MELBOURNE.:Godskitchen:.October 8th:.Melbourne Park:.

I like future events because it is not just a teenager event, like most rave clubs, it is a more mature crowd over all.

This is just soemthing I cannot bring myself to believe

How can you say hard trance, hard house & hardstyle are shit?
Nothing's as shit as that weak pansy trance shit.
Go hard or go home buddy!

^^^ umm im pretty sure moe is staying at home for this.

i should hopefully get the early shift to work this that way i can walk out the main gate, get changed and then walk back in. otherwise i cant afford it

Easy choice :)
I'll be sure to go to all those good events that play decent music and aren't full of deluded idiots and muzzas ;D

hard trance and hardstyle can't be that shit if the most popular djs in victoria and australia jewelz, midro, hellraiser, nik fish, amber savage keep pumpin out them hard tunes. and last time i went to your so called good trance events moebro i nearly fell asleep and saw more idiots there than i would at zos or fuckin heat

ahhh this thread is just getting too funny.
especially because moe doesnt listen to "trance".
jewelz midro, nick fish and hellraiser. mmm they have just sooooo much talent.

Hard trance this, weak trance that....so closed minded :(

Just simply accept people have different tastes. Personally I love all trance.

Some times I want a hard weekend out where you get hyped up and energized in the hard and fast sounds of hard trance just feeling alive.

Other times I feel like some ol'skool/classic trance where it's like taking a journey as you revel in the pure blissfulness MDMA and the power of the DJ to take you to different places.

Having said that I agree the atmosphere at most club events these days don't feel as friendly and accepting as some of the events of past.

I agree also with the repetitive shuffling (not that I have anything against is as I think it looks good), it's as if it has become a competition where people try to out dance each other. What happened to the times no one cared how you moved/danced as long as you where having fun.

i love seeing people defend their choice of music....

face it people.. it all depends on what stage of your partying you are into..

if you have started out, you love your happy hard..
if you have been going for a year or so, you love your hard house..
if you have been going for a couple of years, you love your trance..
then you love your electro..
then you love breaks... (And thats when you know you are jaded..)

in my opinion, dance music in general is pretty lame....... give me some loud guitars and a good band (and music that has non-repetitive lyrics) and i'm a happy camper...

yet, i'll still be at gods kitchen... why? i don't give a stuff what music is playing... i'm simply going to have a good nite with good friends, and meet some weird and wonderful randoms....

Where's DnB fit in muvvafukka?

My progression has been slighlty diff to that too, but you've got the general idea right ;)

And I wont be at GK, too expensive for what it is.. now Kryal on the other hand...

dr.beat if i see you at godskitchen i'll slap the shit outta you jus for sayin that hard trance, hard house and hardstyle are shit. I dun think godskitchen is for you anyways buddy try the RSL down the road i think they'll provide the atmosphere your looking for there

slap me ? a real tough guy saying that on a computer. You would NEVER say that to my face. I love 20 year old bravado - all show, no substance.

anyway, if you read my message properly, or if you had the proper reading skills, you would see that i wrote i am not into that music ANYMORE. I did not say its shit, infact, i use to love that music 5 years ago, when the rave scene was more friendly and more diverse.

I just dont have 20 year old agression anymore, which you seem to have plenty of.

If I see you at Gods, i will give you a big sweaty E hug. :-)

=D

Just look at the dates people joined bluelight Vs their taste in music.
I think it says it all, really.

GK - i'll be there for the dark dirty progressive house, with just a smattering of breaks. That, and that only.

And it seems darn hard to find quality in that genre in Melbourne, because, as you say, "the most popular djs in victoria and australia jewelz, midro, hellraiser, nik fish, amber savage keep pumpin out them hard tunes"

Most popular according to whom, exactly?
Nobody that i know.
I prefer a bit of substance to my music. I like to be taken somewhere special.

I'm with Dr Beat. You'll grow out of it one day soon......

Hey I started out listening to Trance as a teeny bobber and 10 years later I still love it. Admitteddlly my taste in music is more diverse these days I still like the old with the new in many styles, be it hard, soft or whatever.

It all depends on mood and mindset for that evening.

Having said that, enjoy whatever music you best like and keep the friendliness8)

To all those people whinging, if you dont like it, please dont go and bring me down.

I personally like most big Future events, and usually have a really good time.

I suspect some of you whingers are expecting a rave. It is not a rave, or a rave club, it is an electronic music festival. BIG DIFFERENCE. If you have been to Europe, you will know what i mean.

I loved raves in 99, and rave clubs in 2001, but now i am totally over them, cause they are filled with insecure teen-agers, all doing the stupid repetative Melbourne shuffle (which i hate with a vengance now after seeing it 1000 times too many), and most people fucked up on speed, pills, ketamine, GHB, THC, what ever they can get their hands on, and the music way too agressive for me. (I am now in my 30's so i have lost all my teenage angst, so hard techno, hard trance, or hard house sounds awful to me now)

I love Future events cause the majority of the people are on MDMA, and only a minority on GHB, ketamine, speed and other UGLY drugs.

I love the music most of the time, (it is not just teenager music), especially people like BT, which makes it a SPIRITUAL experience for me, not just a 'getting' high experience.

i love meeting people at future events, who like me, only take pills once every few months, so it is REALLY SPECIAL EXPERIENCE.

I love the big clean toilets, not the few messy portables you see at a lot of raves.

I personally think the vibe from people who take pills (or speed) every weekend is bad, so i do not like the vibe at rave clubs at all.

I go with a big group of people, from 10 to 20, and it is a great group experience at these big events.

I like future events because it is not just a teenager event, like most rave clubs, it is a more mature crowd over all.

I will admit, i was very unimpressed and shocked with the very long line last year at Gods Kitchen, but i am now mentally prepared to wait in line 1 hour.

P.L.U.R. ;-)

You work for future don't you? It's the only reason I could think of that somebody would write a post like an advert.

P.S. Don't PLUR, you're obviously jaded.

Is there going to be a meetup???

Never been to Melbourne GK before so I don't know the venue. Making the hike down from Sydney for the weekend and would love to meet some of ya's... If one happens count me in...

Oh and Hi Kat (from Codeblue). So are you flying down for this too?

i'm a bit worried about a meetup..

with all this anger in the thread it could turn violent.

maybe we should organise a neutral zone, with no weapons allowed.

;) ;)

damn ppl and their musical opinions... get outta this thread and head into music discussion....

all i know is.. disco sucks...
