online journals (list in first post)

Just out of curiousity..... Does this Live Journal get "moderated/edited" by the site operators? I mean for example if some tooth fairy wanted to talk about some crazy drug expereince she went while she sprinkled coke all over the place while she flew while under influence on some crazy mushrooms?

The reason why I am asking because I have checked some online journals and noticed some sites that whoever put drug related references they get edited/banned.

So whats the deal with this LJ?
 
Nah, livejournal is go for your life... there's so many members now they'd need to have about a billion mods ;)

I have an LJ which isn't too hard to find thru the rest of the BL crew.

I would recommend a host that explicitly allows "adult content" (though there are a lot out there that claims to allow just that, but they really mean sex, not drugs). I had to search high and low for one that accepts drug content and finally decided to get a VPS. I've seen LJ with drug content though, so I don't think that'll be disallowed.
 
LJ has communities with porn and drug content so I'm quite sure it's allowed - there's a big FAQ on all the LJ stuff here

haha yeah there's all sorts, i got bored one day and did a search on all these interests and you'd be amazed what is really out there.

Yeah, you're right, I've seen them around too. There was this incident that came into mind though - apparently there was an issue with one LJ user linking to a site that contains child porn and not only got shut down, but his details were given to the authorities. Now, I must state that I personally feel even linking to sites containing underaged pornography is very wrong too, and I'm totally against that. I was just surprised they could trace him down and they threw the book at him very hard too.
I used to think that LJ and blogger are "safer" because it's rather anonymous. I guess it depends on where the server is hosted, some hosting companies will go out of the way to get you out of trouble (ie move your content to a server away from US jurisdiction to a country that has more liberal drug laws).

yes I can imagine there would be alot of dark dirty little LJ corners ;)
 
yeah, it either doesn't work, or is really slow... well, at least i know it's not just me, thanks pekkie! =D

i assume they're running some maintanence.
 
Livejournal's been shaky for almost a week before going totally "offline" today (for me).

so for now, it's back to old blogspot ;)
