just that the office was in an industrial estate and there was very limited parking with the only other parking places being at a local hotel that was about 2 miles down the road. To add insult to injury you had to pay to park at the hotel and then pay the bus fare to get from there to the office

She is occasionally! Manager at the company she works for but does doors and that when they need cover, she was on em til about 4am this morning, think I'd freeze to death long before that. Showed me a photo she took of herself before she went out and she looked straight out of Call of Duty with the stab vest and neck warmer pulled up. Would def not mind if she went the way of your ex though, imagine we might be slightly less skint at least :D The getting pissed and nearly fired bit does sound oddly attractive! That hotel parking lark is shitty, had similar at my old college, no spaces in the brand spanking new car park so you have to go park at the park and ride and if your classes overrun then you're buggered. We need hover cars, we really do.

Just because someone says they're a paramedic doesn't mean they really are one.

Evey

Nice Evey, very nice. I happen to believe that England knows his stuff, and wouldn't bother coming on an internet forum to pretend to be something he's not. Besides the fact, he's actually a nice guy Evey. It's not on to throw spiteful accusations around , purely on a whim.

Again, what has gotten into you?

Got called in to cover someone tomorrow. They knew he wasn't going to be in over a week ago so why I'm only being asked now I don't know. Does my head in. Bloke has flu, he's not going to be magically well after three days off so how hard is it to sort stuff out in advance?
