Help!! Just Extracted San Pedro

or just boiled it down i should say. was left with a lot of liquid! I took my first gulp and havent been able to get past that. IT TASTES LIKE POISON! What can i do to help the flavor?? Mix it with something?? In PIHKAL they mix peyote with orange juice... a good idea>?? thank you so much need help asap
 
Not much.
Two things that helped me immensely: Get it hot, it tastes less hot.
Also put liquid in your mouth like apple juice or something BEFORE taking a drink of the liquid. That way it doesn't get a chance to touch your tongue except for a split second aftertaste. Also: Plug your nose; less taste.

And just remember, it'll all be over in 10 minutes, and everytime you put the shit down pick it RIGHT back up. Trust me.
 
haha thanks.. we mixed it with orange juice but hardly helped. also the ratio of juice to juice makes for too much drinking. we got maybe a quarter of it down (holding breath helps the most!

i am trying to boil down the rest to make less.... dont want to wait tooo long tho as its getting late.
 
the boiling down worked great. made two half glasses as compared to 4 glasses of the liquid. i almost feel triumphant having completed consuming it now. now im just hoping everything went OK and i will actually achieve what i was looking for tonight. crosses fingers!
 
nothing really helps, I've made jello with it as you can swallow it in whole pieces.Still taste like crap but helps me get it down.
 
Reducing the ammount of liquid to the smallest ammount possible while being careful not to burn the brew is the best thing you can do:\
 
O.M.G... this probably tastes the foulest I have ever come across. I pray I will get decent alkaloid salt in the near future, there is a source thank mary. The cactus powder in my possession yielded a slimy compound that was about impossible to imbibe. Unlucky me, it was too weak as well too do anything mentionable... mescaline seems to be the most elusive of well-known psychedelics. I applaud anyone who has yielded heart and mind opening results.
 
You boil it down to under 100 mls and turn the goo into a solid by adding flour. than its green putty and you roll it into balls and swallow, NO TASTE!!!

Best method i swear by it.
 
I'm assuming you went that route either because of ceremonial reasons or that you aren't chemistry-wise. However, my suggestion would to save it and perform an A/B tek on it.
 
is it possible to over-basify the initial solution during an a/b extraction?
what ph does one aim for?

and if it is possible to over-basify, what is the effect on the extraction?
 
Mescaline tea is one substance that after time spent skinning, despining, and boiling my baby upon the first sip, I immediately threw it out. I have more success eating it straight, or capping it. Though the balls idea is going to probably be my next option.
 
^^ I agree with that 100%. Capping it was easy but took so many caps that I don't do it anymore. The easiest method I've used was the last time I took cactus, which was to finely powder the dried tissue and just dump it in a shot glass in several increments, mix with water, and take the shot. Nasty, yes, but I made sure to have water and peanut butter handy immediately to wash it down, and it was over in seconds.

The "balls idea" (=D) does sound very good, though.
 
Why the hell don't you people just do an extremely simple extraction? Gives a white crystalline powder that can be ingested very easily.....capped/drank/eaten, whatever is easiest.
