Benzos The Benzodiazepine MEGA THREAD - Direct Benzo Questions Here

I have the good fortune (and probably bad luck too!) to have lived in India for the last year or so. I have struggled with benzos, both pharma and RC, since last July, and have been skating very close to a pretty serious addiction for a while now. I know (or at least I hope) that my addiction at the moment is mainly psychological, I can go 2,3, occasionally more days without them. But I have found my tolerance has increased quite a lot. I have a draw full of different benzos, at the moment alprazolam, clonazepam and diazepam, and I finished 25mg of Etizolam in two days last week. When I take them I take at least 1 - 2mg alprazolam, 2mg clonazepam and at least 20mg + diazepam to really feel what I want to. I would be the first to admit, although I do suffer from genuine anxiety, I am also looking for a recreational hit when I take them too. Therapeutically, I could probably get away with taking quite a bit less, probably max 1mg alp, 1 mg clon, 10mg diazepam, but I enjoy getting a bit more 'mashed' from them as well. Hence why I think I am on dangerous ground. Anyway, less than two weeks to go here in India, then planning an RC diclazepam taper in the UK - did that before and seemed to work really well. But if you have any problems with anxiety plus any tendencies for serious hedonism, these benzos really are sneaky little buggers! And coming off them really isn't a joke. Wish me luck for my taper in a few weeks time! :-)
 
Is it ok to mix xanax with codeine and palexia? I usually take up to 300mg codeine and 10mg xanax but on different days. Also bromazepam rocks! xxx

if you do takee them together half your normal benzo and opiate dose as they potentate each other. after that you can safely adjust levels to the point you feel comfortable
 
Yeah, thanks for keeping it going. I am on my way back to the UK from India and have a full box of Etilaam 0.5mg with me. Trouble is, compared to some of the RC benzos available, they are just so damn weak. I have been popping them like candy with little effect. Time to taper down for sure. I have mixed xanax with codeine with no bad effects, but i am no doctor so don't take my experience as medical advice. If you give it a go, take a small amount of both and keep it steady.
 
anybody know if rivotril(clonazepam) taken at 12 hour intervals , stacks up in the body (like methadone?)
 
My (limited) understanding is that it all depends on half life. Clonazepam can have a half life of up to 40hours, so 12 hour intervals might not give your body enough to eliminate all the metabolites. If you are worried about addiction, Clonazepam is highly potent and physical dependency has been known to kick in in a couple of weeks. Full blown addiction usually takes more than a full month. If you want to come off any benzo, you need to taper. Clonazepam in particular can cause seizures if you come off too quickly - in fact one of its main medical indications is for seizures so you can imagine what might happen in reverse circumstances. The standard agreed procedure is to switch to a less potent but longer half-life benzo like diazepam or its RC cousin diclazepam. My Doctor even told me to keep ordering diclazepam because he couldn't prescribe diazepam and to cut down the equivalent of 0.5mg diazepam every two weeks (0.5 diclazepam) I successfully tapered off and then got back on the bastards again. However, planning another diclazepam taper shortly. I was on clonazepam for a few weeks and it was the only benzo that gave me headaches and brain zaps when I tried to reduce. Personally, I would stay away from it, but if it works for you then fair enough.
 
Been in bed all day (ill), can't seem to fall asleep now, but I've built up a huge sleep shortage over the last few weeks. 1, 1.5 or 2mg of Etizolam, considering I have to study tomorrow?

Also, paracetamol isn't harmful to combine, right?

It depends on how much you normally take, but four days tends to be my average for the worst part of benzo w/d. Your sleep might be interrupted for a while after thee have stopped too.

Without knowing your tolerance I couldn't say, if you have stuff to do tomorrow take 1mg.
No drug interactions with paracetamol.
 
I'm I have eh tolerance for about 8 years. I've started to IV to cut down takingn5-8ba day. I know Xanax is not water soluable, therefore I ass a little bit of a 100% vinegar that makes it dissolve quickly then I stir in with my plunger for a 120 seconds. Will that work? It works fine this same method with IV'ing fentanyl gel patches.

Guys is Clonazolam any good, iv been reading lots of reviews but today found it i was reading about clonazepam :o([h=2][/h]
 
Check the thread on clonazolam. Good shit... if you like to sleep deep and be benzo hung over for a full day. Not very rec, imo, would be good when you have the flu or are in opi w/d to knock you out. I keep a bit around for... I don't know. I like Flubromazolam better, I get a nice buzz for twenty minutes then go into semi-opioid nods. Seriously, but I snort 8-mgs of bupe a day too. Only these two benzos that bring out a nod in me. That, I must say, I do enjoy. But the clonazolam is just so strongly seadting that I start & finish a few nods then bam, I'm out until my damn dog thinks I'm dead and barks me awake. He's a good one really, if only he could admin narcan

N.B.: Narcan/naloxone doesn't work for bupe or benzos, so in my case it wouldn't help - good HR info. We as a community need to request investigation of drugs to reverse bupe ODs, there's one compound SAMHSA endorsed as a reversal agent but I've never seen it used or know anyone that has despite several bupe ODs where bupe was the primary intoxicant... (not myself, people i know through my HR work at a syringe access program ("SAP")) Bupe involved ods need immediate medical invention, often involving intubation, I've personally witnessed it. Very scary too see an opioid/benzo/alcohol/cocaine OD that responded to no pharmaceutical intervention by EMTs, or the hospital. They kept him alive until he metabolized out the drugs until they were all ND in his blood (not urine). Sorry for rambling...

Anyway...

That's a great ?, anyone try any of the new AZOs, Flubro or Clonaz during acute opioid, w/d? Did you not sleep? That shit is like a shot of Midazolam to me.

TL: ClonaZOLAM is a knock out agent for me. Potentials my bupe. Helps deep, almost motionless (for me) sleep greatly. Day long hangover, not much rec use, imo. Some love it. Check the dedicated thread.

Hey guys, I have a question.
I am using 50mg sertraline daily for depression and yesterday I took 10mg of zolpidem because of my sleeping problems. But today I wanted to take alprazolam 0,5mg because i had a really really stressfull day. Could that cause me any problems ? I am worried that some of the zolpidem i took yesterday may interact with alprazolam I was about to take.

no there should be no interactions, those are pretty small doses.
 
Thanks for the fast reply. I was just afraid I might never wake up if i go to sleep a couple hours after I took it.. I know it might seem stupid but i guess that's just my usual paranoia talking :\
 
Anyone know anything about Nitrazepam?

I only take 10mg at night MAX. It's been like 3 months that I have taken this dose, It's gotten to the point that melatonin makes me go to sleep more effectively than this stuff.
I'm not really complaining because honestly, I don't even have withdrawal symptoms if I stop using it, or skip a few days. But I have noticed since it has a long half-life it has become increasingly difficult for me to study or remember things the next day, and it doesn't help that I mix like six beers with it.
