I saw some shit once, too, my ex and I both did. It started with a green orb in the sky, it looked like a green reflector more than anything else I can compare it to. It hung there motionless for a few moments and then shot off across the sky past the horizon in the blink of an eye... SO fast, the fastest I've ever seen anything move. Then after that we saw some lights in the sky. We were driving on some back roads to my parents' house from college, it usually took about 30 minutes and we'd taken the route very often. As we kept driving, we got closer and saw that each light was actually a pair of lights that were next to each other, and each pair was moving in strange directions, they would stop and abruptly change direction, even sometimes going the exact opposite direction. The more we looked at them, the weirder it was. We rounded a big bend and cleared the treeline and we saw a bunch of these pairs of lights, arranged in a formation, a sort of staggered line, from as far as we could see to the left to as far as we could see to the right, a ways away. It looked like they were above the town we were headed to. It was pretty alarming actually, we were both like um.... so... should we be going there? Should we be heading in the opposite direction right now? We stopped to gather our thoughts. I got out of the car and peed and we looked at the moon, which was very distinctly clear, you could see so much detail, it was something we both mentioned, almost like the atmosphere was more see-through than usual or something. Only seemed like we stopped for like 2 or 3 minutes and then we kept going, decided it's probably something more mundane than we were imagining and either way we were on the way to dinner with my parents.
The pairs of lights stayed hovering where they were, they seemed pretty high up in the sky but it was hard to be sure. We made it to my parents' house, and as we were parking, we saw another reflector-looking thing in the sky, but red this time. Same deal, it hung there and then shot insanely quickly over the horizon. Then, as we got out of the car to walk inside, a military-looking plane flew overhead, VERY low, we felt the wind of its passing, but it was completely silent.
That was the last thing we saw, but once we got inside my parents asked what took us so long, and we looked at the clock and it had been over an hour to make the 30 minute drive, it was like 75 minutes if I recall correctly. Makes no sense, the whole memory is continuous, but we did get out of the car, but it couldn't have been more than a couple of minutes. So weird. I have never been able to explain some of that stuff. I learned that there is a military base in the area, so there's that. But whatever those reflector looking objects were, the speed they flew was mind boggling. What made the experience particularly striking was how long it lasted and how many weird things happened during it.
