Gotta love the oldest baseball team in America!

As for the Jackets, they said all they want to do is split the games in Detroit. So far the plan is working;)

Peguins beat Flyers tonight 3-2...thats 2 wins for the Penguins
Hurricanes beat the Devils 2-1 making them tied in wins
Canucks and Blues in progress, 3rd period, Vancouver winning 2-0, if they win tonight that will be 2 wins for them

Rangers play tomorrow at 1...got the hockey package, for some reason they stopped showing games after the season ended and i think so many people complained that we didnt get playoff games so they added the games to our package. Now I can drink beers and yell at the tv in the comfort of my own home

Game 2
Bruins VS Canadiens @ 8 PM Bruins lead 1-0
Jackets VS Red Wings @ 6 PM Redwings lead 1-0
Flames VS Black hawks @ 9 PM Black hawks lead 1-0

Hey guys

Rangers won it again!! 1-0 Callahan scored the only goal. it was a tough game and Lundqvist is problem, hands down the best goalie or at least one of the best in NHL history

Rangers 2-0 lead in wins against Caps
Canucks take a 2-0 lead in wins VS Blues, Game 3 tonight at 7 on Versus
Penguins 2-0 lead vs Flyers, Game 3 today at 3 on NBC
Red Wings 2-0 lead vs Blue Jackets
Boston 2-0 vs Montreal
Devils vs Hurricanes are tied with 1 win each, Game 3 tonight at 7:30 PM ET
Blackhawks beat the Flames yesterday 3-2 giving them a 2-0 lead in wins as well
Ducks take the lead with one win against the number one team in the NHL, the Sharks
tonight is game 2 at 10:00 PM ET, on Versus

the jackets got owned last night. 4-0... ugly ugly. tuesday is a do or die game. if they win, they're back in it, if they lose... i hate to say it, but stick a fork in em, they're done. :(

i couldnt even find this yay im happy its going
just finished watching the rangers vs boston
great game but we lost :(
we really need to win the next few games or we can kiss the playoffs good bye :)

go rangers

Hang tough I"m pulling for a Rangers/PENGUINS series.
GOODLUCK!!

Tough loss for me yesterday. Flyers handed to my PENGUINS. Shocked that San Jose is down two games. Still think they will win the series. Confidence was shaken yesterday but not stirred.

sorry to hear about the Penguins, i can not believe that the Ducks have taken a 2-0 lead in wins
New Jersey beat the Hurricanes 3-2....Jersey has 2 wins, Hurricanes 1
Rangers play tonight, too bad ill be working :(, but i have internet on my phone so ESPNs site will be up
Bruins and Montreal play tonight at 7
Blackhawks and Flames at 930

I couldn't watch any other playoff hockey until last night, I was too pissed off. That happens to me sometimes. If the Caps play like crap, all the other games just frustrate me even more

goalie change was what we needed, but I think this series will goto seven regardless

ahhh rangers won, we need won more!!! im soo pumped!!

Here are the current standings
Boston vs Montreal 4-0 Montreal out
Rangers vs Caps 3-1 Rangers lead
Hurricanes vs Devils ties with 2 wins each
Penguins vs Flyers 3-1 Penguins lead
San Jose vs Ducks 2-1 Ducks lead
Red Wings vs Blue Jackets 3-0 Red wings lead
Canucks vs Blues 4-0 Blues out
Flames vs Black hawks 2-2 tied

Black hawks lost tonight...final score was 6-4

Bluejacket fans are a bunch of classless bums. Throwing cans and bottles on the ice like a bunch of crybabies. It was a good call. Modin clearly had control of the puck while there were 6 players on the ice.

and damn what a fucking goal by the mule with 46 seconds left. Had the blue jackets played like they did tonight the last three games, they might have had a chance.... Too bad so sad. See ya

yes blue jacket fans are a bunch of classless bums. whatever you say.

