Mushroom Season 2007

Amanita Muscaria, edible and hallucinogenic but much different to "gold tops." They dont contain Psilocybin, rather Ibotenic Acid and Muscimol. You can find more info on them on the link 8ft-Sativa gave ya.

That orangey one almost looks like A. Muscaria var. formosa, but cant be sure from just a picture. Either way i wouldn't eat them, the experience is said to be rather unpleasant.

Saw some pins at one of my patches today, heading back this friday or so and hopefully ill have a few to bring home.

This is NOT the place to ask for mushroom ID's.

This is not the place to ask where or how to find mushrooms. There is much better sources of this information.

If you don't know what your doing this is not a good way to learn.

If this is ignored this thread will be closed and we will not allow any discussion on the topic.

It can't be stressed enough that if you don't know what your doing and you eat the wrong mushroom it can be fatal.
 
I'm sorry didn't mean to go against forum rules. I highly regard this site. I didn't know where else to go. I do now as 8 - foot sativa has showen. Thankyou and sorry.
 
Found about 5 small subbies in outer eastern suburbs.

I got incredibly angry coz i found that other people had been at it and completely dug up everything, and left hungry jacks rubbish and empty cans of booze everywhere.

The bark was nice and very moist but there was holes everywhere from some dickhead screwing it up for people that take care of that patch year after year...ie ME
 
Shroom season has begun my fellow Melbournites :) :) :)

Just found a new patch of about 200-300. Was very moist as it was in a sort of basin which retained all the moisture. Had no camera on me as i stopped to have a look after tafe however im going back at about 9 tonight and will take photos then.

I suggest you all go have a look as they are definitely poppin up :)
 
hey, anyone havin' any luck around sydney? I've checked some local parks, but no actives :(

Yeah i found a few in outer eastern melbs, but as i said in my previous post, i was really upset to find the patch that i take care of year after year being trampled on by some dickheads, and everything dug up. I always use scissors etc.. and even pick up some other peoples rubbish to keep it clean, but alas some people see it fit to fuck it up for everyone else.

There is always HEAPS around here and a few select people usually come, take what they need, and go, but its the station rats leaving all their food rubbish and empty booze cans everywhere which kind of puts a dampener to the start of my season.

mmmm...May be a while yet imo...last season ran pretty late...global freakin warming if you ask me...

Good to see Melbourne kicking in though!!!
 
QLD Mushrooms still kick ass.. Something ass-kicking about them.
Ask anyone exp. with other shrooms.. therte is something wild, nasty and truely horrifying about
a QLD msuhroom expereince. maybe they were picked on an ancient aboriginal burial ground who knows!

Splatt, are you saying QLD cubensis are better than NSW/VIC subs? I definitely disagree, ive tried both on many occassions and subs are easily more potent.
