Growing Salvia

My question:
are there any techniques or methods of growing Salvia that can increase the amount of Salvinorin A in the leaves?

Is it true that the leaves contain more Salvinorin A during the summer?
 
Dunno, generally speaking the rule of thumb for picking medicinal plant leaves are while flowers are just beginning to bud.
 
Theres a technique of picking. Young smaller leaves have higher concentrations of Salvinorin than bigger mature leaves.
 
Higher salvinorin content is found in plants that are flowering if you can get that to occurr....I don't know, salvia is pretty fucking hardy, so I don't think stress it will raise the good content.....those links look good delta, cheers, I'll have to thumb through them.

Comparing effects on different salvia extracts question

People say salvia last 5 minutes on them and some say it lasts 30 minutes. Im wondering if you have a 60x extract compared to a 20x extract would you trip "Longer" on the higher extract?

totally..... it like existing in other dimensions.
i was moving this one tim in the 4D spacetime of normality, alongwith rotating in 12 more circular dimensions, and kind of "flipping" or "folding" thru yet another.
all this time i was existing in ANOTHER dimension, inside a machine, which was constructed of the 12 circular dimensions, in an office, doing work to make time "work" (each 12 circular dimensions were clocks, but i WAS the clocks, also.)

i am so pleased i experienced that.
someone who has not "become" other realities on salvia cannot understand this, and i hate not understanding things....
 
my friend smoked this shit and banged his head against the wall and became unconscious. Crazy shit.

I believe I read that the young smaller leaves have EQUAL Sal-A content as larger leaves. I don't think its MORE in terms of gross content. It's only more by weight.
 
Daniel Sieberts site provides heaps of growing ino on Salvia. One thing that should be noted, is that its a hardy fucker. I've heard of it being grown in alpine New Zealand, albeit purpler, but still equipotent. My own experiences growing it haven't left much insght, except to say that its not very hard. I used a small homemade hothouse to protect from frost, as that seems to be salvia's main enenmy, and was able to provide lots of friends and strangers with free cutting, as well as smoke the stuff myself. I don't know why I have never tried it in a different manner- I guess I hate the effects too much to want them to last. That is to say, salvia is the craziest drug ever.
 
i have found (albeit through moderately limited experience), that the salvia experience is a lot gentler when chewed. the angle and distribution of approach is different like ket and nitrous are different, which makes the whole salvia experience, for me at least, a lot more comfortable.

Dammit, when will I decide to really try for it with salvia? It remains one of my biggest curiosities. It's also interesting to me how full of clarity most reports on it are. Ever notice the sheer volume of good report there are on it, reports in which every last little detail is remembered?
