Bupe Suboxone/Buprenorphine FAQ & Megathread v2; 2010

I started my taper off dope with bupe today the wrong way by not waiting long enough.

Just a reminder about precip withdrawal, be sure to wait until you are accually in withdrawal not dose at the first signs of chills. I IVed 2mg this morning after my last shot of dope yesterday at 2pm, and I was hit by a wave of cold, my blood pressure and heart rate skyrocketed, stomach in agonizing pain. The worst of it lasted about an hour and then started to subside into normal feeling of bupe slowly but surely.

hi all I already posted this somewhere I probably should not have cuz its gone. :p But seriouly i came to bluelight about a yr and a half ago and would sporadically post and don't think you guys know what you mean to me . The few who know me in here knew i was on suboxone and benzo's and I got pregnant and from coming here was able to get of the benzo's. I did not get many answers about pregnancy and suboxone but i didn't really ask .
The reason I came here is about seven days ago a woman emailed me with questions about suboxone and pregnancy I by no means am an educated drug counselor but i had some experience. I was terrified on suboxone pregnancy because so little knowledge or women who went through what I did.
So after This woman reached out I decided to just get the word out a bit that although I can't give any kind of professional advice I could give some support and share some fears and experiences. My son is now fourteen mths old and is awesome =D
I have since recieved seven letters and I realize more men may come in here but if you have a friend in this situation who just needs an ear or friend my email is [email protected] I hope this doesn't break any rule just want to give some hope for people who feel hopeless, When I was pregnant I did not know anyone on suboxone and pregnant. My obgyn did not even know what suboxone was or the nurses either and was not treated very well and would have loved to just have someone to talk to ok thanks all ash

CH- to clarify; I'm on suboxone, not subutex. Don't know if the naloxone in it makes a difference, but everything I looked at says suboxone is CIII. PLEASE, if you have a link showing me otherwise, post it. I don't turn my info in to my girl's insurance co. til Monday. I will check back regularly. This is of the utmost importance to me.

CH- And also, your reply to drifter is my other biggest concern. I could definitely see a different doc refusing to continue that line of treatment. I technically get it for RLS, and it's a pretty outdated med to treat RLS. BUT, I've tried Mirapex, and the rest of the recent rash of bull shit RLS meds. I've even tried parkinson's meds such as Topamax, and the only one that actually helps me is kpins. Also, most Drs know you shouldn't be on such high dose of benzos for so long, and would think something's up when I tell them I only take it when I need it. It seriously took me years to get this script, going through hell and back being a lab rat for pharm companies latest greatest drugs, while shitty Drs get kick backs for Rxing them.

P.S. I just did another cursory search on google and everywhere has suboxone labeled as CIII, if anyone can show me anything to the contrary I'd be SOOOO grateful.

THANK YOU to the wonderful people that have kept up with my posts/plight, THANK YOU very much to everyone that's responded to me, and thank you in general to everyone at this excellent, incredibly helpful website. I've learned so much in the six months or so since I've been here, it's crazy.

I'll say it again, discussion in this thread goes ridiculously quick. I have a hard time keeping up with my own topic if I don't check back often enough. Crazy.

Just so you know heavyhanded...we were only talking about suboxone being schedule V in a few states...we know that for the most part its schedule III...but in some states, like Ohio for instance, they have changed it to schedule V. Theres even a link in that girls post up there to Ohio's Scheduling Website, or some shit, and it shows buprenorphine as schedule V.

Also....your talking about getting suboxone scripted to you from the RLS point of view....of course that would be difficult....its not really Rx'd for that ....ever.
But all you have to do is go to a clinic or doctor that treats addicts with suboxone, and tell them your an addict and want help, and all that bullshit...they WILL give you suboxone, immediately(No several year wait).

I know its lying, but it fixes your problem and your competent enough to dose yourself according to your symptoms. So its not like your someone lying to a doctor to get meds to get high, your an actual patient, just simply twisting your words/symptoms, to get a medication you know you need, just for a different medical issue. And since our medical economy has shown that it has very little mercy for someone trying to get suboxone for RLS, you should try getting suboxone for addiction....youll find they are MUCH more willing to lend a helping hand.;)

...so theres no need to complain anymore about how hard it is to get your suboxone...I just told you a very simple way to get them, and its not immoral because your using them for a medical reason, and THEY are the ones in the first place who made it so hard on you to get the medication you needed.

^^oops, your talking about klonopin....nvm.

My bad

yea it also took me YEARS to get klonopin prescribed for "heart damage" related panic attacks that caused severe pain....they simply just didnt want to Rx me any benzos....TOO ADDICTIVE I GUESS....but now they FINALLY Rx'd me kpins..im still at only a 1.5 mg dose daily...which is a little less than half of what I need...I know this because I use to self medicate to help my heart pain and the dose that would take away my pain but not get me high was about 4 mg's a day.
They wouldnt even dream of scripting me that much....its pathetic....there supposeed to help me but im forced to go to the streets to fulfill the rest of the medication I need to stay out of pain.

hey all,
first off i want to apologize for my RUDE , IGNORANT, SELFESHNESS!! You were right james, I was going through a very rough day that day, and you were also right about me judging people. I have no right in the world to do that whatsoever. Im very sorry for that, and im actually kind of a little sick at myself that i said that stuff. (So i'm sorry kneeco for that, i really am) I'm going through a very stressfull time, as we all do. I just feel really alone and desperate. So i hope you can all forgive me and let me be a part of your site...cuz i need it. : /

All it takes is an explanation and an apology...ALL IS FORGIVEN!!!

