☛ Official ☚ The Big & Dandy Storage Thread

^ Thanks, some people cant store lsd in the freezer due to other housemates and their greedy little mitts! I am quite sure being wrapped in 2 sealy bags, in foil in a plastic container hidden on a brick wall behind a clock should be fine!

Hello all I was hoping you could give me some advice on my current LSD storage situation. I'm going for long term here, years and years hopefully.

So currently the blotter is in several strips of 5 each. Each one of these strips are wrapped in aluminum foil, stored in an amber vial, then wrapped in a plastic bag with a silica pack. This goes in the freezer in a small lock box.

One concern I have is that when one dose is needed the whole strip has to come out of the freezer. My idea is to get smaller separate vials and only store one hit in each.

So my questions are,

Is it worth it to store each dose separately? My stash is in the freezer now so it will have to be defrosted for me to do this.

Aluminum on the blotter or wrap the vials in it? Seems like most suggestions are to warp the vial itself.

Should I fill the vials with argon or another gas or is that overkill?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give. I've already learned so much from this forum.

Just got my first Research Chemicals, how I need to store it ?

Hello

I'm not posting thread very often but well... Since my last encounter with theses "unknown" blotters a friend introduced me to Research Chemicals!

He bought me a gram of 2C-C, I already make research about it on Erowid and I will probably tried it Saturday.

But I have a question, for how long I can store it before it "perished" I mean when the molecule become inactive ?

I already placed my baggie in a mettalic box with some dessicant and I placed the whole thing in a drawer in the dark at room temperature (not too hot, not too cold).

Can 2C-X be conserved for years without degradation ? On some Swedish board they said only 1 year in powder :( That suck! Cause I will not trip often..

Sorry for my english, I'm Swedish!

Tack Själv :)

Phenylamines are pretty stabel, If you avoid sunlight and temperatures above room temperature it should last long time.

At room temperatures in a plastic container, 2C-C can be expected to last for many years at 99% original potency.

Look at the big and dandy long term storage thread to learn about which chemicals are more likely to decompose (4-HO-tryptamines)

Yeah, as others mentioned, the 2C chemicals will last for years... and a gram will last you a long time. Just be careful with your dosing. Even a cheap milligram scale is much better than eyeballing.

Yes I have a milligram scale which cost me 80€. Also I have a question. Do you know about the tolerance about 2C-X ? Imagine If I trip on let's says Tuesday and want to trip again on Friday, should be ok ? Also the storage and conservation is the same with every 2C-X ? I mean 2C-C/D/E/I/P can last decades too ?

Also, thank you so much for your answers, it's great that it can last decades :D

Kishka,

tolreance to 2c-x varies a bit. in general, for a one time thing, you should be ok with 4 days in between trips. some say they can trip next day no problem, while others have to wait weeks.
in the name or harm reduction, you should wait at least a couple of weeks between trips to give time to fully integrate the experience and give meaning to them.

and yes, 2c-x storage is pretty much the same across the family, and all should last quite a while

Thanks so much, hope then my 2C-C will last 3 - 5 years without any loss of potency :\

I'm also thinking about stocking up on 2C, which is likely to soon become illegal where I live, and have an even longer time frame in mind (something like 10 - 20 years). Would this approach to storage still be OK or would there be big benefits to getting an airtight amber vial and keeping it in a freezer? Cost is not an issue for me, within reason.

I think the baggie works too as they previously said, should last a decade ! Hope so :)

Another thing you should consider for long term storage is moisture. To prevent oxidation and other negative things that can happen to your chemicals when exposed to moisture long term, you should get a desiccant (silica gel) and put them in the vicinity of your substances.

Definitely. I'm aware of the moisture issue and use dessicant whenever I store drugs. That's why I'm curious about freezing the stuff. It would add to the likelihood of moisture exposure but reduce temps, so there's a tradeoff. What do y'all think about this? Is 2C sensitive enough to temperatures to make this tradeoff worth it when we're talking about decades of storage?

If we're talking decades, a desiccant, dark container such as an amber vial, and storing in a freezer is the way to go, PEA's are pretty damned stable though (should be good for few years in a cool-ish, dry, dark place no problem), not like their fragile ergoline and tryptamine cousins.

Also, kishka, this thread will be merged with the B&D storage thread soon, but we'll give you a chance to reply first.

Personally I wouldn't freeze my drugs. Putting aside the fact that I will most likely forget that they are there after a trip home from the grociery store where I throw everything away that doesn't look as good as when I first bought it, theres definitely going to be some moisture. Making sure everything is air tight would be a 100% necessity as I wouldn't want a 2c-x to accidentally make its way into the ice cream and send an unsuspecting person into space.

Well I don't have access to amber vial, so I let my 2C-C in the baggie as it come, I placed the baggie in a little metallic box with some sillica gel in it (not in the 2C-C but next to the baggie). I placed my box in the drawer, in the dark at room temperature (but I guess the 2C-C is kept fresh via the metallic box). So finally it is OK for decades ? :D

I'll trip on 2C-C tonight :) Going for 25 mg and maybe a redrop. Will be my first RC !
