Importing prohibited imports - DON'T DO IT!

I've received word that an associate received a visit at work today from members of a federal agency. They had a quiet, informal discussion about some mail articles from overseas in various names which had been sent to various addresses - so while there would be wiggle room if he had good legal representation, there was essentially already a pile of evidence and intel.

While he vigorously denied everything, the stance these individuals conveyed in their discussions was this; you are being watched. You have been for some time. You can take all the precautionary measures you wish, and deny it all flatly, but we know what, when and how you're doing it, and we basically already have enough to prepare a brief on you as is. Do it again and you're gone.

My associate, had he engaged in the conduct alleged, would probably have been, to at least some degree, proficient in covering his tracks. This makes for a convoluted prosecution, and is probably the one and only reason that this informal chat occurred in this manner; expediency of process.

So allow this to serve as a timely warning to everyone here. Even small time, piss ant importers (in the words of these two agents, 'On a scale of 1 to 10, you're a 1) of things like benzos are on the radar, will be investigated and in their opinion, are worth prosecuting.

yeah that shit happens all the time. i had WU call me and say they wanted to make sure no one would get hurt. and when i asked why. they said that no one besides a terrorist would send so much money to s certian region of the world that happened to be the worlds largest supplier in arms. I told em i was buyin comp parts. it worked for awhile and then i went to prision. but it was only from my sloppy mistakes. be safe everyone and use your head. i lost years of my life due to this shit, dont let it repeat it self. Ask if you have doubts. i dont sell or buy anymore so i will give you a fair and truthful answer to any and all quetsions with or with out drugs involved. Just be safe every one.

I suppose sometimes it just pays to state the obvious.

Last thing anyone wants is the AFP knocking on their door, lol

Care to elaborate on the imports, the size and the frequency - otherwise it's simply a generalised warning that the majority will evaluate as holding no real weight. :\

Personal use quantities of benzos brought in ad hoc... if what the two agents were suggesting was correct.

Ah but the issue for (what i assume) most of us is whether the substance is illegalwhether the substance is illegal. I hope they dont pay attention to my tiny orders if it is.

If you think they will turn a blind eye to small quantities of illicit substances then you're going to be in for a rude shock. Prescription only meds will result in a love letter at the very least and/or a friendly visit, however, illicit substances will receive a nice charge of import a [insert amount here] quantity of a border controlled drug - not something you want on your record. :\

True that. I ordered a couple of packs of benzos from various sites a couple of years back. One got trhough ok but when i went to the Post Office to collect what I thought was the second I found a stern letter from customs saying 'we are watching, dont do this again'. guess I was lucky they hadnt got the 1st also. Im a bit suprised they would bother monitoring different names/adresses for personal use benzos but there you go. cheers for the warning.

It seems from what I read that they showed up at his work to cause them some embarrassment and also to make them look bad infront of their fellow employees and boss etc ...

to give a warning is basically saying yes we know what your doing so just stop it because it's not worth the tax payers money or our time to drag you through the court system so just pull ya head in and wake up to yourself ... BUT ...

your friend was smart in still denying it all even being confronted like that and also will have saved his ass as they always record every conversation now and if he said oh ok im sorry I wont do it blah blah that would have had him taken away for sure ...

don't ever trust the cops they always try and get you to confess and like to outsmart you...

your friend is very lucky ... and I also suggest you tell them to cut off all ties with anyone doing anything illegal and also calling your friends from a payphone might be a good idea to warn them that police have been watching.

I have had a few dealings with police and I don't hate them but I don't like them either but never say anything unless you have a lawyer present ..

and always say I don't wish to say anything until I have received legal advise ..

The majority of us have had run ins with the law with most being minor but still thanks for refreshing our memories.

Indeed. While I have heard of seizure letters (I believe this was this person's fifth or thereabouts) being delivered personally at 7am by uniformed ACS members telling people 'next time, we're taking you to court', two gents in trenchcoats flashing federal credentials at his work place (he's in a profession) and asking to speak with his manager (who was apparently absent, by the grace of God) before him was quite clearly a power play.

Interestingly, they didn't give him the formal caution before they started talking, so he could've admitted to killing JFK had he so chosen. This was an informal, as they put it, 'courtesy call'..

There is a reason I strongly advocate 'no comment' when dealing with the Police. One can't be enticed into saying anything stupid if you say nothing at all.

His legal rep and I had a chat straight after I heard about this. Its assumed his phones are 'off' ('off tap'... 'tapped'... geddit?) and he's been advised to proceed as such. As for him dealing with anything illegal, well, it is indeed his mess - and I warned him about it repeatedly. When I see him next, he can expect a serious verbal beating about his alleged conduct. We have a fair quantity of phone traffic so there's a possibility there'll be a B party intercept on me as I type this, but far be it from me to even contemplate criminal offending, much less vocalise same over a phoneline.

^^^

I think you should avoid him if you had warned him and you have anything that might get you in trouble as well ..but even if you have nothing to hide ... I'm sure you have heard of guilt by Association.

if he is a true friend then he would take your advise and especially if it will involve you getting into shit and everyone else as well ..

Cheers for the information fortehlulz. It seems so odd that they care about so little, but I guess it's still illegal and that is there job, to inforce the law. So I guess they must have a much closer eye on things then some people think.

lets hope the people inporting the new mdxx replacements read this carefully.

^ thats what I dont understand. there are people still importing the beta-ketone analogues in substantial quantities right under the noses of the TGA & customs??? what goes???

^^ maybe they consider importing benzos/analgesics/viagra easier to prosecute... at this point in time?

I have imported many schedule 4 items in the past and have never got a love letter. But they were never benzos, only shit like pregabalin and modafinil.

I too am interested why the mephedrone and methylone people get away with it? What goes.. they are clearly analogues..
