^^Haha,yea the 2d visuals make me feel like I am in fake scenery like doll houses and puppet show props.
 
^Truly though- get beyond the external visuals and then the true power of salvia is revealed (I don't know, time travel? Space travel? Space/time/matter travel? Space/time/matter/universe/windowpane/catsfeet/nosesandbannansinpyjamas travel)

Anyway, yeah break on through- you wanna see another world and actually interact with it and you can. But my god, is it TERRYFYING!! I accidentally took what would now be considered (by me) as a massive overdose of what I thought was salvia leaf, but was salvinorin-infused leaf, at about 30x potency. The trip was at the last A of the salvia scale for most of the time- Amnesiac- but if you read Sieberts first trip, it was like that- jumping from scene to scene, but mainly hovering around this ancient tribespeople. Unfortunately, this whole experience made my very existence frightening for several mo ths afterwards...
 
How to actually use a water pipe for salvia?

Hi,

I bought myself a waterpipe with intentions to smoke salvia, primarily. I have no clue as to how to use it, as I have never owned one, although I have used waterpipes some time ago (everything was loaded, all I had to do was aspirate).

Attached is a pic of the bad body itself. Here are my q's:

1) Up to where shall I fill in with water?. Shall the water level pass the outern hole (with tube attached)?

2) How do I light the susbtance? Heating the metal bowl (lower part), or heating the salvia directly? I have tried the latter, sans substance, and the flame, as I had initially thought, goes up, burning my finger.

3) As far as I remember with how these things work is; hit it with the lighter, exhale some air into the tube (bubbles appear) to heat up the light, then draw air in. Man, was this a long time ago.

Thats a hookah, someone correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think that you would be able to take large enough hits out of that to break through on salvia.
 
you could take large enough hits its just fact of weather or not you get it to burn at the rite temp to fully release the effects os salvia use a torch
 
I think thats a bit overkill for salvia. In my experience its much easier to use salvia extract if your intention is to "breakthrough". With extract it really doesn't matter so much what you use as the amount of plant matter to be consumed is minimal.

I often find smoking minute amounts of an extract can be pleasant, its nothing like a breakthrough dose, just a nice detached feeling, like instant meditation. As far as super intense highs go, salvia isn't really my thing.

i'll correct you, seeing as how i've done it before. although we didnt use a hookah bowl, we used a bowl from a bong and just fit it onto the top of it

that picture is looks like a hookah and smoking hookah is fun but you need coals and foil and the know how
 
It would probably be easier to use a pipe or bong rather than a hookah... but what you have pictured should do. It would work fine without water so if you can't figure out how far to fill it just leave the water out.

Light the salvia with a direct flame and inhale the smoke immediately, it's that simple. And be ready for anything. It might have no effect at all, or the effect might be so strong as to make you lose motor control immediately after the hit. Be ready for either possibility.
 
Thanks. I have used the coal and foil thing in the past, but the fact that I am an ignorant when it comes to smoke paraphernalia made me get this (although I think it looks cool as an ornament).

I am still baffled as to how I should light the salvia, which by the way, is an extract (10x). Shall I apply heat from lighter to the top ball (made of brass) or try and light the extract inside the bowl directly? I'd also like to fill it with water, since upon reading, the water cools the smoke so I can take a bigger hit.

Just saw your this part of your post. I was doing some emulation with normal tobacco, applying the flame from the lighter, but I could not hold it much time as I would burn my fingers, since flame goes up. I realy need to practise, dont want to ruin some good salvia extract.

Seriously though man, a simple bong would work a lot better. Does it have the little tongs on them? Cuase you are meant to light a hookah with coal, at least they are not that well designed to applya lighter to. Maybe a long piece of wood, just hovering over the bowl. As to water filling, I could be wrong, but I'd suspect you wouldn't want to go over the level where the tube penetrates the pipe/hookah due to inhaling of water. I've only smoked tobacco from something that looked like this, and it was effective.

Hnestly though a bong is simpler. Salvia isn't hard to smoke particualryl, its not a hot smoke and there shouldn't be alot of it either.

If you are sucking hard enough, the flame should go down. Thes pipes aren't really desogned for lighters though, so you may need extra large lungs to do so. Can you post a bigger picture, particularly of the bowl section?
 
also, you could invest in a butane lighter. They are better for salvia because of the extremely high temp. plus the flame won't come up
 
^High temp lighters are unnessecary- afaik salvinorin burns at a lower temp then paper. The main problem for people is almost always not being able to inhale enough to completely breakthrough. If your a well seasoned bong smoker such as I, I'm used to gulping massive lunfuls of smoke- in that way, I don't use particualry strong extracts unless thats what I have.
 
yes, that is why a water bong like this is so effective, it is very smooth and big and easy to take and hold =]

I smoked 20x salvia and blacked out, when I came to I was sitting on the ground about 10 yards from the park bench I was previously sitting on and my friend was on the jungle gym screaming about the flying zippers biting his skin. I have no memory of any "trip". However I'm concidering giving Salvia a second chance (this time in a home with a sitter).
 
Salvia is a strange one for me. I personly love all mind trips but this stuff is way different. Like most of you already said, it is almost imposible to discribe. It did take me few times of smoking it to finaly break through into a full blown trip. And once I did, I never went back. Can't realy explain why. Infact, it has been so long ago now (4 years) that I can hardly remeber the experience.

I recently purchase 3 grams of 10X but have been sitting on it for two months now. I hit it a few times very lightly and only enough to get a mild head buz. Not realy sure why I am afraid to go back into SD land but something in the back of my mind tells me not to. Anyone else experince this? It is like I realy want to experience it again but for some reason I just can't seem to get up enough nerve to do it. This is the only substance I have ever tried that this has happened to me.

^^ Yeah... I've had a few light experiences with it as well as two where I blacked out and came to laughing hysterically, part of a vast machine, but the actual trips I can't remember (I was intoxicated and partying at the time). I've got plenty of salvia extracts of various strengths, but have been sitting on them for years because I'm too afraid to go back, even though in the meantime I've tried almost everything else, including DMT. But DMT is light and beauty, whereas Salvia is utterly shocking and jarring, even violent.
 
^^ Thanks. I thought maybe I was alone. The strange part is that I can't even tell you why I am afraid to go back. I know I did not have a "bad " trip. No evil monsters or negative thoughts at all. Just for some strange reason I have this fear of going for a full blown ride again. It might be like you said "Salvia is utterly shocking and jarring". It is something that is beyond explanation.
