online journals (list in first post)

Now you've done it, I just have to give my BL journal a plug...

I find it rewarding to write down what I am feeling and thinking and also like the idea of being able to share it with other people. I particularly like when people comment on my journal. I guess because it's an indication of what I am thinking/feeling is common/interesting to another person apart from me.

I've followed the trend and made my journal friends only apart from a few posts... however I'll friend pretty much anyone who has a LJ on request :D

Mine isn't friends only - I don't write anything I wouldn't want others to see, and I can easily delete any unsavoury comments which are deemed unnecessary or out of line :)
 
here is mine.

the one weird thing about livejournal is the whole Friends thing. some people have added me and i have NO FUCKING IDEA who they are.

then you comment on someone's journal, they comment back, and this goes on for a while. in the meantime you are thinking "bastard, JUST ADD ME ALREADY" because you don't want to instigate the whole Friend thing. it's like asking a girl out, very emotionally crippling imo.

or maybe im just looking into this a lot more than i should.

haha.. I hear you on that one! Some dude added me as his friend and his journal is all about how he is in love with his dog or something weird like that... I wonder if his journal still exists.
 
^ Definitely the latter. I like your journal. It's often about pregnant degenerates in your area or your own stupidity. Both subjects amuse me.

edit: God dammit that was meant for preacha. All you people are posting way too fast tonight.

Not really, sometimes circumstances beyond your control come into play and believe me after so many years of hanging my heart and thoughts out for the whole world to see it wasn't a light decision but it's part of my spring cleaning my life kick and we'll see how long it lasts - I'm not that great at sticking to the friends only thing because I usually get PM's and emails from people who read it and don't have a code and I guess if people are interested I kinda feel like i should keep it public heh.

ahh see your journal has been one i've read from time to time but didn't know who it was so haven't added, if you don't mind being added let me know.

oh yeah mine is here there's a few public posts on it but considering I've been keeping the journal for 3 years the majority is friends only but like I said I'll add pretty much anyone on request :)

well if i used every entry to tell people how intelligent i was, i'd get carpal tunnel syndrome.

and PsychoKitten i don't care if you add me. gotta boost my livejournal popularity somehow
 
preacha: If you used your journal to tell everyone how intelligent you were we would laugh riotously and then remove you from our friends list. ;) [Okay I'd remove you but still read it anyway.]

COTB: I'm with Psychokitten on this one. There are definitely times when Friends Only is required.

90% of my entries are public, 5% friends only or custom lists and 5% private.

There are heaps of journals I read but don't want to add to my friends list because I don't want them to think i'm a stalker.

Oh and this is my journal. It's quite mundane but it kills the time.

I only started my journal a couple of months ago while I was going through a rough patch and found it to really help with sorting out all of the shit in my messy head. It's the one place where I can just let rip if I so feel the need to, or just type random day to day stuff.

I've only got a few people on there atm, and I think there's about 2 or 3 others that read it who aren't on livejournal. If you're on livejournal, and I know you then just ask and I'll add you. Won't give out the address, but it's not that hard to work out.

As for people reading stuff I don't want them to see, well if something is really private I just make it friends only, or only so I can see it, but if you don't like what you see, then I'm not going to apologise about it, most of the time what I put down is totally different to what you think it means anyway. :)
