* Solgar's NeuroNutrient - X2 before breakfast
(L-Phenylalanine 167 mg
L-Tyrosine 167 mg
L-Glutamine 167 mg
Vitamin C 100 mg
Choline (bitartrate) 41 mg
Soy lecithin 33.3 mg
Vitamin B-1 5 mg
Vitamin B-2 5 mg
Vitamin B-3 5 mg
Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate (coenzyme form of vitamin B-6) 2.5 mg
Ginkgo biloba 50:1 6.7 mg)

* Omega 3-6-9 with every meal
* Centrum performance(also contains ginko and in addition ginseng) with breakfast
* the R isomer of Alpha lipoic acid in an XR version(its the universal antioxidant but unfortinately got a 3 hours half-life) - with breakfast
* Rhodiola rosea-Like ginsang, an adapdogen plant, as afficient as st.johns wort in fighting depression - with breakfast

sounds like a lot of supplements(5 actually:D ) but it works wonders for me better than SSRIs, I live a fast life, do lots of drugs and have a bad diet.

withdrawl questions about oxy

I had been going at a pretty good clip of eating oxy in the amounts of between 90-120mg daily for about 3 months (I would redose the same time daily, after work, with 30mg IR's, not sure of the actual name and I'm sure someone can identify it). Well, obviously I had issues and decided to quit, cold turkey, and face the w/d head on. Only thing is...it's been 7 full days since I took any oxy whatsoever...and I've felt very little w/d symptoms. The first day or two my leg muscles ached...but thats about where it ended. I've been sleeping relatively ok (although I have been smoking mj as well to help with that).

So my questions...shouldn't I have gone through more serious w/d already? Or am I in for a whallop in the upcomming week(s)? Or am I just lucky?

you may just be lucky......7 days is plenty of time for the onset of w/d's to take place.. and a habit like yours, I'd say, definitely warrants withdrawals......

my brother is going through the same shit......he just quit oxy cold turkey (similar daily dosage as you) and hasn't felt shit for w/d's......I don't get it.......I know I'd be hurtin'!!!!

Just count yourself lucky. I had the same question(s) too when I quit using oxys after 3-4 months of consistent use and had very little to no w/d symptoms like yourself. Then again when I stopped using heroin after 2 months of consistent use.. same deal, very little w/d symptoms. I don't understand it really and no one on the board had much of an explanation for it when I posted about it besides "count yourself lucky." Maybe our phsyiologies are just less prone to becoming physically dependant on substances and you and I just never used long enough to reach that point.. like I said I can't say for sure but whatever the case I think it best not to try and chance it again.

3-4 months heavy use... i think people overestimate the initial powers of addiction and withdrawl.

i had a daily heroin habit about 3 bags a day for a good solid 4 months straight, and quit without much physical withdrawl at all.

but i donno, everyones different so ur damn lucky dude hah

I definitely feel lucky, and won't be touching opiates or any physically addictive drug for the life of me. The dope took over and I wasn't myself...thanks for the replies ppl...best wishes.

while the physical symptoms may not be much, be careful of the mental addiction. i havent had any dope for almost 6 months now, and i'm still craving it just as bad, if not worse, than i was when i was doing it daily.

honestly i'd say that you arent so lucky that you didnt get bad withdrawls. if i had suffered through terrible pains when i was first dabbling in opiates, i wouldnt be stuck suffering like i am now.

re: the original question, the worst part of withdrawl usually happens in the first week, so you should be fine.

the first time i quit, i didn't have w/d's. after that, though, it gets worse. or, at least it did for me.

I am very aware of the mental issues...which is why I also completely (to the point where I couldn't get it if I wanted) severed my connection to them or anything else other than mj (which I will smoke until I have children or am forced to stop for other reasons, its harmless IMO).

I understand what you are saying, but I just have to say thanks for wishing horrible w/d's on me (lol). I have a TON of things to keep me busy and the mind off drugs...I just have to re-adjust to my old life (which was a lot happier than recent times). I am a software developer and have been writting code since I was 9...am involved in many OSS projects. And I also love to race and build cars (I used to autocross all the time, and I miss it greatly). Plenty to keep busy...oh yea...and I need a new gf, which was lost in the mess of my life over the last many months.

Thanks for your advice, it is appreciated. Good luck to you in the future, I hope you are able to stay away from opiates as I plan to be.

heroin withdrawl made easy

i was using heroin for about 2 months injecting. the last month i was up to about 100 dollar habit a day. Alot of shit went down and i had to stop using i went to the emergency room 1 hour into withdrawl after waiting an hour or so i was treated , They stuck some sort of clonepazm(spelling?) patch on my arm gave me about 200 mgs of tramadol and a bunch of ativan this chilled me the fuck out. theys ent me home with a script for tramadol and ativan im not sure what the mgs of the ativan was but it worked i slept through most of the 3 days of withdrawl and could not remeber anything that happened becasue i was so fucked up off the benzos. so if anyone has a heroin habit thats not too bad yet and needs to quit try the route i did and i gurantee you youll get through it. Also with the depression that comes afterwards NA meetings really really do help, search for the webpage call the hotline and look for a meeting in your area and you will be greeted with loving and open arms.

yeah....clonidine patches are good for getting rid of that "freezing + sweating at the same time" feeling......the first time I went to detox, they gave me one of these patches and enough Librium to put an elephant in a coma, but I still was miserable......

You guys sure are lucky to get all those meds. I dont have insurance and do not like going to hospitals. Let alone paying for them,

I always have to quit cold turkey. Boy does that hurt! Just thinking of it makes me shiver. Its free though.

yep, you definitely were LUCKY..yer WD seemed pretty light..i have been to that detox in a hospital setting and i have to admit i thought it was a WASTE OF TIME..first of all, it is EPENSIVE as all hell..i was in there for 5 days, and the total cost came out to right around $5500!!!i didnt have to pay it, but its still ridiculous..i mean, they gave me ATIVAN, DARVON, IBUPROFEN, and some RESTORIl or trazadone at night to sleep and YES i wasnt sick when i was in the hospital, but i felt like a zombier..people would come visit and i was only remotely "aware" i had company..my words likely didnt make sense, and the thing is, this particular hospital used to give METHADONE in small increments to patients..from what i heard they pulled it out cuz too many people were coming back, again and again..so after the 5 days, i go home, and then feel like total shit..i thought i was gonna be able to work within the next day or so but NO WAY JOSE...i was so miserably depressed, had no appetite, no JOY or relaxation whatsoever..i went out and used...

as for the whole "success" rate of these hospital detox routes, id give it MAYBE a 20% success rate...the chance for relapse is very high with this route..everyone agree??

also, a funny thing when i was in the hospital, i asked the nurse why i felt like shit even after taking all the meds..she replied"well, its good for patients to feel a little uncomfortable so they know what its like to kick drugs so they never come back again"...i was like, WTF is with that..load of bullshit if ya ask me..

If you think about it Active...

A psych visit runs from $250-$75-to free call in's (once you have a doc). Once there explain your w/d from opiates most are kind enough to accomidate, usual: Clonadine, Benzos, Compazine, Trazadone, Seroquel. Those are cheap meds w/ or with out insurance.

she replied"well, its good for patients to feel a little uncomfortable so they know what its like to kick drugs so they never come back again"...

Typical bullshit response, I usually reply I am paying big $$$ to be here and I was told I woud be medicated completely. So Ms. Pill Vending Machince, go back to your locked cabinet and open it up and give me my fucking pillls.

Usually after complaining enough you can get what you want. Some nurse's are straight up bitches including my ex-bitch g/f. ugh
