MDMA Recovery (Stories & Support - 7) [ALL LTC posts go here]

Three years isn't LTC. It's something else. Please don't suffer needlessly. See a psychiatrist and talk about how you are feeling. The right therapeutic can help you feel more like yourself.
It is if you check the the old treads there are people who recovered in 7 years

So I was way better then before, last weekend I took 1/4 line of coke. Every symptom I had is back, even crazy fatigue.
Although this proves to me it’s not brain damage we suffer from.
Hope I will recover from this stupid mistake soon.
Probably don’t take coke ever again, I’ve seen multiple posts of people recovering or semi recovering, then getting fucked again for months because of a little coke

Haven’t been on this forum long enough to know this so it’s just a hunch… doesn’t it seem like the number of LTC cases is rising recently? Feels like a big influx of them in the recent dates I’m seeing.

This might support the theory that what’s causing it is some impurity in the mdma or maybe the chemical process of it. I don’t know, I’ve heard the UK has some shit stuff on the streets because of brexit

Even alcohol can do that, just for a much shorter period of time. I have a friend who suffered and alcohol is the only thing he dares to do.

I think its more likely that people tend to browse the internet much more and post their stories. A high dosage of pure mdma is the main cause.

Yeah, that’s true too. I don’t know what constitutes high dose though, I took 200mg and I’ve been in it but my friends have done entire grams in a night and been fine.

Also the alcohol thing - I’ve just reached month 3 and I can drink without having as harsh a set back as I used to in the 2nd month. Do you know if the set backs are a permanent lifelong thing now due to the brain damage or is it temporary?

Hey Richi, how much drinking can you do without the kick back? Can you get properly drunk or just 1 or 2 drinks?

I don't dare give it a go yet, but would like to at some point.

They will most likely return to normal "set backs". A friend of mine abused mdma between ages 13-15 and it took him 3 years to really feel "really good" again.
He can drink and get piss drunk but the day after he still gets this weird feeling/anxiety/memories of past but it clears up the next day.

With alcohol I get a hangover after a few drinks, with like you said a few ltc symptoms. Last years the hangover got less.
At the moment the ltc symptoms get worse, still think it’s strange after that small amount, few Red Bulls would probably give the same effect and that doesn’t bother me.
Started Zoloft again as precaution.

I drink 2 pints of beer or a small bottle of magnum (jamaican tonic wine) which is around 16% vol.

I don’t think getting drunk is a good idea at this stage for me so I don’t exceed this amount

Interesting, red bull or coffee and caffeine in general doesn’t cause me problems.

I've noticed large amounts of caffeine makes me worse, even though in general it's very bad. Things like pre-workout or red bull is a no.

do you feel 100% recovered while sober?

How many drinks have you had at the most?

I’d like to say close but I’m really in the dark myself. I’ve made multiple posts celebrating that I’ve recovered but have I really?

Basically, I’m having the good day and bad day situation. At this point most of my days are good and only occasionally I’ll have bad days (on avg 2-3 a week). The bad days are nowhere near as bad as they were in the first 2 months.

Bad day symptoms are:
Fatigue (mental and physical)
Very low mood
Socialising isn’t as good (not because I can’t form sentences, but because of my mood)
Tinnitus maybe for the first 20 mins of waking up
Low motivation
Trouble sleeping

Good days are almost normal.

I’m stuck on this “almost” normal feeling. It’s like I’m okay, I’m not experiencing intense symptoms but there’s a lingering thought in my mind that something is still off. Like I’m still DPDR’d. But the DPDR isn’t as bad as it used to be… it’s just a really weird feeling of loss (like ive lost everything that made me who I am?) like im just a shell of my former self walking around.

The biggest change recently has been my ability to drink a little bit without a kick back.

I'd say by the end of the summer you should be pretty good.

Sun does wonders too, to your body. Increases dopamine levels and can make you feel more assosciated to reality and things.

Same as me. All my symptoms were gone from years ago late 2020 did some coke burning stomach sensation came from that (new one) then 2021 it dissipated - end of 2021 I smoked a joint and had alcohol and legit died was vomiting so much… now I have burning rib pain all over all my neuropathic pains are back.

It’s so bad

Main pains (all physical)

- side of the rib paint left hand side
- top of left shoulder going up my neck to the base of my head
- my chest plate just below it where the rib has a junction it’s super painful in there where I press down.

Mainly all my physical pain is left side and it doesn’t seem like it’s fixing any time soon.

It’s like neuropathic pain.

um, three years can definitely be an ltc. go through this thread and the older threads and there are many people who have dealt with this for that amount of time and even longer.

how long for the symptoms to disappear again?
I did 1/4 of a line, such a small amount but I crazy regret it now, can’t get out of bed anymore.
