I am currently enjoying the hell out of the "Sub Signals Vol. 1" compilation from Interchill Records.

Its some pretty smoked out psydub.

In a similar vein, I'm really enjoying "Dubstyle" by Echo. Its much less psychedelic sounding dub, but it sort of fits in. Its fantastic chillout music. The production is very modern, clean and crisp, and yet warm and super smooth.

A comp. from a few years ago,Mind Control records. Really like track one, Talamasca and Eskimo (Talameskimo?) the songs called "To be continued" I think. Nice tripped out stuff.

A friend has turned me on to Quasar's "One Day". This is fast, rumbling, squelchy psy at its best.

i recently discovered a label i like almost as much as iboga: HOMmega productions

this proggy psy material is greatness. i need to find more stuff like this.

i really like the 'squeltchy' sound too, the first couple that came to my mind as far as complete albums were.

tip-3d
synchro-synch or swim
mystery of the yeti ptII has been close since its release.
i dont know much past '01.

well i mentioned it is some other thread, but 'Shiva' by Indoor is like the best song ever as far as i'm concerned. 10 years later, and it still gives me shivers.... :)

tons of other great songs though....

I haven't heard much prog from HOMmega to be honest, what atrists are you referring to @lter Ego?

i just discovered HOMmega while shopping for tunes yesterday, so they may not typically be a very proggy label. here are the HOMmega releases i picked up:

freq - "the moon & the earth"
(this is probably my favorite out of all my recent purchases)

beckers, d-nox - "naked punch"

astrix - "just in time"

ace ventura, intelabeam - "the jhon"

^^^You'd be very hard pressed to call any of the HOMmega artists, like Astrix, Sub 6, Xerox & Illumination progressive- HOMmega are actually one of the biggest Israeli psytrance labels in the world. I think the New Order comp. is one of their first proggy comps....

I didn't realise Ave Ventura was from Psysex.

in that case, i hope it's the first of many. i didn't buy every track off the album but obviously i picked up several of them. great releases all around...

Well, I've been getting into Kroppssprak, experimental minimal tech stuff- basically Krumelurs side project as far as I know. Very minimal, simple, clinky beats, not for everyone but its available for download (free too) so check it out
http://krumelur.trance.net/kropp.html

Also been listening to some trippy finnish music- The Nam Shub of Enki, Monster zoku onsomb, Squaremeat, Texas Fagott.

^I was listening to Texas Faggot earlier today, fucking crazy stuff!!

There's a fucking wicked Aceventura vs Intelabeam track called 'Nasty Peach'. Check it out, flows so well.

Bought a comp the other day, Flow Records-Daily Basis (v/a), some nice proggy with electro twists. Also purchased New Maps of Hyperspace NYE Countdown 2004. Mainly for the live Shpongle orchestra and the Hallucinogen and Etnica tracks. Although it helped me discover the wrecked machines version of born slippy.

Currently listening to Pleiadiens latest album, Seven Sisters. It's good but has nothing on I.F.O :(...I guess nothing ever will.

i'm trying to check it out (i've found that i like both of those artists) but i can't seem to dig up a clip of it that's long enough to include the real meat of the track. do you have a good link? everything i can find on it sounds like either the intro or a breakdown... or else this track is way more minimal than i expected.

and yeah, willow, apparently ace ventura = yoni ahsrat from psysex.

currently kicking it to OOOD - Free Range

This album is incredible. The entire album defies explanation and everything builds up to the last track, Eye of the Beholder.. If that acid line that comes in early in the last track isn't enough, the trancey bliss of the end of that track will leave you in awe.

Well I'm enjoying a dark psy set- Dark Nagual, by DJ Gondar I think. Peyote people rock.....

Texas Faggott is some weird fucking shit, I personally prefer sqaremeat, but their in the same league. Bak to mad is unreal needless to say

vanbc, word! i played after OOOD in October and to see them do most of the stuff from 'Free Range' live is... incredible. i mean live drumming, live guitar, live synths, live sample manipulation :D if you ever get the chance man you MUST see them!

today: Tron - Existence
