MDMA Recovery (Stories & Support - 7) [ALL LTC posts go here]

Yeah bro, your positivity is pretty awesome. I understand that MDMA is messing the chemistry in your brain short-term, however my memory was wrekt. Like I was confused where I'm sort of memory issue the following week. Been googling to find more cases of such prominent effects after mdma use, but failed to find any.

So that's a thing bothering me, also I took 0.6g ;( and next week another 0.18g.

The other thing is the multiple researches finding that MDMA is indeed impairing memory.

If I manage to explain those 2 concerns I feel like I can just say "screw it, nothing bad has been done to my brain".
there is no credible, all research on mdma and its consequences have been conducted on people who are partying, sleepless, have a poor diet, and also use other drugs, including amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, a 2011 study when only ex-insurers showed that there is no no cognitive differences

I hope you're right, I've started antidepressants and feeling good/fine no anxiety, even less before the ltc, but my memory is trashy. Can't tell a single thing that happen yesterday...

and before memory mdma was ok?

I’ve been experiencing LTC for 6 months, have been completely sober besides alcohols. I can’t tolerate any antidepressants they’ve tried and not sure I want too. My sleep has degraded to shit hahah. My current dr prescribe me .25mg dosage of Xanax to take as needed. Has anyone had success with this?

I've done a lot of articles on mdma and came across information in one of them regarding the mental decline of serotonin in some people, the point is that in some people mdma more disturbs brain biochemistry than in others, meaning that some serotonin levels may not return to normal condition after 2 weeks or months, it was written there that the level of serotonin can return to normal after about 3 years, 2-3 years I found no more about it but it would cover the time of recovery of most people so I can do something about it
interesting, very interesting, I will look for something more about it

It seems like my long-term memory isn't effected, but when your short-term memory is messed, you don't have the chance to turn your memories into long-term ones.

Is there any chance your memory problems are from smoking weed? I feel as if my short term memory has been destroyed since i started smoking weed in my younger days. And it just seems more apparent now to my anxiety issues from MDMA.

I don't smoke weed, just 2-3 times throughout my teenage years... :/

Hey guys,
I’m new here but just wanted to offer my insight and what has helped me. I am an avid mdma user. Let me first start off by saying that the mdma tests as almost 100% pure. The times I haven’t taken the pure I have felt extremely frightening side effects.
I take the pure mdma 1-2x a week - usually in a social , laid back setting with friends or if I’m out on a date. It had helped me a lot. Before taking the pure mdma I was always nervous or anti social. This has helped make a huge change in my life. I’ve been going on many more dates and have had many more connections with women. It makes me feel at ease , happy and more comfortable. I don’t get any rapid heart beats or many of the effects you guys describe. Sometimes a pain on the left side of my neck and shoulder (not sure from what and i haven’t seen this anywhere but my ex gf felt it also and it did get better after she stopped)I do feel down sometimes but a good night of sleep with clonoppen helps a lot. I’ve seem amazing improvement in my social and dating life. I do get anxiety at times but it’s nothing that I didn’t experience before taking it. It’s been about 2 years since I’ve started and have had only positive experiences with the pure mdma. I take many vitamins a day , eat healthy and exercise.
The 1-2 x I took what were considered by someone “good” mdmas were probably the worst and most scary times of my life. My heart flew up. I was sweating. Panicking and honestly thought I was close to a heart attack. I did keep try to tell myself it’s all in my head and i did take precautions and thankfully that awful feeling subsided. I will never ever take mdmas that are not pure. I’ve done coke in my younger days and that made me extremely anti social and just an introvert. I tried it now and it gave me weird nerve or muscle pains. Also panic attacks. Never again.
I take clonopen before bed and that has helped wonders. I have tried taking anti depressants but in my opinion the side effects of those are 100x worse than mdma. Anti depressants made my feelings numb, absolutely no libido and I just didn’t care for a think in the world. Then when you stop your comedown is just as bad. With mdma I’ve felt relaxed , happy and social with minimal side effects afterwards. Why would someone take anti depressants to feel good if they kill all feelings and mood?
Either way I’ve been doing great with the pure mdma, psychologically.
I have a question - I read somewhere that it diminishes your cognitive functionality. Memory loss? Does that happen to everyone once they stop it? I really don’t want my intelligence and brain to be affected in that manner. If it does , does it improve over time? Thank you all.

Don’t take anti depressants - you’re better off with mdma! Try clonopen. Works great before sleep and during the day. Xanex helps too. .25 is very low. I take .50-1mg once in a while if I really can’t relax. I can sleep perfectly fine with clonopen and melatonin. 5htp had an awful effect on me. Did nothing but make me more depressed for some reason. I believe the path to feeling better is getting solid sleep and being stress free - which mdma helps. Those work best In my opinion , most of the effects are all in your head. The power of thinking.

No I haven't tried i-theanine. Does it help?

I tried CITALOPRAM HBR 10 mg for a few days which wouldn't let me get proper sleep and made my anxiety worse. I also tried 5- HTPT which in my mind made things a bit worse. These days I take a tiny amount (about 6 mg) of CBD every day. But I am hesitant to rely too much on supplements.
Try to get clonopen from your doctors. It helps in sleep, relaxing your nerves and feeling calm. I wake up great from it.

“The type of drug taken also mattered. People who were on a long-acting benzodiazepine like diazepam (Valium) or flurazepam (Dalmane) were at greater risk than those on a short-acting one like triazolam (Halcion), lorazepam (Ativan), alprazolam (Xanax), or temazepam (Restoril).”
Clonopen wasn’t even directly referenced.

It's in the table, dude. Check again. I'm just sharing the research. I believe someone planning to take it, deserves to know about this credible research done???

Not to mention they cause horrible dependence and can literally kill you in withdrawal, not exactly a road I suggest others go down.

Benzodiazepines should not be taken lightly or if they are, not long term.

1-2x a week = do not listen to this guy. Wow terrible advice. Abusing heavily, and its gonna catch up. No1 is invincible.

A little update, I've stopped my mirtazapine antidepressant in the 2nd week mark, (1-2 weeks ago). Fixed my diet and feeling good again. This time I won't relapse, the conclusion I've came with was that I shouldn't eat anything that the stone-age man couldn't. That's all.

Is it anti-inflammatory, is it nutrient oriented is it whatever, I don't know, but that's what works best for me, and that's my solution to my LTC. I'll come less and less in the forum, but will give an eye from now and then to catch up with updates.
