^^^Not really psy my friend.

I can't get over Free Range- Ooood, best psy at the moment. Oh My Good Golly Me is absolutely fantastic.

Also been rehasing Shpongle, definition of psychedelic.

Every single artist on HOMmega is utter shite. Everyone should check out stuff on Sanaton Records especially Derango. Other than that, standard stuff like Kindzadza, Penta, Naked Tourist and Azax Syndrom are psychedelic as fuck.

i disagree - astrix kicks ass.

you disagree, that's fine. but i agree with @lterego - writing off so many artists collectively just makes you look kind of silly.

They are all cheesy, hackneyed, dated and completely unpsychedelic sellouts.

So don't listen to them. Simple.

Astrix happens to be fantastic IMO as well as Sub 6, so there :p ....

oh, and why did you feel the need to just can the shit ou of something- keep negative shit away from here please.

Or else the monsters may come out.....

I don't listen to them. It's my right to express my subjective opinion that they are all trash - don't think I'm stopping you loving it. I just think they all give psy trance a bad name and it is ridiculous to call their music psychedelic. Hommega is why people call psy trance gay.

They are just very boring, very cheesy and have all been done before. I have no idea how anyone can take Dali seriously or why the hell she ever got a contract.

currently i'm head-over-heels for mandmademan - love technology

fucking stunning album... can't believe i've never come across it before.

also Tetrameth and Slug

All that can be said is- Meh.

I really wanna check out some tegma, haldolium and logic bomb, all playing at Akasha Festival which surely be my next doof as long as my fucking injured hand is better (grrr, i missed rainbowserpent becauase i severed all tendons/nerves/muscles in the fingers of me right hand on Friday). Anyway, recomendations on these artists, songs to check out, etc.?

Loving most of Koxbox- U-turn, track 6 is awesome. The album really grew on me. Also would really suggest Ticon remix of an X-noise song, name not currently in memory banks.

A local guy, DJ Shadowrunner has quite a few tracks up for download on his website. I first heard him at a club event that had otherwise extremely mediocre house music and he was like a breath of fresh air.

Plenty of hour long tracks, live stuff, very groovy =)

Ganga Giri (pronounced gunga, not gunja), Aussie tribal/indigenous/dubdidj/psytrance/dance. Really good to hear him on triple j (Australias "youth" radio station) last night on the roots program. Great guy, and my favorite tribal/ world musician. Checkout the podcast- http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/listen/default.htm Scroll down to the roots n all show and go for it. Starts bout 39.10. Its there for a week, so seriously grab if you wanna hear some fantastic organic didj-based dance, and hear a very decent and gentle man speak. The rest of the show is okay too, some strange reggaeish stuff, but not psy trance however.

I really looked forward to Ganga Giri's set - his lil' bro bought some rekkids from me sometime ago and plays regular trance and some psy here (haven't heard from him in a while so I dunno if he's still hanging around here in SA)...

I hadn't heard Ganga before... and I was really impressed... such an amazing tribal sound... it was so fitting to have it crankin' right after the opening ceremony... those indigenous sounds with everybody coming together in the beautiful Aussie outback, spirits were really starting to soar by then... :)

If you liked Ganga Giri also check A.B. Didgeridoo Oblivion - Lucid Dreaming

..

And if you would like some didgeridoo ambient, do NOT miss Tom Heasley - Desert Triptych .. Fantastic album.

ooh, ganga giri sounds excellent...

just ordered nano origin3, koxbox 'u-turn', bus 'morebusinesslinkyouthere' and oxygen's compilation 'occurance'. i'm definitely looking forward to the bus one in particular!

I've just come across Stompers Agony, a new release on one of my fave labels, Acidance...

Good yummy grunty stuff from the samples I've heard! :)

*makes note to have a music binge next pay*

=D

I must agree, the new OOOD album rocks. I'm not so hot about the housy tracks in the second half of the album, but there is some awesome, stomping trance in the first half.