obviously you don't understand the magnitude of what that one call (right or wrong) meant to us. i guess when you pick your favorite teams based on how many championships they've won, not only are you rarely let down, but you don't fully grasp the concept of disappointment. get over yourself.

alright alright, soulStice I remember in 96 when the panthers blew the stanley cup and the fans threw rats on the ice. it happens all the time. fans get upset, it happens. At least the blue jackets made it as far as they did, this was their first time making it to the Stanley Cup playoffs

anyways here are the standings as of today
(for teams still in)
Rangers 3 Caps 1...they play tonight at 7:30...big game
Devils 3 Hurricanes 2..we might see them take it all the way to game 7
Penguins 3 Flyers 2, go Crosby
Ducks 3 Sharks 1...the ducks played a great game last night
Flames and Black Hawks tied with 2 wins, they might take it to game 7 as well, great talent..go Kane

As far as teams that have made it to 2
Boston (ew)
Canucks
Detroit

Eliminated
Montreal
Blue Jackets
and Blues

Was the call wrong? I read in an interview that Hitchcock said(and i"m paraphrasing) "by the books it was a penalty, but just let the players play", What kind of crap is that? Furthermore, Had Modin let the puck go by, there would have been an icing penalty on the wings. The jackets would have had a chance on a faceoff in Detroit's zone. The second he touched that puck it was a penalty. I'm sorry if you think thats shitty, but its the truth. Throwing beer bottles on the ice because you don't like a call is classless. Throwing octopi on the ice is tradition though :D

I get that it was an emotional moment. Your first playoff appearance ever, game tied with 47 seconds left. Emotions run high. However, its not like it was a bullshit call. They did have too many players on the ice. If it was the wings who were in the penalty I guarantee you would be all for the call.

I'll give the jackets credit. That was an amazing game. They played well. They had their heads on a swivel and were making plays. I wish they had played with that intensity the whole series. It makes for a great series, which win or lose I love to watch.

and for the record I grew up 20 miles north of Detroit. I have been a wings fan since I was in the womb. My dad used to get a 9 game package every year when I was growing up. I loved them even in the early 90's when they were the "dead wings". Just like my Lions who I will love until I die(even if they didn't win a single game last year)-- a fair weather fan I am not.

I've lived all over the east coast, (lived in dearborn all through my teenage years) and I honestly say that Lions fans are really some of the most loyal fans in sports. BUT I also think that they derive some sort of sick pleasure from watching their team lose.

anways back to hockey........ the Caps are fucked. Avery practically handed us game 4 and we still couldn't do it. The saddest part of this series has been watching Fedorov. He's really showing his age out there and it's hard to watch.

I'm glad Montreal got swept. I can't stand them or their fans

your level headed response allows me to assume that you're not an asshole. which sucks because i was hoping you were.

point is, i never argued if it was a good call or not, cause i know that by the books, it was a penalty, though i'm not sure it would have crossed the goal line (i'll have to look later) for an icing. regardless, i just wanted to make my point that one situation doesn't deem CBJ fans classless bums. that's not the norm by ANY means and fans at the game don't have the repeated looks that we at home do. not to mention the with under 2 minutes left in a deciding game that's tied 5-5, more often than not, as no advantage would have been gained most referees would have let that go, not saying they should or shouldn't, but more often than not they would have. our 6th man was already at the bench with his back to the play, he just hadn't hopped over the wall yet. that was a HUGE penalty at the MOST critical time during the series. surely you can forgive columbus fans for their anger and frustration at that moment.

and i understand that throwing octopi is a tradition, but it's a tradition in detroit, not columbus, not during a 3-0 drubbing late in game 3. so if you want to base things on one moment, it COULD be construed as detroit fans being classless bums as well. that's just my .02.

regardless. the series is over. congrats to the red wings who REALLY outplayed the jackets. CBJ played well in game 1, for the first half of game 2 til they fell apart, not well at all for game 3 and great in game 4... but even so, the wings never took their foot off the pedal. good on ya guys. maybe next year. at least we finally got TO the playoffs. :D
