Mega Merged WD Thread

^lol, someone just got blah'ed(thats's not too funny anymore is it?) whatever bupe detoxs beats the hell out of crappy ass tramadpol.

I know a lot of the people who go through WDs have this immense fear (partially from reading horror stories, especially on BL--while WDs suck, the physical part is easier since it is tangible--the mental part goes on, and on, and on, and infinity).

The truth be told--the poor man's WD cabinet contains lots of immodium ad (for, um, duh), some benadryl for the nausea (thanks, whome, this worked wonders), benadryl for sleep, and ibuprofen for muscle aches.

This cabinet can be worlds better if you add seroquel for sleep at night (nothing beats it during this time). Add some anti-anxiety meds for the daytime anxiety (and some adderals or ritalin for the sleepiness the anti-anxiety agents will give) and you can get through this easy. The above meds are pretty easy to score, especially when one is desperate enough.

Providing one plans in advance and can score the appropriate meds in time (always plan in advance), WDs aren't as bad as people paint them out to be. The fact is, it is the price we pay for fucking around.

However, if you can score subuxone, that is going to make the whole thing that much easier; but again, the hard part is not the sickness but the emptiness that follows...I recommend some THC for this, and--if you can control yourself--indulge in some of the drugs that get pushed to the wayside during an opiate==oid (sorry, no slashes) addiction--cocaine in small amounts (not iv or smoked, simply sniffed--keep in mind the post coke blues), K, PCP (in small doses, especially considering the depression), and even E (I suppose, never tried this one and imagine the post-E blues would be worse than cocaine blues).

If none of this stuff can be acquired, go with Internet benzos and tramadol...I don't want to hear anyone say they can't score these (I know, times get tough, unplanned WDs creep up, no money--cause obviously if said person had money they wouldnt waste it on tramadol and ambien to wait to come in the mail). Anyway, it sucks either and every way but it isnt as horrible as some make it out to be. Good luck.

one time I had 50mg of seroquel as a backup for when I was going to need sleep.. well.. 50mg wasn't enough so I was in an anti-psychotic stupor on top of the withdrawal... that was pure agony

Ya, when i went to Rehab coming off a 100mg oxycodone a day habit they gave me a clonodine patch and it just knocked me the fuck out, killed the withdrawls too. That is good stuff for withdrawls.

WDing from methadone, dr. Rx'd manitol?

what is manitol? my dr. Rx'd it for methadone withdrawl . can manitol be recreational?

Here's a link you might find useful, with information about the drug.

It seems like your doctor is fucking you around, like someone said earlier.

...maybe he was trying to give you a placebo...?

either way get a new doc and some real anxiety meds.

OK it was a mistake, he wrote mannitol in the email but he really Rx'd me hydroxyzine or Vistaril for anxiety. I told him i was coming off of methadone and he prescribed Robaxin, Bentyl, and Vistaril - i was hoping to get Bupenorphine, do you have to go to a rehab clinic to get on Bupe, or can a regular doc Rx that? thanks

you don't have to go to a clinic for bupe but only certain docs can prescribe it.
pm me and i will send you the link to a doctor locater if you want.
as far as the vistral it is a antihistamine i was not aware of it being used for anxiety if you look in the pill id forum there is a link to wall's drug indentifier it is very full of info on most drugs vistral will help you sleep and is a great potentiator of methadone and other opiates/oids it will make make a 50mg dose seem like 80 or 90mg from what kdout in az told me and he knows his shit search for his posts the guy is an expert as far as i am concerned also a cool guy who is very helpful whats up k if you read this %)

A Muscle relaxer, a bowel comforter, and a [supposed] anti-anxiety agent. All relatively bullshit drugs that might help in the same way as hot bath, Immodium and Nyquil.

I am still out on the effectiveness of Hydroxyzine for controlling anxiety, I just picked up a script so I cant say to much on that matter but I am hoping it will add some comfort to my crazy life.

How long have you been on methadone and are you stepping off cold turkey or did you taper?

My friend just stepped off a 3 year methadone program after dropping slowly to 6mgs than he stopped, he experienced w/d symptoms for 2 months and counting [its probably closer to 3 months now] and he is still in discomfort and basically a mess. At first he could not sleep for 3 weeks [a wink here and there]. Pure hell and he was medicated with more appropriate meds that what you got scripted. I wont bore you with all the w/d symptoms he experienced and is still dealing with.

Best of luck to ya... (if you can kick methadone you win a gold star in my book)

take lots of imodium AD like 2 tablets per 10 mgs methadone every 11 hours until WD is over.

call me in two weeks.

I can't stay off methadone.... Since posting this, I couldn't stand the WDs ... NO energy whatsoever, depressed, all around shitty feeling - the drugs i was Rx'd (Robaxin, Bentyl, Vistaril...) did nothing for the withdrawls.

I really think i need to get on a Suboxone program.... but there are no doctors in my city that have the authority to prescribe it. Im really having a rough time with this--

edit: Do you guys think it would be "out of line" to ask my doctor (whom i have known basically all of my life) to Rx me some sort of opiate until i can get myself into a doctor who can Rx Suboxone/Buprenorphine ? When i first told him about my methadone addiction.... he said "well i can't Rx methadone because you need a federal lisence to do that" , which i don't think is true..... Any doctor can Rx methadone.....

thoughts?

You know your Dr. better than us. I have never heard of a Dr. prescribing an opiate for such an instance (doesn't mean it isn't done). Out of line? What's out of line? If you are suffering and need relief, and, as you said, you've known this Dr. all of your life, it's worth a try. Worst case scenerio... he balks, and may add some info. to your chart that you would rather not have registered. As I said, you're the only one that knows him. You may consider going to another Dr. that would be covered by your insurance. You could get "creative" in terms of getting what you want.... but, I wouldn't suggest it, because that would be lying, and lying is wrong ;)