..its that easy...I myself have learned to simply admit when I was wrong, or rude, or whatever...and get on with it...ive found this helps keep my relationships(even online relationships) in good form.

I appreciate your apology, and yes we all have difficult stressfull times to deal with at one point or another. Don't worry about it, we here at bluelight are here to help you. Anything you need, just ask.

That girl's post? 8o Do I really seem like a girl, lol?

So I've been using oxy for the last 8 days after being off it for 3 weeks and its amazing how quick your tolerance goes back up. The first few days 40 was plenty and I'm up to 120 a day again

I'm starting up subs tomorrow again, but only cause I won't get oxys again until tues. Ah the life of an opiate addict :/

Well guys, I am a bit concerned here. Yesterday night I IV'd 2mg of suboxone into a vein in the crook of my arm, I did NOT use a micron for the shot as I only have one on hand and I am waiting on the bac. water to make a large supply. I did however draw from the spoon through a cotton, backloaded the solution into another syringe filled to the 15 unit mark with packed cotton, than squeezed out and drew up through fresh ball of cotton, the final product was the normal looking translucent orange color, not cloudy at all.
My hands were a little shaky as I was in the onset of w/d, so right after I registered the first time, my hand jerked slightly as I depressed the plunger and a drop(literally drop) missed the vein, I could tell by the burning sensation of a miss of sub. I re-registered and finished the shot with no problem, and got my anticipated effects, no problems at the injection site.
Well about 1 hour ago, 18hrs after the shot, I noticed the site was becoming tender, and the track mark was slightly red, no buldge or bruise and the reddness went away after using a warm compress, however I feel a slight soreness when I bend my arm.
I am worried because I have an appointment with my sub doc on thursday next week and I cannot go in there with a red mark on the crook of my arm right ontop of the vein, and the 90 degree temps will make long sleeves appear suspicious.
I hope that it will not form an abscess because of the tiny amount missed and the fact that it took 18hrs to become irritated. I am hoping that I may have nicked the vein or tissue when my hand jerked and thats what is causing the reddish pink looking track mark.
Any advice on this matter or something I should do to avoid an abscess and keep it from getting any worse would be greatly appriciated. I hope I am just over-reacting and that it will be fine by the appointment.

Well, I don't know how it really looks like (and how your veins are in general) but you could do one thing to help (helps veins, I used it a lot), pour little water into something, then add baking soda so you get a mash, take some bandage and put that mash on it, then put the bandage on that place. I can't help more. I've never injected buprenorphine from any tablets and as a missed drop of cooked heroin gives pain (too much of acid added to freebase, junkies don't really care, I don't say 'don't use citric acid, don't use 10% acetic acid', I've just seen people adding even the same amount of h freebase and citric acid), some shit from tablets must hurt as well. I know I've filtered Dilaudid, Palfium, various morphine and other shit for sure in my life but I didn't miss. Now it makes me wonder 'how'd that be for a miss?'. Just like I hate 0.5mm needles, they're better than 0.4mm for this, they're longer, you can get inject at a very small angle and with veins 'going' deeper and deeper with narcotic use, it's good.

Yeah, Suboxone is CIII. You are right.

I'm really happy to hear your son is doing great!

I typically use long sleeves to my appointments, my doctor has never said anything to me (even if it's July).

If you look back to one of my past couple posts I gave you my opinion on it. I never had a problem splitting doses, but some people do. Try it, if it doesn't work try lowering your dose or a different ROA. I know you want to do it by the books, but taking it sublingually makes a lot of people sick. I'm one of the lucky ones, I hate the taste but it doesn't bother me that much.

I wear long sleeve shirts EVERY day(and I live in texas)...mostly button up plaid or somethign like that...ALWAYS with buttons.....just roll the sleeve up to where it stops just past your elbow(still covering your vein) and youll look perfectly normal. Its amazing...long sleeve becoming a short sleeve...all you gotta do is roll that bitch up.

*Its also fashionable too...make you look like ashton kutcher;)

If someone has a question how to get off of subs and PK's for good feel free to email me, and to anyone using them wrong it usually leads back to an addiction, i aint trying to judge anyone, but i know from my experience which was 5 yrs. on about 160-300mg of oxy a day, my life wasnt back to normal until i got off the subs all together, they have there purpose and for some they can work forever, but for me personally i had to get rid of all narcotics, originally i was staying on subs and thought when i hurt my ankle it would cool to get some percs for a little bit, ya bad idea, almost killed myself

It hasnt gotten any worse, and is just a little itchy now, so I suppose that I am in the clear as far as an abscess goes. If it is still irritated by my appointment, I have some XXL shirts with the sleeves that cover your elbows, so I will just wear one, or just roll the sleeves on a long one, but yeah not black, lol, but even if he did ask(which im sure he would not) I can just blame it on a injury or something...
I think I just ended up over-reacting when I saw the irritation. I am not going to mess with it again, untill I have made a bulk solution with my micron...

EDIT: My sub doc is a weird guy, lol. He is a regular doctor that does sub RX on the side to make extra cash and to 'help people'. He is totally cool with me testing positive for weed and benzos all the time, but flat out refuses to script any benzo or subutex, says dont even ask for it...

^;) I wonder about how these laws work in practice as well. I notice from that link I gave you about Ohio state law that codeine/ DHC are schedule V in certain preparations and so I wonder if it can be obtained from a pharmacist in certain situations there...

Yeah, sometimes you can get codeine cough syrups without an Rx. It's hard as fuck, though. I've only had it happen once, and it was my mom who did it for me.

You'd have to find a really caring/careless pharmacist though, since it seems they're still under the impression that "anyone asking for this is an abuser!"
